This scene didn't stick out to me like a sore thumb.
It was already set up that Ming disapproves of "gyrating" and Mei likes to dance at parties.

I was watching this in the lobby of a doctor's office with a few kids and old people. When this part came up, I visibly recoiled in disgust and an old woman stood up and turned off the screen. The kids weren't really paying attention anyways.
That's the best representation of modern Disney's relationship to it's audience imo.
And then everybody clapped?
Yeah and then the doctor came out and saluted the old woman for her service.
Yes and they all had sex The aristocrats style
And then they made babies and I saw one of the babies and the baby looked at me
OK but people were still watching.
Yeah.
I don't have a strong preference for or against most of Disney. That was just something that happened a month or two ago, that the thread reminded me of.
I avoided most of the stuff about this movie, so I guess "disgust" was too strong of a word, and more like "surprise." Like I thought Cinemaphile was just shitposting about a lot of the plot whenever I'd see bits and pieces of it hear or there.

Which parts didn't you believe lol?
The drawing scene? Awooga?
I came in when like half the movie was over, so I didn't see all of it. I looked a little more into it afterwards, because I legitimately thought the twerking wasn't real. I assumed she just danced or something.
All I knew about it was that it was a coming of age story about an Asian growing up in Canada, and the red panda was an allegory for growing up or something.
>Which parts didn't you believe lol?
Scenes I saw:
>Charging money to see her "panda" in the bathroom.
>The twerking scene
Scenes I saw after the fact:
>The period talk
>"My Panda my choice."
I actually haven't seen the drawing scene so idk. What's in it? I can only assume there's more stuff that looks like Cinemaphile shitposts but is actually real.

How is this not Cinemaphile’s favorite movie.
Well it's one of my faves
Mine too.
year 2023 and all that entails in the anglosphere. work from there.
I was watching this in the lobby of my local city hall with my father and a few young teenagers. When this part came up, I became visibly aroused and a teenage girl stood up and said dis homie eatin beans. My father.

LMAO
Funny enough it is showing in places like Newberry South Carolina...
get your tampons ready to throw at the screen
No, that's when it shows at Houston TX next week
i'd sure love to stick something in her mom though kek
>Teen girl literally turns tricks in a public bathroom for money.
What did they mean by this?
literally now huh
She does tricks (going into her panda form) for money.
do you even know what twerking is supposed to imitate? and why would they know what it is, didn't this take place in 2002?
