She covers herself because she's fire. She's trying not to burn/boil people she comes into close contact with or get extinguished, and in the theater she puts her hoodie up because she's making it too bright.

You're putting more thought into it then the writers did, the fire people are supposed to be catch-all for every race that has ever faced discrimination in the West. But so are the cloud people, and the earth people. Basically, the writers wanted to tell a specific story but didn't think through the implications or keep consistent with their metaphors, thus made their story a complete mess.
The reason we believe the fire people are analogous to Asians is because the VA is Asian, and we live in a time where VAs have to be representive of the character because racism or something.

There's boatloads of crazy talented second gen immigrant asian people in American animation now. Think those straight-A types with tiger moms and strict dads that decided to be artists instead of doctors. Wouldn't be surprised if they had a movie with this theme again in the near future, that or something with a heavy asian influence.

    >tfw always wanted to make a comic that portrays the neverending insanity of an asian family who appear as sympathetic, likable, hardworking and educated immigrants but are also the kind of people who beat and torture their kids everyday, nearly killing them over a B, and the shit they do escalates and gets crazier (because asians will pretend that crap is normal, turn a blind eye, or joke about it to be quirky)
    >now there’s an influx of generational trauma asian media
    >will probably just sound like an edgier rip-off of those complete with child and parents never reconciling

It's actually been well documented that women increasingly won't date conservatives, especially young women.

It's really just because Millenials and Gen Z are skewing and staying more and more liberal, especially women, and unlike men statistically fewer women will consider men who don't share their liberal views.

Tibalism. I suspect a huge part of complaints about lack of dates online are because women won't even consider dating conservatives.

I'm a zoomer myself, this is actually an interesting phenonmenon. In some places it's actually causing a super huge political divide:https://pursuit.unimelb.edu.au/articles/why-south-korea-s-young-men-are-turning-conservative
Also, it's a lie that milennials are staying left-wing: https://www.nytimes.com/2023/06/01/upshot/millennials-polling-politics-republicans.html

            Anonymous

Yeah I saw that article. But if you dive into the data it's more complicated, it's still a group that's way more liberal than earlier groups even with a slight shift (which in my opinion is partly inevitable because what counts as "liberal" keeps changing):

            https://nymag.com/intelligencer/2023/06/millennials-will-not-age-into-voting-like-boomers.html

It does change that the generation is still categorically different than earlier generations were at the same age.

Also this is just anecdotal but I generally think both parties becoming more extremist hurts them with millenials, especially older millenials who are pretty moderate. But there are no moderate options anymore just lots of screaming and radical tribalism from both sides.

That article really shows the true stupidity of South Korea. Instead, everyone should have mandatory service, like Israel, where military service for women is mandatory. If they can't handle the combat roles, as some men (with disabilities, etc.) Cannot either, they should be required to complete some sort of civil service or non-combat supporting role (field nurses or something where you greatly risk getting shot, sure). That's just stupid.

South Korean men are turning conservative probably because their country is run by psychopathic feminists.
