>this film is 92 years old
>the actors in it are rotting away inside their own coffins somewhere
>they already finished their entire lives decades ago
>the director is long dead
old movies are truly horrifying.
watch it for yourself and tell me that it doesn't shake you to the core:

get a grip homosexual
As always, the real horror is in the comments.
Larry is underrated.
The profile picture matches the comment.

Nipples protruding very disrespectful, Sad!
>I used to enjoy thing back when it was socially acceptable but now that it's considered problematic, so I don't like thing anymore.
literal npc behavior assuming it's not a troll account
>more people can identify them than Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton, or Jerry Lewis
This isn't even true, dumb boomer.
It was a different time

They will. God is incredibly thorough, and incredibly patient. All things are solved in the end.

Just wait till AI analyzes all the information available about people who died and recreates their consciousness in cyber space.
the information would largely be incomplete so we'd have shambling echoes of half-phantoms on autopilot haunting the living instead. which is still pretty fricking spooky
In fact this is likely happening right now on off the grid government super computer sites. Essentially a new universe is being created using all the information being collected by the collective consciousness that is the internet. Go even deeper and realize this process is how we exist here, as projections into a 3d realm through the same process. We are just information. You were a living person in the "real world" and your current consciousness was synthesized by AI into this digital world which to use is indistinguishable from the "real world".
>Pic related is the only person who has enough data online to create an accurate digital entity.
I never understood the people who focus on that fact when watching old stuff. I wonder if there's a correlation between people who feel that way and people who can't separate art from the artist. I just see the Three Stooges as characters, not actors playing characters.
do you consume analog horror? because you come off as someone who does. you have to be 18 to post here.
Every movie released today star people that will die and rot away too. You will see every current living actor age in real time and die. Unless you die an early. Stop over-thinking death.
There's a fair possibility eternal life will be achieved within the next 100 years, coupled with life extended technology it is foreseeable that some movie stars of today may actually never die.
theres no possibility of that happening.
grow up
>old movies are truly horrifying.
No it's not you zoomer iPad child. It's a window into the past. All of these people would feel honored that you care enough to enjoy their work.
I've thought this all the time, and have even checked to see who's alive out of old stuff I watch. It's interesting. It's a window into the past. Grow up and grow a pair, little zoomer.
I blame spending the days of my youth watching SpikeTV and TCM for making my sense of humor incompatible with everyone else of my generational cohort.
I won't even associate with anyone who doesn't find the 3 stooges hilarious.
And just like that I end up shutting out 98% of the current human populace.
>Hop in, dude!
I'd rather know 2 based 3 stooge lovers than a million homosexual morons.
Sorry, this is a groucho marx board, reddit is up your ass and around the corner.
3 stooges are kino
Shemp > Larry > curly > Moe > dogshit > Joe besser
Shemp always gets under rated but I also consider him to be the best.
Yeah, Joe sucked
on the plus side they are burning in hell on account of being israeli
That reminded me of this https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Lpyhno5r4Ic
Very old films are really cool, I think, insofar as they often show that not all that much has changed. Metropolis is 100 years old and uses an assload of conventions still used by Cyberpunk today (no doubt because Blade Runner was basically just Metropolis fused with Dick's story). It's even got some Japanese stuff thrown in there. Casablanca isn't much younger but in a lot of ways it feels like a contemporary film.
>watch 62 year old movie
>the star who played a man old enough to be a grandfather is not only still alive but not even retired
Great kino too, good post anon.
For those wandering "Harakiri" (1962) [Kobayashi]
>we gave this up for tiktok prostitutes and roasties
and it's never coming back
just revoke women’s rights
The modern equivalent would be a thot wearing designer street clothes rambling to you about astrology while high on bars.
sell me on shemp, why isnt he just a guy that looks like moe but takes beatings like larry
Because of his antics.
Well for one he had the best hair by far.
Only one of the Stooges to have a successful solo career.
Curly is better overall but Shemp is in the best one: Malice in the Palace
Bros where can I get a torrent of all their curly and Shemp shorts in decent quality?
Internet Archive should have all of them, first short he appeared in was Fright Night and his final short was Commotion on the Ocean.
*first short Shemp appeared in
Number 177 Hoofs and Goofs was when Joe showed up
I love that Moe is the straight man yet still is as dumb as the rest
That's why they're the Three Stooges, Moe is the somewhat grouchy leader.
A tarantula!
I think my favorite part about 20s and 30s properties is they really didn't have doubles back then, it was either the actual actor or a dummy
But really I find it crazy that they were able to play their roles with such immense discipline, I don't know how Curly could take a slap and immediately make Zoidberg noises without pissing his pants laughing
The 3 stooges invented chinese industrial accident videos?
goddamn they were good
fricking lol, also moe took a pretty good fall there
it's based, I'd like something like this to live beyond me when I'm dead, entertaining the chilluns, it is the ultimate shitpost
That's all going away. Videogames and VR are the next thing.
Futuristic people will be in the VR going to 1920s movie theaters and watching old movies. It will be fashionable to live in virtual eras of the past. Flying around in jet packs. Or rolling in carriages. You will seem like a total idiot to want to return to base reality.
I like tracking the awareness of space in old movies. During a recent horror movie marathon it was interesting to see a film where no one looked up (the Mummy) to two guys having a conversation about building observatories in California (the Wolf Man) to space travel being a possible thing (Creature from the Black Lagoon)
