Doctor Who is a shit franchise on the level of Star Wars or capeshit
Star Wars ar least had budget and good makeup and/or CGI
Let's not use hyperbole, Doctor Who is well below those, the show's fans are dangerously autistic
yeah but it's made by the br*tish so it's worse
Theres something deeply unsettling about a malicious entity being present all the time, and acting only when you look away
I can think of one but I might get banned
Hearty kek, anon.
Underrated post
say its name
Jews
I don't get it
Mods and jannies.
I thought it was something about israelites but I guess that fits better
They don't like that word here. The mods and jannies even bait people into saying it so they can ban you.
Why do you think there are so many bait threads?
To get you to say a forbidden word.
Which word, you mean israelite, or janny?
the nightmares I had of these frickers when i was younger.... it still scares me thinking about them.
of course they had to frick it up when they made the statue of liberty a weeping angel. fricking morons.
There is always somebody looking at the statue of liberty.
Such a shit idea.
Satan pit two parter was the highest kino
Bad taste
Weeping Angels were great at first. Became downright cartoonish in the end.
Tooth & Claw is the best episode
Tooth and Claw was ridiculous and stupid
a kung fu cult in Scotland and a contrived plot
Blink is only good the first time you watch it, and not so good on rewatches
there are some great bits
>It's the same rain
>they send you back to 1920s rural England
NOOOO THE HORROR WHAT WILL I DO WITHOUT DARKIES AND QUEERS AAAA SAVE ME DOCTOR
These days are much better.
NL
What does NL mean?
Netherlands
>mfw Amy and Rory got stuck in America
A fate worse than death.
Heaven sent is the best episode
if you are non bame straight, yes
Because Dr. Who is unironic dogshit
Isn't dr who a low budget government funded show for kids? Turning these cheap concepts into scifi sounds like fun and not something you should take seriously after puberty.
>Isn't dr who a low budget government funded show for kids?
more a family show and yes it was till it was rebooted by queer fanboys
>The best Dr. Who episode is the one without the Doctor
>The best BF DW release is the one without the Doctor
NHOF
ironic as well
>the best episode of series 4 is the one without Donna
It is an excellent example of how to do a bottle episode. With respect to writing it is the exception that proves the rule that Russell T Davies can't write
rustie is a comfy writter, not a plot writer
actually this is regarded as one of the best episodes I've ever watched of the show.
>kino plot
>dont get to see scary monster
it's like the dreamlord episode with matt smith. Recurring villians that the doctor will never beat.
The Doctor beat the dreamlord though.
did he though? Rewatch it anon.
>The best Dr. Who episode is the one without the Doctor
Mission to the Unknown
>The second best episode is the one where it is 95% JUST The Doctor.
Heaven Sent > Blink
I feel that way too.
The issue is that I was going by the rating on IMDB that was voted on by the fans.
I liked Blink, and it was a novel idea, but on rewatch it does not hold up the same energy as the first viewing.
Heaven Sent I could watch several times a year for the scenery chewing Capaldi does.
Wind him up, let him go, and stay out of his way and enjoy the greatness.
I like Heaven Sent AND Hell Bent. Don't understand the seething hate the latter gets, as far as finales go I was pretty satisfied.
>I was pretty satisfied.
what about the wife?
She was very satisfied with episodes like Bad Wolf, Silence in the Library and Forest of the Dead.
The best Dr. Who episodes are the ones without bames
What are bames?
Doesn’t matter, now listen
The good doctor has to pay
No the best Doctor Who episode is City of Death
no bames on that one
Nuwho > classic who
I used to be ignorant like this until I realized that nuwho is all just spectacle meant to appeal to teens and gays, while classic, although very horribly paced even compared to other shows at the time, is comfier and just has something about it that nuwho lacks
I do honestly think they should have dropped the 25-minute serialized format as soon as the 80s came around and went to 45 minute standalone episodes.
Best episode was the one set in WW2 with the child wearing a gas mask, maybe it was a two parter. It's been ages since I saw Doctor Who.
Yah, 2 parter
>just this once rose, just this once everybody gets to live
Fricking kino, and betrays the sadness the doctor always keeps bottled up about everyone around him dying and his inability to save them due to whatever the monster of the week is on other episodes
HEY
WHO TURNED OUT THE LIGHTS
Dr. Who has always been shit. Red Dwarf is the best British sci-fi show by a mile.
I believe we’ve been through this moment before
This episode has some of the best romance in addition to the great plot. Sally Sparrow likes it big and she can fricking get it. Moffat writes his women to have certain desires. He knows a little romance on the BBC is what families want to see when they turn on the tv
Why did they just bolt them to the floor?
The best Dr Who episodes are the ones without the homosexual in a suit
So the ones without Tennant?
>How the frick is this considered the best doctor who episode?
Have you only seen it or something? Doctor Who is complete fricking garbage and that's how a mediocre in a vacuum episode like that gets hailed as the best since compared to the rest it's a fricking masterpiece.
I like the one with Van Gough.
Yeah, that was another excellent one. Bill Nighy, and a manic energy Tony Curran with the walking sexpot Karen Gillan?
It was an assault on all of your senses from every direction.
Capaldi was definitely my favorite Doctor, but Tennant and Smith are too close to tell for a favorite between the two.
I liked the dark undercurrent of Capaldi. They all had their dark moments, but Capaldi was fricking dangerous where Clara was concerned.
And the chemistry between Missy and Twelve was unreal. Far better than the other incarnations of the Master and The Doctor.
>Capaldi was definitely my favorite Doctor
is the forum crowd returning at last?
Didn't half of the tripgays who got exiled to the forum troon out?
qrd
dunno just heard rumors that many of them took the estrogenpill (pun intended)
No Chinball episode is good or memorable.
>No Chinball episode is good or memorable.
chibnall era, but both non chib at script at all
Even all five of the non chib ones were forgettable, dull, and uninspired
Fugitive of the Judoon and Revolution of the Daleks are very memorable.
Both cliched retreads of RTD and Moffat plots
I'm assuming there are a lot of discussion forums for Doctor Who. It's highly probable.
No, i don't participate in those.
I do pop into occasional Doctor Who threads here, but I stopped watching after the first episode with the female Doctor.
I don't think I've ever had a discussion with a human in front of me about the show either.
I started watching it out of curiosity about all of the hubbub, and enjoyed a lot of episodes, and disliked many.
Overrated trash. It's a sappy, weepy version of the Charles Dickens episode in S1 for redditors with no sense of subtlety. I don't mean to attack you personally but anyone who loves the Van Gogh episode is a homosexual of the highest caliber.
Blink is such an excellent script. There are so many great ideas in there, and even with that it's super tight and even comes under in runtime (leaving room for the 1-2 minute "don't blink" montage at the end).
Btw the best episode is Heaven Sent -> Hell Bent. Doctor Who's strength is the variance. Yes there are tons of slop eps. But there are at least 10 episodes that rank amongst the best in any show.
Sadly doctor who fans are irredeemable
Kerblam > Punjab
It's scary to people who can't stand horror. That's what I've concluded.
Because the rest are worse. Doctor Who is garbage.
Honestly though what the hell was Chris Chibnall thinking? Or was he?
>when the Moffat era started running out of steam, people began complaining about how the plots began to feel tired and repetitive
>so the first thing Chibnall does when he takes over is produce the most tired and repetitive shit ever BUT with bland acting, atmospheric droning for music, awful sets, and snooze-worthy direction for an even worse viewing experience
The scary faces they make are cheesy, but it's a great creature concept. It works much better in video games than in film though. Minecraft endermen, SCP-173, and Metro librarians come to mind.
>Blink one eye at a time
I don't see how they're that dangerous
You're just gonna keep looking at it indefinitely?
They can get you from multiple angles.
That first episode was good, then they tried to milk its popularity and make them a thing and it turned moronic and cringe.
The Time of Angels > Blink
It's a protestant thing. The deep know they're heretic heathens so depictions of saints and religious figures are unsettling to them.
