JJ's shitty lens-flare effect, did he actual think this was cool or something?
Inconsistencies with the established lore. >Like how did 'Kelvin' Kirk and Scotty know or even met Archer and his beagle when the last episode of 'Enterprise' took place 100 years before the events of both Kirks?
>How did Admiral Marcus know where the Botany Bay was? In "Space Seed" of the TOS show, Kirk and Spock just happened to stumble across the Botany Bay, drifting in space for hundreds of years. Records of Botany Bay and Khan were "Fragmented or lost" because of WW3 during the 1990s (60s screenwriting at the time). So there shouldn't be any record for Marcus to know about Khan. And since the Kelvin timeline disrupted the fate of Kirk and Spock in missing their chance meeting with Khan's ship, technically he would be floating in space forever....but somehow Marcus just knew where he was and defrosted Khan?...."weird"...
>How is it possible to go from Cadet to Captain in the span of a day? Sure one extraordinary situation would make anyone's record look good, and fast track one's career, but straight to Captain? Has this ever actually happened in Military history (without nepotism)?
whenever I put this on I always say to myself, under my breath, in a kind of off the cuff tossed-off affect, "more like start dreck." If there are other people around they will most likely chuckle to themselves. It is, after all, more of a clever remark than a laugh-out-loud funny one.
Hey man, I just thought I'd say that this is one of the least funny posts I've ever seen in my life and you should probably have a nice day. Sorry bro.
Look man, I know it's not good. I know it's pretty terrible but I like trek and treat this and nutrek as not trek, it was the only way I could keep my sanity.
Destroyed Romulus
Destroyed Vulcan
Killed off Amanda Grayson
Killed off George Kirk
Spock is exiled to an alternate universe where his mother is dead and his homeworld destroyed
bruce greenwood and chris pine actually carried this shit hard
The whole cast are pretty solid, barring Eric Bana and Simon Pegg who both feel like they don't fit in
what are the odds, i just pirated it
For me, it’s 3>1>>>2
i wonder what post #2 was
sneed (probably)
I don't know what they were thinking with to. They had managed to pull off a reboot, why mess with wrath of khan?
THEY DESTROYED ROMULUS FOR LITERALLY NO REASON
>They wrote a story for no reason
Destroying Romulus in the prime timeline was necessary for the story to happen?
yes Black person
>tImElInE
you shouldn't be in charge of anything
The prime timeline was a term literally coined by the creators of this movie?
Hated it, but Its a decent action flick i suppose. Frick abrahms though.
aaaaaaahhh i'm watching it now the opening scene is kino
IM GONNA SAY IT
it's better than those new Star Wars movies
Pros:
Unique "sequel/prequel-reboot" turn
Great re-casting of classic characters
Special effects
Cons:
JJ's shitty lens-flare effect, did he actual think this was cool or something?

Why not?

I don't watch Star Trek but I enjoyed this.
it's not real Star Trek.
You’re not a real human being
>Got around to watching season 4 of lower decks
>its nothing but memberberries
Ar least its consistent I suppose.
>watching lower standards in the first place
