I was certainly more interested in the what they had to offer over the years with shows like Peter Pann, Power Rangers, X-men, Spider-man, and oggy and roaches, and Sam and Max.
The only reason I ever tuned into Kid's WB was to watch pokemon. I remember being pissed that they aired them both Digimon and Pokemon at the same time. My folks had a VCR and I would record one while watching the other.

I wish they kept One Piece somehow, all dubs are basically the same now. Also, it was amazing the hoops they were willing to jump through.

And they came to the game late too.
ABC, NBC and CBS already had cartoons for decades.

NBC was on the way out the door when they showed up, though.

There was a good two years of all four networks having a cartoon Saturday morning lineup before Saved By the Bell clones took over NBC.

man consider yourself lucky. Here in Romania we got Nickelodeon way after I stopped watching cartoons (circa 2009). I never watched Spongebob and all the memes I keep seeing with it makes me think that I missed out.
I think Disney Channel also replaced Jetix in like 2006 or 2007.

When did Saturday Morning actually die? It feels like some time in the mid 00s, That was a thing for like 40 years, wasn't it?

Early to mid 2000s for sure. Cable becoming more commonplace as opposed to Broadcast-only was one, said Cable having multiple channels dedicated to children/family programming, even things like the rise of import anime as a cheap-as-dirt way to fill air time thus meaning networks didn't want to pioneer new "bigger budget" shows when there was a more affordable Pokeyugimon to be had. But as for your question, per wikipedia:

      >Saturday-morning and Sunday-morning cartoons were largely discontinued in Canada by 2002. In the United States, The CW continued to air non-E/I cartoons as late as 2014; among the "Big Three" traditional major networks, the final non-E/I cartoon to date (Kim Possible) last aired in 2006. Cable television networks have since then revived the practice of debuting their most popular animated programming on Saturday and Sunday mornings on a sporadic basis.

"E/I cartoons" meaning shows that fit the rules of educational/informative shows, which were federally mandated starting in 1997 to get 3 hours of airtime per week. Fitting that into your scheduling blocks was another hurdle broadcast had to contend with and helped push Saturday Morning out the door.

For instance, UPN would only ever show cartoons when I was growing up Sunday morning. Under these guidlines, half their block would have to be educational in some manner, and your usual toy selling action cartoon didn't cut the mustard.
