This cost $17 million dollars for each episode before any marketing costs. How the frick does this make Netflix any money.

Streaming doesn't make money, Netflix has been in the red for years and it's part of why WB is actively dying and Disney is crashing.
All stocks are bubbles to burst
Money isn’t real
Anime Live Acrion TV:Show with Gaijins Gross
Can someone spoiler me what the one piece actually is?
it still hasn't been revealed in the manga, there's only speculation, the most convincing one is a massive gold tomb that tells a tragic story
So it's basically a mystery box that the author is waiting to figure out?
no, he has already told his editors what it is, he has know it for years, it's just that we spent years stuck on muh glorious nippon arc so the overall progress of the story halted, we're slowly getting back on track now in egghead island
All we know is that its allegedly Gold Roger's treasure hoard.
What if his greatest treasure was the life he lived and the story? The one piece was inside of all of us
Oda already said it's not any of that gay metaphorical shit
The author confirmed years ago that the One Piece is a physical thing and not the journey or the friends or such.
8% its alien related shit. You have ap whole bloodline that dresses like astronauts
The best theory I've read about what the One Piece is, is the one that goes into detail about how its the All Blue. The one piece being the All Blue is foreshadowed heavily while also immediately achieving the dreams of nearly all the crew members. I wish i still had the link to the theory that explains it, but its really convincing.
A macguffin to keep you reading/watching.
underrated
Joyboy's sake. (Binks Sake)
This is the most convincing theory I've heard so far.
JoyBoy's tale, The whole story of the Void Century and Roger's treasure.
A piece of evidence like a photo showing the celestial Dragon's doing something silly and embarassing. So embarassing that they created the Void Century to stop anyone from finding out about it.
luffi's boipussy
The friends we made all along
Tricky answer. It’s a bronze statue of joyboy (luffy) and an entrance into the all blue aka a way to “unite” all the oceans. This includes the moons btw. But it can only be accessed by a certain awakened devil fruit that has been lost to history been found lost and found again only for our moronic protagonist to eat it.
It’s one piece of gold, it’s right there in the name
It’s a big ol fried chicken leg from Popeyes
Never doubt a weebs capacity to consume products. They will plaster their rooms with One Piece merchandise, plushies, posters and figurines.
This. Netflix isn't footing the bills for these adaptations.
i'll believe they spent ~20m to market this shit as evidenced by how hard they're shilling it
They don't.
I liked buggy, was he in the anime a lot? I'll give it a watch if he is.
he's the best part so far
He's here and there in different arcs. He's always one of the best characters when he shows up
He’s relevant, but you can go hundreds of chapters without seeing him once.
The Smith-Mundt Modernization Act of 2012
>$17 million dollars for each episode
There's no way?
I just googled it, holy shit.
This is a scam.
I could make one peice live action, just as good or better.
Just give me a couple years, and a team of talented low cost college cgi students, and access to some basic cgi programs online.
I'll just do the shit corridor digital does.
Costs about ...free? 100$?
The millions is litterally just going in pockets.
No way it's actually being spent on stuff in show.
This would be like if i said i needed 100 million to build a table or backpack or water bottle.
Imagine, 100 million for a water bottle.
Man we should throw some cheap live action/cosplay/cgi shit at netflix, make it for like 100, maybe 1,000$, and demand like 20 million.
This is my new make tv rich plan.
Finished the series. Overall rating about a 7
Pros:
>Buggy was great
>All the villains were done well (it was fine to cut Don Krieg in order to build up Arlong a bit more)
>I think the stuff with Garp and the marines worked well, even if Garp is a bit more reserved
>the arcs felt more connected
>the strawhats were generally pretty good (Ussop is a bit cringe, but less cringe than manga Ussop)
>the hints to stuff to come in future arcs was cool
Cons:
>they showed the pose before the walk to Arlong park, but cut the walk
>The changes with Cocoyashi village were lame, Nobody knew that Nami hadn’t betrayed them, not even Genzo. They also changed the pinwheel origin.
>No Hachi (I kinda get this since he’d be extremely expensive to do)
>Luffy is sometimes kinda cringe
>I wish Mihawk showed up in the coffin boat
It was okay. Much better than Cowboy Bebop, but that’s not really an accomplishment.
Inb4 Luffy is actually a space alien with an evil twin brother.
The day One Piece ends is the day the world ends, the mountains will split in half, massive earthquakes and a bunch of demons will come out of the underworld and start eating the flesh of all mortals
How is this so expensive? I didn't recognise any actors and the trailer doesn't look high budget.
toobig2fail method
Because they pocket most of it
