>le secret juice conspiracy thread...again! HI /misc/!
anyway, i hate how everyone wants to have the next game of thrones but no one wants to work for it. Everyone either forgets of ignores the fact that GoT was not very popular when it came out and it took about 4 years before it started to gain a following.
>primary tenet of Asimov premise of the whole of Foundatin, Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent. >proceed with exact opposite because space! Pew pew lasers! Kill whitey!
But in the books it's also made pretty clear that in the end it doesn't really matter much what most of characters do or don't do. It's really all about the second foundation that is pulling the strings in the dark.
I dont find hardin hideous because of her race, it's that terrible haircut. The terrible acting does not help. >MUH MAGICSL SPACE MARY SUE
that does not help either
To be fair, in the books there wasn't any reason for the characters to be one gender or another.
(Honestly it's nice to have some gender diversity because it helps to distinguish characters more easily).
But still Hardin in this show is a fricking terrible character.
So, I looked up to see if Bel Riose was cast for this season (he was), but also saw the warlord of kalgan was cast also
Looks like our boy is going to be lurking around in the background, probably be revealed as the big bad of s3 in this seasons finale
There are a handful of classics like Foundation trilogy & I,Robot. The detective novels are nice if you like pulp sci-fi but aren’t anything special. End of Eternity is frequently placed in lists and was just ok
The Foundation books are decent until Golan Trevise, and while I didn't really mind him or his superpower of always being intuitively correct, the rest of it wasn't nearly as interesting
also muh robutts
I think the only one she loved was Cleon I and has nothing but contempt for all the others
She snapped Dawn's neck pretty fast, claiming it was for the good of Empire but really I think she just wanted to punish Day for what he made her do to the religious woman
I've already said a million times from the previously threads how much i fricking hate this series, but out of all the appletv series this one was the best (or least shit) out of all of them.
I remember dropping s1 around ep 4 when they introduced more Black folk with big roles but recently picked it up just to catch up with s2.
And excluding all the shit and reasons i hate this series for and mainly talking about the plot, I'm at a point that I'm rooting for the bad guys or the empire to triumph in the end.
The way where the plot is going, introducing more "powerful" women, and oppressed minority groups taking over, I'm unironically just want the white males of the empire to win and just slap in a bad ending.
This is how shit the show has become. I fricking doubt it would even happen. And i mind sound like an ultra racist but there's just something satisfying about the bad guys winning in the end, especially when main leads have big ass thick plot armor and are so fricking moronic making the most cliche, most stupidest character choices ever.
They did the same thing with the man in the castle
God, this show is so dumb. Somehow during my teenage sci-fi fan I skipped Asimov, are the books any good?
No, the final is full garbage, its just Daneel Olivaw baiting, Asimov goes full moron and connects all of his work, like stephen cuck
But in the books it's also made pretty clear that in the end it doesn't really matter much what most of characters do or don't do. It's really all about the second foundation that is pulling the strings in the dark.
>get a godtier book with some crispy themese >disregard the setting, disregard the lore which made it interesting, disregard the characters, make them as flat as possible >shovel in an extreme amount of LGBT and wokeness
Im not even sure whats the target audience here is, its like it was made for nobody in mind
I never gotten into classic Star Trek so I'm not speaking like a Star Trek fanboy, but Picard was really dumb. It was something about robots s allegory for racism and also ripping off Mass Effect. I think the twist in the end was interesting but it couldn't salvage anything.
Season 2 is them going into past (AKA near future LA) and fricking about to stop some dude from solving global warming, but in a fascist way.
Confused and emasculated old white man surrounded by a competet very diverse set of wymyn. The only interesting male character, a blatant Legolas expy, was killed off for the lulz.
Because they read reddit, and reddit keeps mocking Netflix for axing failed shows. So they keep making more of it.
There's also the whole streaming content wars stuff. They have to make something, and they might see that any other ideas they have in the pipeline is even worse than this.
it’s trillion times better than star wars
>0.005 iBux have been deposited to your account
The only ok parts are Lee pace scenes
The images are nice.
I couldn't last 1 episode. And gear wise, I'm an Apple shill.
Maybe it had good ratings on apple tv+
Tax purposes no doubt
The Empire scenes in S1 were actually kino. Just ignore all the scenes of the women. I will probably watch S2 just to see The Empire.
Honestly season 2 might actually be entertaining
No it won’t. It’s going to be pew pew space war.
I mean, yeah, we will get to see Trantor get the living shit blown out of it and billions dead but…
Haven’t we seen that a thousand times already?
Ah yes, just as Asimov wrote.
"Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent."
I want to frick her.
Knew Lee was gay, didn’t think he was a robosexual as well.44kpny
She, Lee Pace, Dusk and Dawn are great.
>fakes it just like a real woman
>her
>le secret juice conspiracy thread...again! HI /misc/!
anyway, i hate how everyone wants to have the next game of thrones but no one wants to work for it. Everyone either forgets of ignores the fact that GoT was not very popular when it came out and it took about 4 years before it started to gain a following.
Foundation has had nearly 75 years. Plus, the public has already seen this in picrel for the last 46.
I really don't know or care, I watched that from the start as it aired. Frick normie opinions and the livestream from the onions bar.
I only watch Lee pace and Mr kino parts
did they time skip the black girl to death? i don't think i can handle any more magical black chosen one plot
No anon, even better, now there’s two! Mother AND daughter.
please no
I’m so sorry.
>primary tenet of Asimov premise of the whole of Foundatin, Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent.
>proceed with exact opposite because space! Pew pew lasers! Kill whitey!
but pretty much everyone is incompetent, so it makes sense
So, space opera no. 1265, same as before?
>12,345 ish AD.
>it’s Rome and it’s fall…IN SPACE!
Thinking that this future is going to be better.
But in the books it's also made pretty clear that in the end it doesn't really matter much what most of characters do or don't do. It's really all about the second foundation that is pulling the strings in the dark.
the emperor plot/scenes are all absolute kino
you hate gail and hardin scenes because racism
i hate gail and hardin scenes because they’re bad
we are not the same
gaal is great. hardin is just meh
I dont find hardin hideous because of her race, it's that terrible haircut. The terrible acting does not help.
>MUH MAGICSL SPACE MARY SUE
that does not help either
Gaal is atbleast cute.
I find Hardin hideous because she's supposed to be a MAN
To be fair, in the books there wasn't any reason for the characters to be one gender or another.
(Honestly it's nice to have some gender diversity because it helps to distinguish characters more easily).
But still Hardin in this show is a fricking terrible character.
QRD on how they frick up the book story?
>fast forward anytime the black jedi women are on screen
>show becomes tolerable
The future is fierce and beautiful!
first season emperors are kino
rest is shit
also
>revealing the last book twist in the first episode
cleons plotline is so interesting it compensates for the others sucking
Lee Pace is a kino actor
Shame that he couldn't be literally anywhere else than this.
S1 was kino to be h
Watch it for the Empire-kino. Skip the Black person-shit
>the empire still exists in the series
The interesting stuff about Foundation was the tiny colony surviving
So, I looked up to see if Bel Riose was cast for this season (he was), but also saw the warlord of kalgan was cast also
Looks like our boy is going to be lurking around in the background, probably be revealed as the big bad of s3 in this seasons finale
>the only art of this dude is in his clown disguise
Oh no no no
They did name drop him in the first episode of season 1, but i wouldn't be surprised if this show gets the axe before they can get to him sadly.
God, this show is so dumb. Somehow during my teenage sci-fi fan I skipped Asimov, are the books any good?
Overly wordy and quite boring unless you're heavily invested in lore details.
You can really see the cracks in Asimov's interest in Foundation's Edge, and Foundation/Earth was completely phoned in, terrible book.
so robowaifu actually hates based cleon doesn't it?
I think the only one she loved was Cleon I and has nothing but contempt for all the others
She snapped Dawn's neck pretty fast, claiming it was for the good of Empire but really I think she just wanted to punish Day for what he made her do to the religious woman

>And i mind sound like an ultra racist
Forced diversishit is racist. Saying "frick that" is not racist at all
They did the same thing with the man in the castle
No, the final is full garbage, its just Daneel Olivaw baiting, Asimov goes full moron and connects all of his work, like stephen cuck
you might consider read some more
>get a godtier book with some crispy themese
>disregard the setting, disregard the lore which made it interesting, disregard the characters, make them as flat as possible
>shovel in an extreme amount of LGBT and wokeness
Im not even sure whats the target audience here is, its like it was made for nobody in mind
They replaced every male character with a woman of colour, except Harry Seldon
sort of like how Ghislaine Maxwell was arrested for trafficking kids to LITERALLY NO ONE
>Isaac Azimov
>except it's Black folk and girl power
every. single. time.
Desperation? Picard needed 3 seasons to not suck completely.
redpill me on Picard
I never gotten into classic Star Trek so I'm not speaking like a Star Trek fanboy, but Picard was really dumb. It was something about robots s allegory for racism and also ripping off Mass Effect. I think the twist in the end was interesting but it couldn't salvage anything.
Season 2 is them going into past (AKA near future LA) and fricking about to stop some dude from solving global warming, but in a fascist way.
The original Star Trek is my favorite. I've seen TNG and know people who swear by it, but for me nothing beats the original.
Confused and emasculated old white man surrounded by a competet very diverse set of wymyn. The only interesting male character, a blatant Legolas expy, was killed off for the lulz.
So, robo lady has sex with basedboy Cleon? God imagine fricking a robot
Because they read reddit, and reddit keeps mocking Netflix for axing failed shows. So they keep making more of it.
There's also the whole streaming content wars stuff. They have to make something, and they might see that any other ideas they have in the pipeline is even worse than this.
Just skip to all the Cleon scenes, skip everything else like whatever the woke actoress is doing
Someone should just make a cut down version of just the Cleon arc
>I HELD HIM. AS A BABY.
>who the frick funds this crap?
Maybe the company whose logo is on the promotional image you posted.
