This is the worst movie ever made. In 2007 I watched every single movie that was released that year and it took me 12 attempts to watch the whole movie. I dare you to come up with a worse movie.

He just recognized they were easy licenses to secure to have a recognizable name when pitching to investors covering the cost beyond the grants from the Canadian government he exploited. He's not a gamer or an artist, just a hustler with a gift to pay his way another year.
No, Uwe Boll is just a hack director. A common mistake nerds make is thinking that if you understand source material you'll make faithful adaptations. Faithful adaptations are for people with no vision.
Mortal Kombat and Silent Hill are the only good video game movies because they stayed true to the spirit of the source material ..well maybe with the exception of the Mario Bros movie which I unironically love in spite of it being nothing like the games.
Silent Hill is not true to the spirit of the source material in the slightest. Christoph Gans didn't care about the plot of Silent Hill. He just used it as a vehicle for his own ideas.

I don't get why people call Rampage decent. It has a funny shooting scene and that's it, 80% of the movie is boring as frick and it's like Boll doesn't understand what a handheld camera is normally used for.

Jason Statham is the only one who was actually on set for any appreciable amount of time. The rest just showed up for 1-2 days of shooting.

Uwe Boll's video game films are great, and I hate people who say otherwise. They're hack films that are fun and entertaining. They wear their schlock on their sleeve, and they're proud of it.
I tried to watch this with a buddy for our "haha I bet this movie is lame, let's drink and talk shit about it" evening, but it was so fricking awful and boring that we turned it off halfway through. People like this wienersucker itt who say "they're fun and entertaining" are out of their damn minds.
