This feels rushed and too fast paced for its own good. For instance the boat only appears 20-30 minutes before the movie ends and theh didn't even show much of it before the final confrontation.

So? I'm not trying to sound flippant but literally so what? I'm not following you on why thats even remotely an issue let alone important.
yeah my reaction... and seeing cady float away while singing gospel worked beautifully
?t=206
and you require the boat to be in the movie for a longer period for what reason? would have have felt better if the boat had more screentime?
It is kino, it is a bit weird because Spielberg was supposed to direct it, look it up
and Reese Witherspoon was supposed to be the girl but she completely bombed her audition.
The script changed significantly when Scorsese came onboard. The seduction scene wasn't in the Spielberg version, for instance. Instead it was a cliched sequence where he comes to her school looking for her and she runs away and hides from him.
Women like cool tattoed maniacs so it makes sense for her to be interested
I remember being high as frick watching this movie and being so creeped out when he offered his daughter that joint. The whole scene was so weird.
WELL FRICKIN ADMIRAL BOATFRICKER HERE WISHED FOR MORE BOAT
lmao
>I've got a fever. And the only cure is more boat.
it's Chekhov's boat, dummies
>movie no good
>NEEDS MORE BOAT
Based moron

When I dont see a boat
Who has the best at home workout?
Why was blackbolt and captain marvel on his wall?
For starters apparently literally the only explanation for this particular aspect of it, is that its supposed to indicate how long he's been in there. If that correlates to whats told about it in the movie which I'd be interested to see. I've seen it a few times but its been years. Offhand as I vaguely recall it should correlate approximately. Captain Marvel #53 came out in 1977.
Black Bolt is a very big leader and Captain Marvel is certainly a leader type. I'm not that familiar with him.
They are images of baroque, powerful characters like the one he's consciously tried to transform himself into while in prison. This is also why he has pictures of real-world historical dictators.
He's actually the polar opposite of Black Bolt in a lot of ways. Black Bolt doesn't speak and relies on sign language or something I dont remember at all. Possibly the most famous fictional mute character of all time. I assume Helen Keller is the most famous actual person.
Oh cool I've havent seen that.
so i watched this gif and even now, after 10+ years of these flicks, i am still completely confused by the fact adult men watch these films and enjoy them. its literally those stupid power rangers shows that were on tv a couple decades ago but with fancy new graphics
Why do these all look ai generated
The worldbuilding is so lazy. like who built the boat? what are its tax policies?
We need the Cape Fear extended universe to show us how Nick Nolte got his boating license
>how Nick Nolte got his boating license
Or did he? How deep does this rabbit hole go? People will just have to watch to find out.

Fantastic Four Vol 1 44
This story is the very first reference to the Inhuman race of which Black Bolt is the leader.
and Black Bolt is mute by choice but more specifically restraint. His power is his voice but just like another naturally born superhuman Cyclops who when he doesnt wear his visor his lasers just blast everywhere, if Black Bolt just very softly whispers a single syllable it can like level a mountain or something. Something that as I recall only very rarely like a couple of times at all has ever been used. So as I recall his character and even kind of like his power and certainly how he's known, is of restraint. Black Bolt is literally in an absolute constant state of calm dignified restraint.
*most famous mute hero/protagonist of all time
Jason Vorhees
Michael Myers
etc
Never saw this movie, does the killer recite the rousing score from the H.M.S. Pinafore?
How hot is Juliette Lewis in it? That's all I care about.
>How hot is Juliette Lewis in it?
Isn't that the truth!
I was asking. Didn't realize her character was supposed to be 14, she was the only reason I was gonna watch this movie.
She plays up the jailbait thing quite well.
Yeah, I'm not gonna watch. I thought this was gonna be another one of her bimbo roles.
I think it's still boat kino right up there with jaws and apocalypse now, not for sheer presence/screen time of Boat but more the impact of the boat in the final scenes and the overarching theme of the boat as a metaphor for the perils of capitalist excess
>not for sheer presence/screen time of Boat
I would think not. It's only in Cape Fear for about 20% of the movie which is just totally laughable.
It's a shitty remake.
>all the characters are terrible people
Who the frick am I supposed to be rooting for? I hope they all die.
Marty can be such a fricking hack sometimes.
>Who the frick am I supposed to be rooting for?

.......BOAT.........

MORE LIKE CAPE QUEER
I liked this movie but the music amplifies how good it is.
Scorsese only made this to get the money for the Last Temptation. It's clear he did not give a shit about it.
its kino and the effort is clearly there. did you not watch the maid scene where Cady is an expert in stealth?
My mind was blown when I found out the Simpsons episode was a parody of this.
