I absolutely hated Reboot when I was kid. It was so fricking ugly. I'm sure that now I'd be able to appreciate it more but I can tell as a kid who watched it back in the day it was fricking ass.
Some guys doing a documentary dug out the masters and are lookign to fund a re-release, but they can’t find the proper machines to play/digitize the tapes (was recorded on a very early hd system)
Hopefully the rights holders allow it. Having raw versions of Reboot would be nice, given the only complete home release was that garbage DVD set which both crunched the quality (the show was higher resolution than the DVD format could allow), and butchered the audio due to scaling the framerate to fit NTSC standard.
Notably, this apoarently includes the two ridefilm shorts, neither of which have ever been uploaded in full good quality, and one if which has never been fully uploaded at all.

Somebody went and used AI to upscale Reboot to 4k. This may be of interest to you:
So was Bob just the world's worst antivirus who couldn't properly quarantine and delete viruses? Never really got the concept of the user who uninstalls a game right after winning it either in that era.
>Never really got the concept of the user who uninstalls a game right after winning it either in that era.
That's purely because you made that up yourself. We even see the user load up games we've seen before.
It was so ugly I always skipped it. I don't doubt it's actually good. The main villain was cool. And I always thought those red/blue robots were cute. Who knows, maybe I'll add it to the depression binge list.
Ugly in what manner? A lot of cartoons of that era was actually ugly in terms of style choice. Reboot had a pretty clean aesthetic going on for the most part, unless the low-poly environments turned you off (which they leaned on a lot in the in-world games).
Absolutely adored Reboot as a kid. I always looked forward to watching it on school nights and I remember in the mid/late 2000's when I was a little older being pumped by rumours there was going to be a movie. Not sure I'd dare re-watch it now and risk ruining my fond childhood memories of it though since it looks like ass by todays standards.
I constantly watched Reboot on YTV as a kid. I somehow lost track of the series after it began the punished-Enzo arc that took place on the... Web? Net? I forget.
Which sucked because the post-apocalyptic dystopia of it all seemed really cool to me.
I watched it after having not seen it for 20 years and it was really charming. The episode called "Painted Windows" is really good if you just want to watch one.
When I rewatched it a couple years ago, the show looked exactly as I remembered it, although the animation is a little stiffer than memory served. The show leaned pretty hard on its visual aesthetic which helps it a lot.
Yeah it did.
Alphanumeric!
god damn right

The very first fully-3d-rendered tv series ever, made when home PCs were barely present looked ugly? Shocker.
This, yeah. I thought it was gay as frick. It's obviously an impressive show in hindsight though.
CyberChase was better
I can't be the only one who thought he was hot, right?
the girl was hot
>Show full of strong independent female characters.
>They're also hot
It's just that easy
Is the time ripe for a reboot?
There was one already
Still better CGI than the shit that gets pumped out of indian VFX farms these days.
It had potential in the first two seasons then totally dropped the ball
>Glitch! B-FG
Uh I thought this was a kids show

wasn't there supposed to be a crowd funded movie that continues the show? the people who like this show sure do really like this show
Hot evil women too.
There was a web-comic that came out years ago that continued from the cliff hanger but it wasn't the same.
The whole show is on youtube.

They found the necessary equipment not long after finding the masters. They're currently doing interviews for the documentary.

me and my wife watched this a few months ago, even she could tell it looked like shit LOL
I apologize then, I was merely trying to help, but you are very rude.
Different anon, I appreciate the link. I'll check it out
and i'll check out those trips if you don't mind
HOLY SHIT
Hi Woolly.
Didn't even watch this dumbass show but I saw enough Hex clips to say I need a chaos mommy...
I thought this guy was so cool
Gigabite?
Megabyte >>>> Gigabyte
Though it was a nice "oh shit" moment.
What do you think happens after the cliffhanger?
A fade to blavk and everyone wakes up in a new environment
I get stuck in a WEG with Dot and Mouse.
Megabyte starts running a local bar where everyone knows your game.
Frick yeah it did. My favorite childhood show.
Canadian NG:E

My favorite episode is the parody of The Prisoner.
I liked the CPUs siding with the viruses to battle the internet monsters

Look don't try to justify that this show "looked good." It's ugly. There's a reason why almost no one watched it.
That's what it looks like.
nah it sucked ass
A butter knife?
For me, it's Mouse

You have no excuse considering you're Canadian.

A little more niche but anyone remember Shadow Raiders? I think it was made by the same studio and was also kino
Princess Tekla was probably the first thing to awaken my sexuality
It sucked ass you mean. It looked like shit even when there was literally nothing better to compare it to.
