Yeah, you've got 2 pans. Why not put both steaks in one pan and cook the eggs in the other pan? That way you can have the steak pan on high and start cooking the eggs a little bit later. Cooking 101

it wasn't in the morning, which is why i thought it was weird they were eating steak and eggs. i guess because the farm mostly did milk, eggs, and meat?

they were also serving mashed potatoes and gravy with it all, which isn't a breakfast thing.

Is a six mile walk supposed to be impressive? I walked from Belltown to Mercer Island every morning for two years. I could go a day and a half without eating, I've been on enough long hikes where I didn't pack food. I don't do it often because it's stupid and your body tells you it's stupid. You read some shitty book and molded your life around it, instead of just listening to your body.
But answer me, do you drink alcohol? Do you hunt? Do you eat foods that no prehistoric fricking caveman could possibly eat? Yes, well shut up and get off your high horse. It's trained behavior. Your body spikes insulin at your regular eating times so if you eat a large meal in the morning you will start waking up craving a large meal and if you are fat and binge eating you will start craving a bigger meal until you're puking in the mornings from overeating.

About once a month I go to a local diner. They cook everything perfectly, tastes great, good prices, good service, and its been there for like 40 years. But if I go there for breakfast Im useless for half the day. I do not understand how people can eat heavy for breakfast, then have lunch, and a full dinner at the end of the day. Peoples bodies function differentely because their endocrine profiles which controls their bodily functions are all over the place, which is why a one-fits-all diet that a lot of social media grifters push is insanely stupid. People are different and they should consume food at a rate and frequency which makes them feel and perform optimally, which they themselves know best because it's their body

Ok, but eating a Dennys Grand Slam isnt going to make anyone perform optimally. People arent typically eating a whole cantaloupe and boiled eggs as a "heavy" breakfast. If youre a Guatemalan construction worker I get it, but people are eating 1000 + calorie breakfasts then sitting in a cubicle.

            >I do not understand how people can eat heavy for breakfast
Totally agree. I do bacon egg and cheese English muffins sandwiches I make at home for dinner sometimes but for real breakfast I always do oatmeal with blackberries when in season, a cup of milk, and I shoot back a couple of raw eggs. A lot of people think the raw eggs are gross but it's imperative you're buying quality eggs like egglands best when doing it. I used to use store brands like Publix and just can't do it anymore. Cooked I can't really tell a difference but raw it's night and day

I have my own free range chickens and I cannot taste a difference between them and store bought. I eat the eggs they produce of course vs some bird in a cage, but beyond some color differences and the occasional yolk membrane thickness Ive never found a flavor difference. I have multiple breeds of chicken as well. Not saying you cant tell the difference, but gun to my head I cant - and Ive been raising chickens for years.

If you can sit behind a desk and chill all day while skimming through academic papers and then go home and sit on your couch all day long, then yeah, skipping breakfast might work for anti-aging purposes. But if your lifestyle or job is energy intensive in the slightest, then you need to load up on carbs to get through the day without ending up with severe fatigue. Try going on a 8h hike without eating breakfast and see how you feel. That's how people in manual labor or with active lifestyles feel if they don't eat breakfast

The clue is in the name. You're not meant to eat after evening at that point you're "fasting" until the next morning to which you Break your fast, breakfast. Big meals should always be at the start of the day not the end, to fuel you. If you're eating a large meal at the end of the day it's going to sit on your gut and you'll get fat.

plant proteins are different from animal ones. Plant ones have to be processed by our body first to make them useful, while those from animal sources can be used as they are.
Also, plants produce toxins to defend themselves.

Your argument is correct but the easiest attack vector would have been to point out that broccoli is incredibly low in protein compared to meat, and the average person would need to consume more than 2kg of broccoli every single day if that was their main protein source

It's fricking moronic. If you take your eggs out when they're ready they will go cold by the time your steak is ready. Should you leave them in the pan until the steak is done they'll be overcooked to the point of inedible, not to mention it's going to frick up your ability to get a crust on your steak.
Cook your steak and then rest it and while it's resting do the eggs.

You take the steak and set in on a cutting board covered loosely with foil. It actually gets more cooked as the heat on the outside works in towards the center and helps get a cooked inside without burning the outside. The rest also lets the juices reabsorb into the meat so instead of it all coming out as you cut it comes out as you chew for more flavor.

Those really shouldn't be cooked in the same pan.
You fry eggs over low-medium heat for 3-5 minutes.
You sear a steak for roughly 3 minutes on high heat until both sides are brown and then you let it rest for 10 minutes (or put it on low heat for a 1-3 more minutes if you want it to be more well done on the inside).

So with the method in OP either your steak will not be brown or your eggs will be burned.

There are some thin soups that are just meant to be eaten as an appetizer or in order to make plain noodles appetizing (your poor people food).

But stews are some of the heartiest food you can make. Most of them are incredibly easy to cook, can be eaten for several days in a row and you can freeze and unfreeze them without ruining the taste/consistency. A hearty stew also tastes great and has all nutrients you might need.
If you suck at cooking or are generally lazy then stews are the way to go.

      Anonymous

a typical quick solo meal that contains all nutrients you need consists of >a pot of pasta (not containing eggs) or rice
make 250+ grams at a time, these products can be reheated several times, no problem, so you only spend the full ~10 minutes cooking pasta or rice every other day. the rest of the time you just splash some water in the pot and reheat for like 3 minutes.
      >buy frozen vegetables, NEVER buy canned anything
vegetables keep most of their nutrients when frozen, basically none when canned. canned food in general is a seductive option when you start living on your own. resist the temptation, canned foods are garbage in terms of nutritional value. also if it comes in a glass you can bet there's sugar in it. hope your country has detailed labels. if not, avoid cans AND glass altogether.
      >some kind of meat or fish in a pan
use butter or coconut oil, have pepper and some herbs on hand to enhance this part of the meal

assuming you don't get an automatic dish washer because you're living on your own and saving money:
      >do your dishes right after the meal. nothing sticks to pots and pans yet. massive effort and time save. remember that if you wait until you want to cook you'll have to manually dry dishes with a towel as well! huge waste of time, avoid.
      >get one of those metal grill thingies for drying dishes by just leaving them sitting around. if it doesn't have a floor you can just put a towel under it. with this there is no need to ever dry anything manually.

I'll personally eat some eggs and toast for breakfast if I'm feeling hungry, but most of the time it's just 1 or 2 cheese sandwiches.

Cast iron fetishism has been a thing for like 10 years

Try 40 years. Cast iron got real big in the camping and survivalist (vefore people called them preppers) communities in the mid 80s. But over the last ten years youtube/social media cooking has made it a lot more appealing because nonstick pans just don't last as long.

No real evidence that it has any negative effect. Just the usual hysteria.

Pretty far down on the list of things that are bad for you. Indian, Chinese and probably other Asian producers have started adding lead and other metals to powdered spices that are imported by big food producers in the west and repackaged or used in pre-made meals. That's probably the biggest thing to be on the lookout for if you care about health

Also, if it wasn't obvious they do it to increase the weight and increase profits. While I think it began as pure corporate greed, it's a little strange that the governments down there don't seem to crack down on it, which means they probably see westerners becoming brain damaged from lead poisoning as a bonus

People with fast metabolism that can eat all this shit and have it broken down within several hours are proof that society isn't meant for the natural world anymore

I uses to be envious of fast metabolism but with the coming food shortages, I actually feel better to know that I have great wager retention and need less food to be alive
Best part is that I'm 6foot and 180 lbs with room to get larger

I used to season pretty heavily and eat a lot of spicy ethnic foods but after becoming aware of all the fricking psyops and propaganda meant to make white people feel ashamed and inferior I threw all my spices and hot sauces in the trash because I started feeling like I was complicit in the psyop. My meals have felt much more wholesome just using salt and pepper. Like I cut out some mental poison.

Encourage you all to spend at least a week eating tradition white foods with no globohomosexual spices added. It will benefit your mental wellbeing and sense of pride in your heritage.
