I didn't trick people. What we got is solid, the problem is that what we got was only half of a film we no real proper ending because Phil Lord is a shitty boss with crippling perfectionism.

Why would Miguel ever even allow Gwen to go near Miles’s dimension and why would he have no knowledge that Miles went to the dimension from which the spider came from? He knows that the spider that bit Miles wasn’t from his dimension so what gives?
With that one post you put more thought into this movie than the writers did.
Now that I think about it the whole chase scene in the spider society building is stupid since the go home machine is the only way out without a dimension hopping watch that the spider men used so he could’ve just told everyone to guard the machine or something like that. Jesus this movie really is stupid.
No anon we had to do le epic chase scene where Miles some fricking how manages to dodge EVERY SINGLE OTHER SPIDER-MAN IN THE MULTIVERSE because he's JUST THAT SPECIAL and da REEEL Spider-Man
You could still have that key jingling chase if you want, but the objective should’ve been Miles trying to steal one of the other spider man’s watch and him figuring out how to use it. But then again you’d imagine that Miguel would have some kind of protocol in place that manually shuts off a watch in case it gets stolen so honestly they wrote themselves into a corner.

Why would Miguel, who's a control freak, allow a Spider-Man whose only personality trait is that he's a rebel be a part of his inner circle?

Did it really? I don't see even 1/10 of the astroturfing the first one got (which was also a terrible movie), it just fricking died off and everyone agrees it sucks on the rare occasion it gets brought up.
I liked it way less than the first, got bored during the second viewing, and was visually overwhelmed during the first viewing.

I thought it was pretty good. It actually gave Gwen a character and I thought her interactions with Miles were pretty cute.
It was pretty much a set up movie so how good it is can only be gauged once the resolution comes out and we see if the set up paid off or not.
What's her character except "cookie cutter punk chick obsessed with Miles"? The Lego Movie template punk chick was a more standalone character than her
Oh frick this post. It didn't "give her a character", it just showed you a glimpse of the character she's supposed to be that these movies shamelessly ripped away so she could fill the slot of Miles' love interest. Everything that they showed from her story, etc. is from her comics.

We didn't watch the same movie. The first 30 minutes are spent trying to retroactively introduce an infatuation with a character she didn't give two shits about, because... he, too, wears a costume. In a multiverse story. And then she joins an army of spider themed vigilantes. The George stuff is paper thin and exists only when the plot demands it, like the rest of the story. There's nothing to her.
Come on it's not JUST the flashing colours. It also plays into the victim complex and "everyone's special" bullshit that those people want to see

I liked it but Gwen's subplot is very undercooked. I miss the pig,peni and noir from the first as well.
Revamping spot into a demonic monster was good.
It not as tight as the original and has some iffy concepts but it's still good, I don't get what all the sperging is original
