It’s boring and forced because it’s written by men who women are an enigma to, and thus have no idea how to make two women who have feelings for each other behave or express themselves in genuine capacities.
These lesbians are usually motivated by their dicks and social progressiveness, but not their hearts. It’s soulless.
Romance is best when written with some aspect of self insertion, and the writer really puts feeling into it, or when it’s simply not a limp performance for dick twitches and trendy social approval.
If you can’t empathize deeply with women but wanna make lesbians, write a hetero relationship and change the guy to a girl. There really isn’t much difference between the nature of passion, just the masculine and feminine roles may be more evenly mixed. So take a feeling you’d think the “guy” would have and swap it with one of the girl’s feelings.
All you have to do is put feeling into it. But you have to be able to see women as people capable of feelings like your own, and not empty stereotypes.

Ivy was more interesting when she was distant and b***hy and not a forced love interest. Bane was fun but they pull him out of the social settings where he was the most interesting. King shark as the IT guy was at least unique but they just drop the whole idea and make him be the muscle, and do the exact same thing to clay face. Gordon's redemption arc was good, i forgot how it ended though. Batgirl felt underused. I dont know, it was all bust and no nut.

It's far from the worst show of all time. The incidental joke writing is actually pretty good.
The problem with Harley Quinn seems to be writers who are inexperienced with serialized stories and lacking a strong editorial. Character traits and personalities and entire events flit in and out of existence based on what the writer is thinking at the time. Beats necessary for the overarching structure fail to fit into the individual narratives and characterizations. Time is wasted on characters the writers like but which serve no purpose and deliver no jokes. It also falls flat on its face any time it even tries to actually satirize or criticize DC comics because the writers have no background with it and are really just jabbing at common misconceptions. Harley is also a totally unlikable and obnoxious protagonist and will never work until someone at DC decides whether she's chaotic neutral girl Deadpool or a female role model antihero that escaped abuse. She can't be both at the same time.
Tl;Dr cancel this and give us a Sy Borgman show.

Is not bad, sometimes is funny but is the type of show as it goes on you begin to wish for somebody to beat the shit out of the main cast. They are a bunch of buttholes with little redeemable qualities, especially Harley. But the comeuppance never comes, because the writers want for some reason to like them.
For the most part, I liked it. Some of the jokes in the first episode are clumsy as frick and they don't always land in the other episodes, but it was more funny than not for me. I do tend to agree with Cinemaphile that it gets weaker in the latter part of season two, though.
