When Carol went to the future to beat up Namor and Enchantress future evil son, Carol met Rhodey’s adult daughter who revealed Carol wasn’t her mother. When Carol came back to the present, she didn’t want to prevent the future daughter’s birth so she broke up with Rhodey.
Carol then had a one night stand with Dr Strange.
She then defeated another big bad, Then Rhodey came back to her and said frick the future, your my woman. So they got back together for the last 3 years.
But then in Iron Man comics 2023, Rhodey was framed and sent to prison.
And he and Carol never mention each other now.
