I like that idea. He (I can't remember his name just this second) can't act though and is probably not only the worst part of this movie, but maybe every movie he has been in.
Oh yeah. It's Joseph Gordon Levitt. 3rd rock from the sun is okay if I remember correctly
It's based off of the Knight Fall and the No Man's Land story lines which were two huge 70+ issue events in the comics. They probably could have expanded this story line to three more movies if Heath Ledger was still alive.
>random cop figures out Bruce Wayne is Batman because he looked at his jaw or some bullshit >Catwoman is wasted >1/3 of the movie takes place in a fricking hole in the ground >entire city's police force goes into the sewers at the same time to find Bane >Gordon kept incriminating speech on Harvey Dent in his pocket >nuclear engineer is able to reprogram a device to become a nuclear bomb
What a shitty fricking script, 5/10 and I'm being generous.
>entire city's police force goes into the sewers at the same time to find Bane
They establish early on that it's a bit of a gung-ho police force that's had nothing to do for 8 years since Batman essentially beat most crime out of the city with the Dent lie. >Gordon kept incriminating speech on Harvey Dent in his pocket
It's on the same night he wanted to make the speech at the party. He gets called down after Catwoman kidnaps the senator from the mansion. >nuclear engineer is able to reprogram a device to become a nuclear bomb
Nuclear physicist, that's not the most far fetched thing I don't see why you would have a problem with that.
these days i come on Cinemaphile and see people arguing that the fricking adam west movies are better than this trilogy. this place is insufferable, but i keep coming here.
Nah, Rises sucks. The bat tech is fricking goofy with the plane, the logistics of the movie like keeping the police trapped in the sewer and just trying to keep the entire god damn city is all fricking ridiculous and nonsensical, more appropriate for a batman cartoon. Many death scenes are incredibly awkward, from the camera passing police alive one second and then panning back to show them in their perfect death pose, or ras al ghul's daughter doing an exaggerated sigh death. The message feels incredibly muddy compared to Dark Knight with the dangers of a surveillance state and how to properly catch the criminals it targets. It's poorly made, Nolan phoned it in hard.
It's trash, they tried to squeeze too many characters into one movie. Like other anons said it should have been about Joker and/or Two-Face. There isn't enough time in the film for Robin, Catwoman, Talia, and Bane in addition to characters from the previous films.
No, it's good. It just isn't phenomenal.

I don't remember joker being in knightfall. Is he?
>I don't remember joker being in knightfall. Is he?
Pretty much all the common villains are, bane uses them to wear down and study batman until he finally confronts him. The whole thing takes place over a month or two.
Joker's particular scheme involved him teaming up with Scarecrow.

It's not as good but it's decent for the sake of memorable moments even if they sometimes fall in the comically bad category. Some things also emotionally landed for me, like bawdwoman's betrayal and her realizing that she fricked up with her assumptions.
What I didn't like was that it felt like Dolan made a lot of concessions where initially he was more ''auteur''.
The title is literally a Lebbit invention - it was posted there as a fan suggestion before the chosen title was revealed.
He also changed the VA of Bane after midwit burger backlash. The original sounded more intimidating and less goofy.
The main poster was also a very lazy photoshop of previous movie assets.
Why can't Nolan into fight choreography?
I don't know. It's not as good as Batman Begins, but it still gets too much hate.
>AHHH NOT THE ELBOWS NOT THE ELBOWS
it actually is
people on here like to feel superior to things so they throw a lot of shit the way of people that actually try
for you
if it's good then why do people make fun of it?
People make fun of you and I think you're probably at least alright.
>his actual name is actually literally Robin

They clearly were gonna use Joker again and Heaths death made them have to go in some moronic direction.
I think he would have been the defence attorney at Scarecrows Court, and then later killed Bane. Then he gets away.

Nah. This movie is one of those ones that shot for Mars and only managed to hit the moon.

I have all of those volumes and will reread them, thanks. I have to go collapse immediately and I hope you folks have a good night/morning
Love, OP

Not as good as the two before it but it still shits all over what came after it. Delusional Snydergays will be ignored.
No it's not. If you think it's good that can only mean that you are of subnormal intelligence.

You are right OP. This movie is good and i'm tired pretend it's not.
>Nothing. I'm paid nothing.
This would have been a cool shot, the sequence in the film is all boring close ups on Bane.
