The build up to kills is worth it.
    The kills are very memorable.
The entire second half is fun.

      both halves have their charm
but the best line is only in the extended cut
"if you want to clam a Black person, claim a Black person"
In other words, ladies. If you fancy a man, frick him or you'll get raped.

Correct. But as a whole, the film dosen't hold up. The second half is mostly inane dialog. An experiment in how a gud writer would construct pointless dialog. Any way you slice it, it's still baloney.

Second half is absolute shit because he didn't kill the girls. But again it's a taranticuck flick. The ending was expected.

Her body was insanely hot and she had nice hair and a sexy, melancholy aura. Everything about her oozed sex and Kurt Russel is a lucky man.

You dont understand the second half, it's absolutely mocking the concept of women winning. It's completely goofy to think some roundhouse kicking b***hes could take on a dude like that. They even make goofy 1970s exploitation jump cuts detailing it.
Women are a fricking joke made for sex and abusing, that's the point of the movie.

    1. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

    4. Death Proof
    5. Django Unchained

That's the only scene I think should have been shorter. It's a minor gripe, but it was a bit too long.

no it needed to be longer, with brighter lighting, her feet should have been really sweaty, with long close-ups

Yea I love it. Brad Pitt has an insane career filmography but 2010s he elevated it to a new level
        >Tree of Life
        >12 Years a Slave
        >Moneyball
        >Killing Them Softly
        >Fury
        >Ad Astra
        >OUATIH

        >10/10
        Once Upon a Time
        Pulp Fiction
        >9/10
        Kill Bill
        Reservoir Dogs
        Hateful Eight
        >8/10
        Inglorious Basterds
        Django Unchained
        Jackie Brown
        Death Proof

I'll never understand the love for Hateful Eight and Inglorious Bastards. Both feel like a collection of scenes rather than a coherent engaging film

They're both my favorite films by him. Absolutely wonderful and batshit insane films.

The 2nd half of Inglorious Bastards takes it from a serious film to an absurd mess imo. Tarantino should've either been more serious throughout or fully committed to the "dark comedy" route. Hateful Eight I genuinely fell asleep first time I watched it. Scenes like the conversation in the carriage between Goggins, Jackson and Russell are so painfully long. The twist and ending were fine but nothing special like some thought

Idk what to tell you, anon. They both hit the right spot with their demented sense of humor and long winded dialogue scenes. I absolutely love that shit.

The moment this crazy bastard pulled out that stupidly gigantic pipe I knew I was in for a real treat.

When IB came out when I was 15, I liked the silly action, like Hitler being blown to pieces. But now I prefer the scenes of just talking. The israelite chick is more interesting to me than Brad Pitt. The film peaks with Fassbender thoughever.
Hateful Eight needs more time to grow on me. The "play" feeling makes it seem like Tarantino has less money than he did for RD but the production quality is much higher. The end product feels like QT is just trying too hard.

I could take or leave Inglorious Bastards. But Hateful Eight clicks for me. It kinda feels like a companion film to Django Unchained. Both are distinct, but they share the same ol' western movie flavor.

Agreed. Best actor in the film imo. She's great in Atypical if you're looking for a good TV series. Kind of dramady more than serious drama but it has some outstanding serious moments. I'd compare it to stuff like Love and Entourage in that regard

          >Ad Astra
I still don't get that movie. I suppose the whole thing is a metaphor for emotional turmoil ( In this case, a son's longing for connection to a distant and destructive father). Like Melonchlia was a metaphor for clinical depression.

    >awesome
In what way? To call this "awesome" would feel to me like you're comparing Stuntman Mike to the Inglourious Basterds or Vince and Jules or The Bride. The last ten minutes ruin that idea.
Unless you just mean it's "awesome" to have so much feet and
    >what if Tarantino dialogue but women?
in which case the movie is alright.
For me, the film really flubs the "grindhouse" aspect, where I feel Rodriguez did better.

I saw Bourne ultimatum for free because the tech fricked up the intermission during grind house and we all got vouchers. But then they fixed it and put death proof on about 40 minutes after planet terror

The issue I have with the film is we have the Quentin Tarantino thing where we are kinda dropped in cold and learn about the characters through their exchanges with each other but then everyone dies and we have to start over with a brand new cast of characters and it's back to figuring everything out again.
