The frick?
Some parts aged poorly but there are a lot of good parts, particularly world building
For starters, we actually got to see more of Tatooine and see exactly the kind of shithole it really was.
yes. Not only is it the worst Star Wars movie ever made, but it's one of the worst movies ever.
You need to watch the Plinkett Review.
as an example of shitty dishonest film criticism
From some fat fricking nerd.
Or learn to think for yourself
I'd sooner eat bantha feces
Just found out Natnat is a israelite.
she’s definitely one of the best looking israelites of our time
and now that she’s hit the wall she looks like a fricking golem like every other israelite hag
Why are anons so rude to the Hershlag?
Why does she look like she shops for deals at Costco?
Born in Israel, even. I wonder why she changed her last name ~~*Herschlag*~~?
>The prequels were good
>Look at me! I'm a contrarian! Do I fit in guys?
why is that what you project?
Hating on the prequels is the most basic b***h nerd take there is.
hence why he’s a greentext projecting homosexual
probably a liberal too
Same
But 2 has the best soundtrack (Across The Stars)
3 just sucked.
4-6 were funny muppet shows.
The new ones don't exist, except for maybe Rogue One, which was acceptable.
>4 and 5
>muppet show
There's barely any aliens in the first two, let alone pupptey ones. Maybe two in the cantina, and dewbacks that don't even move (pre-'97), wampa and tauntauns.
It’s easily the best Star Wars movie made after 1983
I like the part with the big wienerroach droid cranking its arms back and forth for no discernable reason when Watto takes Qui-Gon out in the junkyard.
I like TPM but I don't see how it's better than the other five except maybe ROTJ
I watched the prequel trilogy as a kid, in fact it's one of the first cinematic phenomenons I have memories of, therefore I'm incapable of having an unbiased opinion abut it due to nostalgia. But I liked it too.
It's the best prequel. 6th place overall.
I'll say this - of all the prequel movies, this is the one that bothered me the least. It's also the last movie in the series that feels like Star Wars. AOTC was a mixed bag for me, and I can't stand ROTS.
AotC is my least favorite. It could be 20 minutes shorter if they cut every ship landing. It takes some serious rationalization to make the whole assassination/secret clone army shit to make sense. I guess Palpatine just knows every little thing that needs to happen to make what he wants to happen, happen, so it happens. And Obi-Wan's fricking fake beard and wig in the reshoot sceens, my god. It doesn't even look like him when he says, "this weapon is your life". His fake wig in TPM's reshoot scenes is bad too, but his fake beard in AotC just terrible.
>It takes some serious rationalization to make the whole assassination/secret clone army shit to make sense
That's everything in the prequels. If you think about any of the plot threads for 30 seconds you realize the whole thing is a complete mess. Same goes for the character motivations and such.
I think it's the prettiest and most visually diverse Star Wars movie. You could tell Lucas was having a blast revisiting his universe. It's just a really fun wholesome adventure with a lot of cool concepts and ideas.
Ep 1 was the first star wars I ever watched and its defiantly the best of the series. it has a perfect mix of cgi and practical effects and I like that its more or less focused on one planet. not a galaxy spanning threat.
the games based on ep1 really do seal the deal though there must of been 100s. probably the most moronic thing Disney did was shutting down Lucasarts the main thing that drove kids at the time to get into star wars lmao what were they thinking
>”defiantly”
>If my auto correct hasn’t come up it must be right!
I used to watch this on VHS and only replay the final action sequence. I even used to make super gay star wars fan fic in anime style and one of my aunts stole them all.
seriously, i was going through all the school crap my mom kept and i remember all the cringe fan fic that my aunt has that i can't burn like the rest of my cringe. like it's all out in the ether.
I'm old, and one time I was banging some chick and she laughed at my Star Wars boxers. She told me her nephew once wrote some super gay fanfic that she stole, and probably still has. Next time I came over to bang her, she had dug it out and let me read it. She said I could have them for my collection.
i was ahead of my time what can i say
What I was saying is that I probably banged your aunt, and have your cringe fanfic in a box somewhere.
post it homosexual
Have you never seen a Star Wars collector's house? I can't just remember where shit is and immediately access it. It could take months to find it. Something like that might be buried deep. I don't want someone else seeing it and thinking I wrote/drew it.
Too each their own but if you try to argue the prequels are well-written pieces of cinematic artistry you're moronic.
>The same people who said all the politics and scheming was boring and how George Lucas ruined their childhood over a bit of CGI and a few cringe lines about sand.
>Soifaced the frick out of all the politics and intrigue of GoT.
Yeah its weird
>born in 89
>for some reason parents never got me to watch Star Wars despite it being a big cultural thing
>go through life not really getting all the references
>Ep1 comes out, see in theatre
>talky bits are a little boring but most of it is fricking great
>don't see ep 2 and 3 for years until they are on TV because parents didn't want to see it in the theatre
>enjoy them to a point but not as solid as ep1
>eventually watch OT all the way through as an adult and find it lame
>struggle to make it through 7 and 8, don't bother with 9
>enjoyed Andor but not tried to watch anything else
Been a weird relationship with Star Wars where it has cool stuff in it like Clone Troopers and spaceships, but for the most part I find the movies shit.
Damn. I saw the OT because I was really young and my parents were drinking/partying with all my extended family and I just saw Star Wars and knew how a VCR worked.
I didn't have a choice in liking Episode 1 or not. My best friend and I even got the pc game. It was different for us. It reminds me of being a kid an not having to care about how gay the world is.
The prequels are shit and always will be. Redlettermedia was right about everything.
born too late
