>Most of the EU was shit, people just remember the good stuff
Wrong. Most of it was amazing, people focus on the bad stuff until they realize Disney stole that shit too then they go quiet.
They didn't take it though, still on my hard drive. They can cancel continuation of it but they can't erase what was already made.
Eh, its about 50/50. They kept taking stellar 3 book series and padding them with a frick ton of filler nobody cared about to milk them as 9+ book series. But even the bad 50% is still better than anything Yidsney has put out.
This. I know Disney Wars have largely been a failure but it's annoying that gays now use that failure as an excuse to rewrite history about the EU. It was mostly shit and people just remember the good stuff now.
Lucasarts was incredibly poorly run, George would torpedo entire projects on a whim, there was no oversight on developers (Free Radical was embezzling funds given to make Battlefront 3 to make Haze instead), the company basically folded long before Disney bought Lucasfilm.
This is true but you have to understand that most of this board is 90s kids who were born and raised on the Star Wars multimedia push of the late 90s and early 2000s. Your opinion is not compatible with their mindset, ever.
Based. Making any content post ROTJ outside of the occasional small scale stuff is a meme. Legacy’s existence only further cements this. It’s cancellation leaving the galaxy still fricked is well deserved. If your last hope in the galaxy is either some shitty character that ruins the skywalkers, Rey or Cade, then it absolutely deserves to be obliterated and ruined by an empire.
I think that's part of the reason why KotOR became such a smash hit back in the day. The Star Wars universe for you to explore, but without any Skywalkers&Friends wankery.
The card market fluctuates wildly for the smallest reasons, you can sell a baseball card for 500% of its value if the player has three consecutive good games.
How could post ROTJ-eu content ever be condensed into a trilogy? I feel like it would be really difficult. I think another thing that would be lost is tone. Star Wars had lots of inspiration from pulpy media and serials, which had inspiration from theatre and radio plays, and this is something that is lost in a lot of modern Star Wars content and I’m not sure how to adapt this for a modern day trilogy.
>forcing yourself into a trilogy
Why do they do this? We are seeing now the 'safe' hollywood equation imploding now with 'blockbusters' following that formula bombing left and right.
You couldn't condense the entire thing into one trilogy, you'd have to pick and choose. And with the age of the OT actors when TFA was made, you would have had to have started after the Vong shit.
>no Black folk or ugly women, just attractive whites and aliens
I just don’t know why it all had to be ruined by soulless boards of directors who all happen to be by pure coincidence israelites or women
>why it all had to be ruined
Because story of Luke Skywalker is not only Hero's journey story, it is quintessential father/son story in the movie arts. It had to be torn down by the ideologues, it is unironically target number one of modern times.
Almost every mythic hero suffers hardship in old age.
>King Arthur's Camelot falls into ruin and he dies in battle against his incest bastard >Beowulf dies against the dragon and the Geats quickly go extinct because the Age of Heroes has ended >Paul Atreides becomes the worst mass murderer to ever exist, his prescience can't save his wife from dying, he's blinded, and is eventually murdered as a blaphemer against his own Godhood
Luke Skywalker being sad over seeing his achievements ultimately come to naught is entirely on brand
You're right but Luke fanboys will still cry and pretend there's a conspiracy made by evil feminists to "destroy" the character despite the fact fricking Lucas wanted Luke to be a sad hermit.
The EU was never canon and Lucas wanted Luke to be a hermit who gave up as a Jedi.
Deal with it.
Lucasarts was incredibly poorly run, George would torpedo entire projects on a whim, there was no oversight on developers (Free Radical was embezzling funds given to make Battlefront 3 to make Haze instead), the company basically folded long before Disney bought Lucasfilm.
Holy shit stop obsessing over space flicks made for 12 year olds
Grow up
Which of you posters are israeli and which are democrats who were raised by single mothers?
There wasn't a single good Star Wars game from 2005-2019, that's a full 7 years of LucasArts completely mismanaging the brand before the Disney purchase
Sorry that was a rhetorical question. I already mentioned israelites so I figured people would make the logical jump from my post to yours, but yes you are correct

Keep coping homosexuals. The israelites want to make you infantile.
i accidentally a star wars book in the late 90s or early 00's, i think it was lukes kid, and a girl, and they went on an adventure. luke was some teacher/master at a jedi school.
Legends wasn't very good. A lot of it sucked ass. Some of it was really good. The best case scenario would've been Disney hiring talented people to redo the good parts of Legends. Make Thrawn trilogy line up with canon, take the idea of a foreign invasion and make it not shit, take the kids and not fricking kill them off, make Force like George Lucas intended instead of some Yin Yang shit, end the Empire instead of allowing them to linger on forever undoing the great work of our heroes, get rid of Dark Empire trilogy and what not. Literally had the benefit of hindsight and they chose not to use it. Like you had Jaina be a great female lead if that's what you want. Why in the living frick would you not use her? Or Mara? Or any of the storylines. I'll never understand the peabrains at Disney who managed to frick up such an easy win. The stories were right fricking there. Un-fricking-believable.
You really wanted Disney versions of these stories? Even after seeing what they did over the past eight years?
What, a poster?
The post-ROTJ EU was shit.
Most of the EU was shit, people just remember the good stuff
>Most of the EU was shit, people just remember the good stuff
Wrong. Most of it was amazing, people focus on the bad stuff until they realize Disney stole that shit too then they go quiet.

It was full of moronic shit

People fricking defend this shit
Lucasarts was absolute Kino, and then disney killed it
Lucasarts was incredibly poorly run, George would torpedo entire projects on a whim, there was no oversight on developers (Free Radical was embezzling funds given to make Battlefront 3 to make Haze instead), the company basically folded long before Disney bought Lucasfilm.
I also eat a plate of turds every day btw.
Those turds are called the Star Wars Expanded Universe.
most of the stories were overall shit, but as a collective setting, it has its charm.
I certainly enjoy playing Thrawns Revenge
It was fun and comfy. Frick you
Kyle Katarn is a self-insert mary sue and if you unironically like him you have no business getting asshurt over Rey
>The main character of a fps videogame that you play is a mary sue self-insert

The entire fixation with the Skywalkers post-ROTJ annoyed the frick out of me in the EU, but Cade in particular took the cake.
I think that's part of the reason why KotOR became such a smash hit back in the day. The Star Wars universe for you to explore, but without any Skywalkers&Friends wankery.
The prices of Star Wars CCG cards are at the rock bottom because of Disney so I've been buying them in bulk
>he thinks it will ever climb up
How's your NFTs collection going?
The card market fluctuates wildly for the smallest reasons, you can sell a baseball card for 500% of its value if the player has three consecutive good games.

i hate consooooomers
women too beautiful to ever put on screen and no diversity kangs and muds

Dude you saved so many western civilizations right now, it is time to restart third reich, find non-white allies and attack some white nations.
Ironically enough it's mostly non-whites that enjoy slop like Soi Wars
>muh slop
One more western civilization saved, there will be statues of you everywhere
I'm sorry that you're upset about being called a non-white manchild
>being called a non-white manchild
That is so stunning AND brave. Really resisting le system there.

>Legends
stopped reading there
They didn't take anything from me, Anon. The series ended in 2005 and that should have been sufficient for anybody.
They made the awful books not-canon? Oh no, woe is on me!
>Jaina Solo and Zekk did not end up together
thank god, it looks like shit.
I liked republic commando.
They made their own continuity, at least it's safe.
Clone Wars is the only Clone Wars.
