I mean of course it is, the movie is literally told by a Spartan to other Spartans about to go to battle with Persians. It makes perfect sense that they fight like near invincible Supermen and that their enemies seem like an endless horde of evil foreign monsters
It would just make the in-narrative Spartan audience look laughably stupid if they didn't look like the other Spartans in the story. The Spartans listening would know what the king looks like, it wouldn't make sense if the listening Spartans were totally different. They would go, "Wait, we know the king wasn't a ripped Scottish guy wearing leather underwear."
I judge movies on two metrics: >is it good (quality) >is it fun (experience)
It was really fricking fun. If that metric is satisfied, then the quality doesn't matter to me.
I wanna see all of Thucydide's history of the peloponnesian war (and all of ancient history) done in the style of 300 by Zack Snyder.
>I judge movies on two metrics: >>is it good (quality) >>is it fun (experience)
how can a movie being being good but not fun
seems redundant to split good from fun
This was a good movie because it was as complicated a story as Zack Snyder can tell. The theme of the film is a mile wide and an inch deep. It made full use of his talents without blowing them the frick out and becoming a turd, such as every other movie he's made
>This was a good movie because it was as complicated a story as Zack Snyder can tell
I despise you midwits so much, we're closing in on genuine hatred. Make no mistake, this isn't isn't about Snyder. It's about you redditors spouting your moronic shit dressed up as opinions and getting away with it.
Reddit has marvel and DC subreddits where they shill all branded products, fat kid.
Snyder can't do movies where the characters or audience thinks about anything. He's failed multiple times.
Leftoid, anti-White wienersuckers seethe at the movie because they hate the idea of White people existing. So they always want to undermine the legendary example of Europeans uniting in brotherhood to hold back Asiatics that want to conquer them.
It's actually israelite propaganda designed to make you hate Iran. israelites wanted to have a war with Iran in the 00s and this was supposed to gin up support for it. Anyway I salute my Persian bros and pray that you crush Israel in our lifetime
Back when this was still in development, I remember reading that another studio was developing an adaptation of Stephen Pressfield's Gates of Fire, starring George Clooney as Leonidas. THAT would have been kino of the highest order, but naturally, we can't have nice things so that never got made and we instead got stuck with this comic book horseshit.
Words cannot begin to describe how much I hate Hollywood, Bros...
Frick off weeb.
Uwotm8
he is mad because you said tbh.
He's a newbie, 100%. Everybody knows t b h will be changed to tbh because jannitors are moronic
Anime haters are newbies, who would've thought
I loved this when I was kid but in hindsight the portrayal of persians is hilariously mean spirited.
well the movie turns out to be a story told by a guy about to fight them so it kind of makes sense he would fling shit at his enemies
The persians that come to kill, rape and pillage?
lmao

The ending where a huge Greek army prepares for battle has the same aesthetics, so no. Also, Rise of an Empire.

It's not historical, it's based on some dumb comic. It's literally capeshit. IRL they fought against other greeks as well.
Unreliable narrator, moron
Not to mention the way persians are portayed as black and brown when many of them look like the iranian actor in picrel

Suckerpunch is alright, but that's because there is basically zero writing or plot for Zack to shit the bed with.
what about zombie casino robbery movie?
If that was garbage, then Snyder was a fluke and 300 was the fluke.

Since you are such an expert, why don't you go back there, you troglodyte.
You brought it up first jesus christ you're so fat
It's so fricking gross
6'1 at an athletic ~170 pounds.
Cope harder.
Imagine seething this hard because somebody dared to criticize his holiness: Zack Snyder
He's a good action director but don't let him anywhere near the script
Saw it at the kinoplex with my gf when it came out. Then we saw it again the next day. Was aight.
It's racist
Why do they always look like that?

good
Was pretty fun/good movie but haven't seen it in years.
Fun fact that movie was actually hd-dvd released. Which was pretty rare back in the day
Why were all the Greeks in the movie white?
MY ARM
My mom liked the tall bald black dude with all the rings
Your mom is a pervert

unironically true
Iran was the homeland of the world's 4th greatest mass-murderer. Tamerlane, he was called. Killed more people than Hitler. Little known fact.
