Kevin Conroy is so fricking terrible, I’m sorry but he his. He literally gas no depth whatsoever, every single line no matter the context is always the same, dry, emotionless delivery. One of the most overrated voice actors, probably the most, of all time. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy Sub-Zero as I have fond memories of watching it as a child, and TAS is the only worthwhile Batman cartoon, but he’s still terrible. No range whatsoever. I hate that scene for two reasons. 1, it's tonally inconsistent and fricking weird to see in le gritty realism capeshit movie. 2, if they're going to have Batman randomly start cracking jokes to the audience directly, then they should have done it when he's flying the nuclear bomb away from Gotham. They should have referenced the 60s Batman movie by having him look into the camera and say "some days you just can't get rid of a bomb".

I don't remember exactly when it happens in the movie, but at one point Catwoman does the "Batman disappears while Gordon isn't looking" gag on Batman and he turns and goes "so that's what that feels like".

Kevin Conroy started phoning it in with Arkham Knight and everything after. I remember when that game came out, besides the complaining of how poorly it ran, the batmobile stuff and how poor the story was, a common complaint was just how mediocre his performance was. He honestly should have retired after that game.
Also, I don't give a shit about the Suicide Squad game, but the people saying it was a bad "send off" are moronic. It was never meant to be a "send off." Kevin nor the crew on the game knew that he was gonna die. You can kill Batman, even in a "definitive" way, but that doesn't mean he can't come back. Super Heroes have come back through ridiculous means countless of times. Knowing DC, it would have most likely been timeline shenanigans.
