This character sucks, it’s just the same exact joke that Collin does in the same scene except a white woman is telling it.
She plays off of how women feed off pity, while Colin is just feeding off attention, its a variation on a theme.
But it’s in the exact same frame following Collin almost every time.
I just don’t like it that much. Same with when they make Guillermo looks like a super cool assassin, I think it’s lame.

It's the writing in this season. I think they are going for several more seasons but in reality this should be the last season.

To me it peaked right before they started making Guillermo have this flamboyant demeanor. It used to be like 4x, and then it became 10x, and I was done with it. I only watched two seasons.
Season 2>1>>3>4 but thankfully 5 is looking up so far. Pride Parade is the funniest the show has been in years and might be the second best episode of all behind Jackie Daytona. I love how the lore is constantly expanding instead of beating the same ideas to death, but the overarching narrative is remarkably obnoxious. It's always relying on season finale cliffhangers that turn into nothingburgers.

I wouldn't mind if there wasn't really supposed to be a series-spanning story but they dramatize these turns so heavily that it's a big letdown when they don't go anywhere. This was the first season I went into without any excitement, but at least the individual episodes have been a lot funnier than the last couple seasons.

It took a sharp dive once Jermaine left the writing team and Kristen Schaal started getting more and more screentime.

It's still mostly solid, but I can't help but think the cast has been mostly Flanderized

The only good one that feels like they've grown is Laszlo. He's only gotten better each season and is honestly at this point the main reason I still watch each episode right away
The last episode with Colin Robinson running for comptroller was good. That's the only thing that's really worked for me this season.
I didn't really like season 4, is 5 better so far?
5 is decidedly better than 4, probably better than 3; but not as good as 1 or 2.
