>attentionprostitute. being an attention prostitute
what's new. this homosexual just likes hearing other people praising and honoring as if he's gonna retire then he changes his mind once again. addicted to it
Whoa who saw this coming?
After all the shills bending over backwards to defend Boy and Heron's awful quality with "IT'S NOT MEANT TO BE A REAL STORY, IT'S HIS SELF EULOGY"
Most japanese are literal NPCs. Like chinks but more civilized. Imagine listening to them.
Sure, now consider that the most positive thing about the movie according to them was that it was his farewell letter to audiences with the implied "now how will YOU live?"
If that's the best npcs can come up with, what does that say about the movie?
it's derived form a novel which loosely inspired the film
the shortened variant is "How Do You Live", no idea why they adapted this title as The Boy and the Heron, this shit sounds generic as frick
He's been making films about how old he is for the past 10+ years. Wind Rises was about him putting his work before his life. The documentary showed how he thinks he's at the end of his career and the next generation should carry on. If he's not going to retire then he should stop being so woe is me in his stories and embrace being old.
Pretty sure he has that "if I retire I'll die" mindset. I've met a few guys who worked into their fricking 90's thinking they've found the antidote to death. Tbf, two did die soon after they stopped working.
Same with my dad, he's in his 70s but still teaching. Keeping their minds and hands active staves off the senility and physical deterioration, or so goes the theory.
Can't he just make a sequel or soft spinoff to one of his biggest hits? Shinkai already did it. Anno wants to do it with Nausicaa. >inb4 they're hacks
Hayao has been a hack ever since what he did to Howl's Moving Castle and passed Earthsea over to his son.
Didn’t know they still made movies after Spirited Away
Miyazaki has made the same movie ever since. Ghibli put out Kaguya directed by Takahata and that's very easily the best thing they've ever made.
the ending depressed me for a few days
Kaguya is great stylistically, but is really basic in everything else.
Bes Ghibli film is Pom Poko for sure.
Yeah ponyo and the wind rises? Basically identical
might as well be. they're both equally forgettable
I don't get it. In your head does spouting moronic shit on an anime child porn forum make you seem cool? Is it some sort of clinical delusion?
>can't conceive of any motive beyond trying to be cool
at least pretend to be over 18
Daily reminder Kaguya lost the Oscar to Disney capeshit.
He'll save anime from the trannies

this
he's been saying he's going to retire since Mononoke
i dont even know the official number but it was like 11 or something in the mid 2000's
i'm referring to the times he said he was retiring that is
/thread
the more this guy is alive the more I lose respect for him. asians are so insecure
Whoa who saw this coming?

Did the voices in your head say that?
No, the comments over at Eiga dot com say it. It's basically their Rotten Tomatoes but with only audience feedback.
>DA JAAAAAAPS HATE IT LOOKA DIS TWITTER THREAD BROOO
You never get tired of this shit huh?

If they were NPCs, then they would've liked this movie.
He saw that the biggest current anime meme is Shinkai and decided he has to save us from that hack.
>muh final movie
This guy is like the Tarantino of Japan. We get it, you're self-important and everyone should care about your filmography.
Somehow, Miyazaki returned...
I'm literally him but with porn instead of filmmaking
why? he's going to die midway and someone will be brought in to finish it
I'm gonna re-watch Laputa Castle in the Sky, I miss when Ghibli movies were adventurous and not meerely melancholic/nostaligic.
people like this can't stop working
Tarantino won't quit either, he'll take a few years and realize that he literally can't stop
Midyazaki
>Hey you. How are you able to live?
That's the japanese title of he film
it's derived form a novel which loosely inspired the film
the shortened variant is "How Do You Live", no idea why they adapted this title as The Boy and the Heron, this shit sounds generic as frick
>loosely inspired
It was a glorified Easter egg-tier appearance.
Post onions
Didnt this dude say something about there being nothing wrong with fricking a 14 year old?
He's been making films about how old he is for the past 10+ years. Wind Rises was about him putting his work before his life. The documentary showed how he thinks he's at the end of his career and the next generation should carry on. If he's not going to retire then he should stop being so woe is me in his stories and embrace being old.
>retires, comes back
>comes back, retires
calling it now
more like
>comes back, dies
Baby movies

it's not an antidote to death, but it could prolong life
it also helps one not to develop nasty shit like dementia
Can't he just make a sequel or soft spinoff to one of his biggest hits? Shinkai already did it. Anno wants to do it with Nausicaa.

Howl was comfy as frick, who cares if the book was better
It was comfy for the first half when it stuck to the original story. Second half was a clusterfrick.
how many frickin watches do I gotta buy for you old man?!??
Kino man.
