Of all the things to be obsessed with, trying to prove that Calvin and Susie would be incompatible as a couple -- which can never be tested because they will never age -- seems like the weirdest.
But I've always had the theory that Susie has a fantasy life with Mr. Bun similar to Calvin with Hobbes. The adventures she has with her bunny are different, probably more like the medical soap opera Calvin keeps interrupting here. But there's a whole "Susie and Mr. Bun" strip we never see.
Well they wouldn't be. Do you think Susie would ever want to play Calvinball or space explorer, even if Calvin was nice and asked?
When Calvin and Susie are older they will not like the exact same things they liked at this age. Calvin will grow out of Calvinball and probably out of Hobbes, and his attitude to girls will be more like Hobbes' is now (since Hobbes is Calvin's alter ego but older).
Not that it matters what will happen when they're older because, again, they never will be older. But the whole crusade is based on the premise that we never change in any way from what we liked as little kids, which you have to know is not the case.
