This movie was panned back in the day for having too many villains, characters and references and plot points. But modern superhero movies rely way more on characters and references that make this movie look tame

Modern heroes are also in a shared universe where more people makes sense
I don't understand the love for Raimi Spider-man.
Nor the other two.
I can appreciate some of the things they did well (like Raimi's web-swinging camera work), but there just a whole lot that's... less than stellar. Like organic webbing. Or MJ.
SM3 was bad compared to SM2. COmpared to modern Spider-man films its fricking 2001.
>muh gadget gizmo is a different gadget gizmo
How is that related to film making and film qualities? You are not apraising or complaining about the movie at all. Its a completely superfluous complain. They are 100% better movies. If you dont understand the love for a good movie, then you are real life autistic.
Your premade ideas of what the character is or has to be is clouding your judgment of a film being reviewed as a film.
Its like saying TDKR is not a good comic book because in the main universe Superman would never be like that. Its stupid. Its a good comic book inspired by the batman mythos. Simple as.
he got theme of spiderman right and honestly that's what makes spiderman in it's purest form that other story copy this formula. but yeh his character such as peter and mj are widley different from the original
The director didn't want Vemon there and you can tell.
tpbp
Venom is weird, but also the we thing was already done with ock and goblin here
It was an unfortunate victim of executive meddling. Vulture was intended to be included alongside Sandman, but execs demanded for Venom, a character Sam Raimi doesn't like.
I thought it was more he didn't know anything about venom other than he was a evil black spiderman
I thought Vulture was who Raimi wanted for a fourth movie, but the execs demanded a "bigger" villain.
Seconded, never got why people seethe about Spider-Man 3 so much.
I don't understand why people hate this movie. It seemed fine to me as a kid, and it still seems fine to me. It has as enjoyable set pieces as the previous movies.
>le Venom
When has Venom ever be portrayed any differently except for that PS1 game? I genuinely don't see the problem with him except the lack of voice and referring as "I". The stupidest criticism is how symbiote makes Peter do cringy shit. I don't even get this criticism. The symbiote is supposed to make you a wienery piece of shit.
Venom shows up for like 10 minutes and dies. It was insane how hard he jobbed.
You know in the movie venom was kinda skinny looking but in the video game they made him look fricking chubby.
He ate too many brains
He also moves like a troony in the game.
He moves like Xavier lol
The whole fricking scene registers like it's from XRA. When his daughter fell out of the tree I lost my mind, holy shit
my favorite part is that it takes place in a public park where anyone coul theoretically see this shit go down
>for having too many villains, characters and references
The frick are you talking about? The only one of those I've ever heard anyone bring up is too many villains which is valid, it had 3 villains and no focus on any of them.
The 3 of them have more development and focus than main villains in (most) modern movies.
A newer movie being shit doesn't still doesn't make a bad movie good you autistic moron
It was alright
What are some BDs that are better than the 4K UHD?
This movie was garbage back then and it's still garbage, frick zoomers and frick ironic memes
TLW fricking sucks as well
I thought it was fun to watch
What is TLW?
The Lost World?
The last wish
Ok, in that case
is objectively wrong, that movie was fun, even if Twitter Schizos ruined the panic attack scene by being insecure about animation.
>3 disconnected villains taking turns in same movie every 15 minutes
Nah
They at least fit thematically and it never was a problem for me, but fair enough.
It's real funny. The MCU has a worse case of underdeveloped character bloat than SM3 ever could.
I liked it, my friends didn't like it
we saw it in theaters and on the way home they were saying it sucked but I had fun
I just didn't like the way they did venom
