This shit came out 2 days ago, and nobody here's talking about it?!
For shame, Cinemaphile, for shame!
I expected more
pretty frickin' hyped about season 2 though

There was a whole thread about it, what are you on about
I love how often this happens
>WTF Cinemaphile WHY AREN'T YOU TALKING ABOUT x?!
>dude we DID talk about x
OH SO YOU MEAN YOU'RE SO FRICKING DISINTERESTED IN CARTOONS THAT 1 THREAD IS ENOUGH?
>It's good, yep. Done.
BAM DONE. Frick you, Cinemaphile. This is why nobody finances good cartoons anymore.
Embarrassing post.
you must be a new gay because people don't come to this board to talk about things they like
Yep this is why the cartoon industry is in the gutter while vidya games are thriving.
>thinks Cinemaphile's direct interaction with media has influence over it's value
homosexual this board loves Primal so much that we don't want to shit up the place with pointless threads that only attract contrarian mouth breathers that scream about one female character dooming the show's direction and other off topic bullshit. If you're so desperate for positive feedback go to fricking reddit and finger your butthole there.
>that scream about one female character doo
Nobody cares at all that she’s a woman you disingenuous homosexual. It’s what the character represents. And it turns out they were right.
>what the character represents
homosexual sapiens interbreeding with and assimilating homosexual neanderthalensis?
There were like 2-3 threads, tho
Who is paying you, and where are you actually from?
The cartoon industry is fricking dead since 2008, I'm going back to video games where the talent and money is at. Vidya has a shit ton of indie artists, meanwhile cartoons barely have Vivziepop.
That's some bad damage control if I had ever seen one.
It is?
Where can I watch it?
there's been a few threads
HBO Max
>A fifth of the video is just [as] jerking the show off
Earned, but frick, we don't need that in a 1 minute trailer
Trailer is otherwise good.
You can only do that much with "Conan but with Dinosaurs" in a trailer.
Stop saying no one is talking about it. You miss every thread and that's your own damn fault.
I usually shit on Cinemaphile for ignoring shows like this but it was actually discussed you just didn't see it
We Watched the Leak 4 days ago. your to slow OP.
homie we have literally had 3-4 threads in the past 36 hours
you must be blind
>vikings
>aztecs
>assyrians
Did I miss anyone? Holy frick there are a lot of human civilizations out there
>not just one civilization but multiple ones
>no more man inna woods kino
I was right all along Mira was a sign of awful things to come. Why would I be hyped about all of my worst fears coming true?
It’s awful.
dumbass, Primal is looking like its tackling the three basic conflicts (probably one per season)
>Man vs Nature
>Man vs Man
>Man vs Society
I am fully prepared for three seasons of pure conflict kino.
>Man vs Society
>Not Man vs Self
>Not Man vs God
No, this does not excite me
>Not Man vs God
Are you blind?
I'm just going by Anon's post.
I know that's Man Vs. God, I just think the idea that season 2 is Man vs Man which leads to Man Vs. Society is stupid.
Man Vs. Society in a show like this would be a waste compared to superior Man Vs. X stories it could tell. And if we go by that anon's idea, we'd be going from Man Vs. God to Man Vs Society, which is a pretty big fricking downgrade in my opinion.
Yeah, I agree that Man vs. Society would really pull back on the show's reigns, and that kind of simplistic progression is certainly possible as
pointed out; season three, should it ever happen, could wind up as some weak commentary on civilization. That said, everything looks good so far, so I am optimistic about the show. If it does go off the rails and ends on a flaccid note I'll be disappointed, but I'll be thankful for the stuff we got.
I'm optimistic too. But then, I also didn't entirely hate the latter half of the last season of Samurai Jack even if it did kind of fizzle out.
I guess I'm just a guy with weird standards and have weird places where I draw the line.
But here's hoping Primal ends on a high note when it does end. Honestly the existence of season 1 is already good enough for me that they'd have to REALLY frick it up noticeably harder than Samurai Jack for it to ruin the experience for me.
the final season of samurai jack only suffered for being THE final seasons. If Genndy got 2 seasons to finish it, it might have been better, but he got 1 so he crammed everything he wanted into it. It wasn't terrible, but not great. Primal Season 1 will forever be pure, unfiltered kino.
That's one thing that I hate seeing. Shows that clearly had more potential but were too constrained and had to rush themselves to any conclusion they can since the ALF gambit doesn't exactly have the best history of working out. Case in point, its namesake.
Complete shill. have a nice day
Maybe the devil is God
Conanlet
Those were celts, anon.
>muh unga bunga
Frick you, this is the closest we're getting to Conan kino that isn't watered down to reach "wider audiences." We already had a witches' coven with actual magic, now it's the primeval gods of humanity with sorcerer kings leading sprawling empires. I'm not sure what kind of homosexual turns their nose up to authentic pulp adventure, but you must be a special kind of tasteless moron.
he lives in fear (as do I) that we will no longer have silent episodes punctuated with animal screams, but rather CONVERSATIONS.
>CONVERSATIONS
In... Lebanese, was it?
Lebanese Arabic to be specific
You really think, given what season one was like, that season two is suddenly going to be some talky drama with action pushed to the periphery? I know modern entertainment can't stop patting itself on the back for "exploring profound ideas" that amount to nothing more than shallow moralizing, but I can at least give Primal the benefit of the doubt.
It happened to Jack, nothing is impossible
Based. I'm not saying the unga bunga wasn't good. And I hope we get more. But I'm excited for what's to come.
Hell yeah. The first season was damn good on it's own, and if it ended there I would easily be satisfied, but Primal is offering the full breadth of pulp fun. The only thing that would remotely disappoint me is if they just ignore the existence of dinosaurs.
>this is the closest we're getting to Conan kino that isn't watered down to reach "wider audiences
I specifically didn’t want this you massive fricking homosexual.
Sucks to suck, guess you should just kys.
>shill
>for something I enjoy
Yes. How does it feel being a b***h?
>Those were celts, anon
SPEAR CHUCKIN'
MONKEY TALKIN'
It might go back to how one anon said how the place fang and spear are on is just a island in a bigger world
I watched one episode of the first season, thought it was sorta cool and decided to come back to it later, never got the urge to do so.
Dont, it’s decent but it’s dead in the water now.
>season 2 starts
>dead in the water
I wonder if the turtle will teach him how to control life energy
He's gonna ride the turtle
> Thursday July 21 midnight adult swim next day HBOMAX
hmm so is this going to be like smiling friends were they drop the whole show at once on TV then put in on hbomax if so would be a kino watch party
>SHHHHHHHHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLZZZZZZZZZZZ
Don't converse with morons
>Spear will aquire a METAL spear
I am more than down but I wonder if he'll still keep ol reliable
>ol reliable
He makes new spears as needed from local materials. You can do that with stone age technology. He might keep the metal spear as a go-to weapon, but if he needs disposable spears for anything, he'll make them. He may also lose the metal spear at some point.
Hopefully the giant turtle isn't just there to job to the megalodon or whatever
Given the track record of anything that isn't the protagonists I fully expect it to be brutally mutilated shortly after establishing it as a gentle giant.
Genndy said that this season is "Super Heavy Metal-ish," so I guess we are going total pulp now. Maybe Spear BECOMES Conan.
Almost all we're missing at this point is for Spear to pick up a sword and yell "By Crom!".
I don't think he's gonna just start talking
Maybe will do one word answers like Caesar in planet of the apes
Can't wait for someone to make a image of Spear saying pogges
I would be ok with Spear becoming Conan. Sounds awesome.
>people complaining about the loveletter to Frank frazzetta turning to pulp fantasy
Are you people moronic?
God damnit Cinemaphile
I was super excited to see a Primal thread for the first time in months
and in every single FRICKING ONE, you morons keep devolving it into pointless feuds and shittiness
still love ya tho
Love you too, gay
It happens
Modern internet has made people jaded and bitter on every site
kinda tired of only having half naked and stupid white male protagonist in animation.
western media really could use with some mens right activists countering the feminist normative
I like cve,man
People don't discuss it on Cinemaphile because it's ACTUALLY good so it's boring for Cinemaphile.
Thankfully they added a woman recently so gay ass Cinemaphile has a reason to be pissed about it.
A bit of a blessing that it doesn't have so much traction because then we'd get the real morons in here shitting up the thread
Is this season gonna do the thing where we are given five episodes this year and then have to wait for the others?
Negative. Weekly cavekino until September, baby!
Do we know how many episodes?
10 again
By rights the second season should have a new name, "Barbaric", changing the name of the show isn't realistic.
Will there be more ooking?
100% not trolling, but does the show get better as it goes along?
I fricking adore Genndy's stuff, but the start of Primal was cringey. The death of the families was so unabashedly edgy I was laughing until I realized it was meant to be taken seriously. I got as far as the fight with the river snakes and dropped it. No consistency in the terrain, the visual continuity or the threadbare characterizations.
Is there a legit good Genndy series in there? Or are we so starved for adult animation in the West we cling to anything?
Sounds like you just got shit taste and don't understand nuance storytelling
The son looks like Charlie Brown getting hit off the pitcher's mound as he gets eaten. That's not tragic. That's hysterical.
As I said, shit taste and doesn't understand nuance storytelling
If you're gonna complain about it, at least understand what you're talking about
>anything about that scene
>nuanced
You got me good, ya frickwaffle. Here's your >you
Good now frick off
Personally I think River of Snakes is the worst episode
Filtered.
>The death of the families was so unabashedly edgy I was laughing until I realized it was meant to be taken seriously.
That's the single most important event which establishes the "primal" atmosphere. Being a human being isn't special in any way. Spear's family get eaten just beause the animals were bigger than them.
I hope Spear actually stays Primal instead of turning into King Conan.
I actually would like to see him evolve to be a stronger fighter using a sword
I'm not watching the trailer, why would I want to spoil this?
Fair, but it doesn't spoil much. The ending of season 1 already revealed Spear would be interacting with civilized humans.
He fricked up Samurai Jack so he'll probably frick this up too. Still, I'll watch.
is the turtle based on a real extinct giant turtle or just a generic giant turtle?
There’s nothing really like this
Sure extra big turtles existed at one point but this is obvious fantasy like the bats and spiders
Archelon was big but it was a sea turtle. Not that big though.
Rape is why
