If he’d raped her, she wouldn’t have her purity anymore, and he wouldn’t have a problem with killing her. He spared her in the first place because of her overwhelming innocence.
Sound films were less than a decade old when they made Snow White. Scenes like this really make you understand that the acting and action was very much rooted on silent films.
Best case scenario, she sent someone else to find him, but by then all the servants had figured she's gone insane and agree not to follow through her orders.
Then she goes missing, and though there's a period of turmoil as the kingdom is now missing a monarch, things turn for the better once a better ruler steps in.
In the movie, it looks like she starts immediately plotting against Snow White, and she doesn't bother going after the huntsman at all. Perhaps she intended to deal with him after she'd murdered Snow White, but then she herself died before she was able to reach that part of her plans.
In that comic, she discovers the truth off-panel. It's ambiguous whether she targets the huntsman's family before she goes after Snow White. I'd like to think it happens the same way as in the movie, and her hatred of Snow White is so laser-focused that she forgets about getting revenge on the huntsman.
It's possible that this line could be cut from the final version. Maybe. There definitely was a subplot where the prince is captured in early versions and we know this because there's art of it.
If he didn't want to kill her he could have pseudo-raped her instead of letting that ass go.

No, THIS guy.
Seriously, frick this guy.
>hired to kill Snow White
>pulls out his dagger and is about to do it
>once he sees how innocent she is he is overcome with guilt and can't do it
Shit you'll never see in a Disney movie now.
You probably won't see assassinations as a general thing.

Why didn't the bird warn her? Fricking dick
Birds can’t talk, dunderhead.
He could chirp very loudly
Didn't you watch this movie and see how skilled those woodland critters were?
bird didn't sense any murderous intent and knew she'd be okay
She's 14.

Apparently the queen threatened to kill his children.
Did she follow through with that after she found out, or had his whole family skipped town by then?
When your angry enough you tend to forget about details like that, probably just went straight to disfiguring herself permanently(?) for her disguise.
Yeah I guess that did seem like kind of a spur of the moment mid mental breakdown decision.
And whether it was supposed to be or not, it turned out to be permanent in the end, considering she died that way.

>"It's just a movie!"

Because Shrek is a parody of Disney.
