Tryhard: the movie
Not even joking. Everything from the 'stichpunk' name as if it was some new kind of 'steampunk' despite the fact they look like ass, the plot where the stupid protagonist does stupid things and everyone suffers and yet he's still the hero, the setting which is "generic Hitler forces generic reluctant scientist to do a bad thing", and finally the overly costly voice actors. It all reeks of a need to be noticed.
pretty good, i remember enjoying it when i first saw it, but if it wasn't for this thread i would have completely forgotten about it. i guess it didn't have much of an impact as Coraline, there both kids film with a darker story, but theaters ain't re release 9.
The scene with the robot’s backstory is kino. The visuals are amazing. The actual story is whatever. There’s also a lot of stock character personalities (fundamentalist leader, the big guy, etc.), which is annoying when you have such a small cast.
It looks like shit
Looks great
Plot's shit

They should have been mute like the short.
Very much felt like a short they tried to stretch to a feature length film, who can guess why
Why it isn't praised more often, dough?
I had a crush on 7

Was this the last mainstream American animated movie that got a PG-13 rating?
Bob's Burgers Movie probably.
it's called 9 because that's how many minutes you can watch it before getting bored
