Krabs is working with an unfriendly but serviceable casheer and the PERFECT FRY COOK. So of course we don't see him have to bring the hammer down as much. Enough episodes imply he'd turn into an unreasonable butthole if they stopped making money, even if it wasn't his employees fault.
There's enough evidence that if you just do your job like Muscleman and High Five Ghost, Benson is not only reasonable, he seems pretty lax and trusting.
That said, Krabs actually seems capable of dealing with crazy shit like Plankton while Benson is totally helpless most the time shit goes down, so that's a factor.

This is a kind of a situational case. Usually how well both managers deal with crazy shit depends on their employees. Krabs has fricked up quite a few times and was only saved because of Spongebob saving his ass. He might be able to deal with Plankton BUT he usually has no gameplan for people like the flying Dutchman or King Neptune. In Benson's case, he's useless BUT he has Skips who is very capable of dealing with crazy shit on a regular basis PLUS also is well connected with other powerful figures capable of helping with the park's problems. Considering Krabs has fired Spongebob quite a few times while Benson has never fired Skips, I'd say benson is still the safer option. It just goes to show the better you treat your employees, the safer your business will be.
Benson, he’s shown to be very reasonable and willing to help you if you can’t handle something or don’t know what to do. The only problem with benson as a boss is he’s the friendly boss so he’d invite you to hang out and get mad if you blank him. I personally do t mind that but that would probably effect a lot of Cinemaphile. Other than that Benson would only be mad at you if you actively didn’t do you’re job and complained like Mordecai and Rigby.
