This is a very mean spirited film

Just saw the Barbie movie. It's a very mean spirited film. It's not funny, it doesn't have a message. It's just mean. This is marketed for everyone, but it's only for mean women.

Because the whole point of feminist movies is to piss men off, either by ruining something men enjoy (Ghost Busters), or simply treating male characters like shit.

      You sound like a c**t.

Welcome to America since Hillary voters started blowing out sour grapes and Beta Bobs (like Shia Laqueef) were right there to catch them with their mouths.

What did you think of the America Ferrera speech?

      Anonymous

I was wondering the whole time if she realised that she could solve all of those issues she’s carrying on about if she just, stopped caring about what men think. But then the whole movie would be pointless if it wasn’t all about men.

the merit of a feminist "Barbie" film, dismissing it as mere child's fare. I must retort, my friend, that art, including toys and films, has the power to shape societal norms.

Despite its seeming triviality, a "Barbie" film serves as an important conduit for societal discourse, influencing the young minds that engage with it. Should we not use such avenues to promote values of equality and independent thinking?

Your remark, "It's made for girls", highlights the need to dispel gender stereotypes. Feminism in a "Barbie" film can encourage young women to question, challenge, and redefine societal norms.

Thus, although it may seem frivolous, the feminist elements of a "Barbie" movie carry the potential to incite tangible change in society. I urge you to reconsider your stance on this matter.

for the worse homosexual. The war on everyone's minds is real but the Barbie movie furthers the agenda of deranged Ideologues. Spewing overly flowery language doesn't give you a fricking participation award. Nice wojack Twitter wanker, go back there.

I can't believe we men are so soft and 'ally' now that most of us believe a Barbie movie can be for men. Jesus christ.

Barbie is for making your girl believe she's hot shit for a while. You get to frick her raw after watching that movie.

This movie isn‘t remotely mean spirited. There is one jab at some cringy stuff men do, which was basically accurate to the things I do. But handling a silly joke is too much to handle for Cinemaphile, I guess. In fact the movie is not only not mean-spirited. It‘s very cognizant of the troubles men go through and has an uplifting message. But that would require you to actually watch the movie before having youtube thumbnails tell you your opinion about it
