I love TGAMM but it really deserved its fate. I haven't seen a show fumble the premise and concepts that made the first season so interesting as badly as this.

Yes, HOI's "season 2" is really just chopped in half and tacked on as an addition to season 1. If you really want to look at how the show was written, pre-breakup is season 1 and post-breakup is season 2. So if I remember the exposition dump in the pilot right, Hailey completing her list gets her grant money that allows her to invent a device that stops climate change. I'm probably missing some steps, but that is the gist of it.
We have no idea what the Chaos Bots are or why they are trying to stop Hailey. The Professor kind of acts evasive when it comes to these things, but the show implied then immediately shot down it was future Hailey behind them. Not exactly written well so far but I'll let them finish out this story (if they ever bother to) before I judge.
As for Kristine, she sort of exists as a frenemy to Hailey. After the break up, she serves to stall Hailey from immediately picking up Scott on the rebound, but otherwise, yeah, her whole existence was basically to be like Jackie, a doomed relationship the writers can feel they le subverted le expectations and made things le realistic.

I was hoping that the ending of season 1 meant we'd have more ghost adventures, but the exact opposite happened; turns out there was only one new ghost in season 2. If Jinx weren't there, the whole ghost world shit would've been totally irrelevant by the latter half of season 2.
This was the 1st clue that entire new writers were brought in for this season specifically despite not watching any of S1 and just being given reference sheets of all the characters from the show they didnt watch
My first clue is how entire foreshadowing plots from S1 being completely omitted sometimes even late into S1 because either an executive said "no" or they assumed no one in their audience was paying attention to certain phrases of dialogue
Libby's previous hatred for Andrea? Gone. It left her body the moment Andrea got her house back but they dont even playfully draw attention to what Libby's life was like before Molly moved to Brighton they just speak like Molly was always there from the start and Libby "imagined" all the bullying she went thru

The stupidest Andrea cameo was the Global Warming Ep since midway thru the Ep its revealed that Molly and Olly (Not Libby) got invited to Andrea's birthday which you would think would be a great conflict since who pollutes more out of every family in Brighton other then Andrea's family
'See originally when I was told that Molly was doing a Climate Awareness Ep I thought it would be like "Beyond Thunder Dot" where Fru Fru is so selfish that she "plays to Dot's sensationalism" where every time Dot says "X will happen" Fru Fru plays it off as a good thing

Never did it become more clear after reading these scripts what these "writers" wanna get paid to do all day. They WILL put ESG in your shows even if it straight causes the plot to stop

Season 1, more specifically S1A is the peak of this show so hin drawing art comfortably around that time makes sense because it makes you optimistic for Ep's and plots that come later
Then "The Don't Gooder" airs and the 5 stages of grief start
Then the Housing 2 Partner starts and that is when you reach "bargaining"
Only to finally reach acceptance come "Davenports on Demand"
People care about Tammy because she is one of the few characters that actually had teeth to them, and I don't mean her cute fang.
She was also, for all intensive care purposes, she is a sports girl and Molly used cheats to beat her twice. Instead of the worthless Turnipbball episode which only existed to SuBvErT YoUr ExPeCtAtAtioNs about Perfektborg, we could've had some sort of revenge plot involving her. Have her team up with Jinx, Tug, or another evil ghost. Quinby wasn't bad and I liked her design too, but if one considers that a lot decisions about this season had to be made with the budget in mind (which is why there were also a gazillion Molly house bottle episodes) then designing a whole new character just to fulfill the role of a pre-existing one except... le good.... for sure comes across as a puzzling decision.
To call Turnipball a "sports ball ep" is a bit disingenuous... they did nothing but random shit on The Unnatural's backgrounds.... they actually did design a new bg for the lockeroom... it was so good they flipped it and used it twice! ...but the whole point of the episode was the game had ridiculous rules. Basically they ripped off the Owl House joke, that was ripping on Harry Potter.
It's like someone WAS told to make a follow up episode to The Unnatural, and threw a hissy fit over it and made it intentionally bad. The music when they introduce the Pefectborg team is a bagpipes version of Tammy's theme even. Just weird decisions that bit them in the ass in the end.

Print runs of these can be very small, so there's definitely a decent chance that a chunk of them are undocumented. Did he ever drae anything for Amphibia? Those designs seem like they'd be right up his alley.
Also, I think Shinda Mane is pretty old, so he simply might not be able to produce new art at a rapid speed these days. For frame of reference, his published works date back to the early 80s, so at the youngest he'd be in his early 60s.

The pitch pilot was perfect. If they could organically combine those 2 plots together this show would have been just as popular as Amphibia and last as long as BCG's because so much potential is just deliberately ignored for the purpose of wasting time on ESG

They touch up on this a little more in "Davenports on Demand" but they never have Andrea really consider "You know...all these small unprofitable businesses next to our store I never really go and visit them."

I wasn't following twitter and whatever other backstage sources, so I have no idea WTF went wrong with Andrea in S2 - she barely had any notable screen presence outside of that period episode, and the "lol Davenport empire went bust literally in 1 second" thing kinda killed her completely.

Even when Andrea deletes the app, the negative stigma has already been revealed. In Davenports in Demise the plot should have been about how because of the actions that took place in that Ep, not only is Andrea's dad the most hated man in all of Brighton, the town is actually smartening up of all the other terrible things Davenports has done for their community
In a desperate attempt to course correct, Maxwell sends Andrea to do PR but not only do her lies not help the company, it also results with her being honest with the consumers not helping the company either so she has to go to her dad and tell him "We're done. Its both our faults but effective immediately literally no one morally or ethically can be seen shopping at Davenports anymore."

I honestly can't believe they didn't add her. It seemed like the possibility of her showing up was one of the only things people were really hoping for. The season has still been really solid so far, but I was really hoping they'd have added her. Though knowing how Moon Girl treats it's side characters odds are she'd have only appeared for one episode and that was it.
Moon Girl generally doesn’t have much in the way of recurring villains aside from a few running gag characters and the beyonder who’s only really an antagonist in his first two appearances. The “major villains” are the ones who last two half hours.
Yes, HOI's "season 2" is really just chopped in half and tacked on as an addition to season 1. If you really want to look at how the show was written, pre-breakup is season 1 and post-breakup is season 2. I feel like we'll most likely see the Scott/Hailey kiss in the final episode and there will be no reason for the show to continue anyway.

So if I remember the exposition dump in the pilot right, Hailey completing her list gets her grant money that allows her to invent a device that stops climate change. I'm probably missing some steps, but that is the gist of it.
We have no idea what the Chaos Bots are or why they are trying to stop Hailey. The Professor kind of acts evasive when it comes to these things, but the show implied then immediately shot down it was future Hailey behind them. Not exactly written well so far but I'll let them finish out this story (if they ever bother to) before I judge.
As for Kristine, she sort of exists as a frenemy to Hailey. After the break up, she serves to stall Hailey from immediately picking up Scott on the rebound, but otherwise, yeah, her whole existence was basically to be like Jackie, a doomed relationship the writers can feel they le subverted le expectations and made things le realistic.
I fully believe its gonna be revealed how AC in this show is gonna be like Gideon was for Gravity Falls. He's gonna learn how decades from now when it reaches Future Hailey's time, AC is gonna tear ass thru the human race and they'll reveal his money was what led to the creation of the Chaos Bots

I was hoping that the ending of season 1 meant we'd have more ghost adventures, but the exact opposite happened; turns out there was only one new ghost in season 2. If Jinx weren't there, the whole ghost world shit would've been totally irrelevant by the latter half of season 2.
This was the 1st clue that entire new writers were brought in for this season specifically despite not watching any of S1 and just being given reference sheets of all the characters from the show they didnt watch
My first clue is how entire foreshadowing plots from S1 being completely omitted sometimes even late into S1 because either an executive said "no" or they assumed no one in their audience was paying attention to certain phrases of dialogue

Instead of the worthless Turnipbball episode which only existed to SuBvErT YoUr ExPeCtAtAtioNs about Perfektborg, we could've had some sort of revenge plot involving her. Have her team up with Jinx, Tug, or another evil ghost. Anything would've been better than the dull as dishwater shit we got where they did a SvTFOE and made it so monsters/ghosts are actually good and should be imported into our planet to replace the goyim cattle
Then when the new toy syndrome began when they introduced Quinby they wanted Quinby and Tammy to be regular parts of the cast since no one wanted plots with Olly
Quinby wasn't bad and I liked her design too, but if one considers that a lot decisions about this season had to be made with the budget in mind (which is why there were also a gazillion Molly house bottle episodes) then designing a whole new character just to fulfill the role of a pre-existing one except... le good.... for sure comes across as a puzzling decision.
To call Turnipball a "sports ball ep" is a bit disingenuous... they did nothing but random shit on The Unnatural's backgrounds.... they actually did design a new bg for the lockeroom... it was so good they flipped it and used it twice! ...but the whole point of the episode was the game had ridiculous rules. Basically they ripped off the Owl House joke, that was ripping on Harry Potter.
It's like someone WAS told to make a follow up episode to The Unnatural, and threw a hissy fit over it and made it intentionally bad. The music when they introduce the Pefectborg team is a bagpipes version of Tammy's theme even. Just weird decisions that bit them in the ass in the end.

It was actually Andrea's entire arc that was the singular problem with this show starting all the way from "The Don't Gooder" leading to the end of "Davenports in Demise"
The episode it was paired with was kinda shit too, it killed any remaining interest people might’ve had in Jinx as a villain since it turned out she was nothing but a simp with Alzheimer’s, and it was basically just a less funny retread of the previous luck episode.
It also doesn't help how "The Lucky Penny" was the last Ep that originally coded Andrea as a psuedo antagonist from the way she makes passive aggressive comments towards people where even when she received free ice cream, Andrea had to tell the Ice Cream driver her allowance is so big it could buy the factory she works for 100 trillion times over

Most of UOTS's western toon stuff these days are as copy-bon, aka paper printed out and stapled together. Print runs of these can be very small, so there's definitely a decent chance that a chunk of them are undocumented. Did he ever drae anything for Amphibia? Those designs seem like they'd be right up his alley.
Also, I think Shinda Mane is pretty old, so he simply might not be able to produce new art at a rapid speed these days. For frame of reference, his published works date back to the early 80s, so at the youngest he'd be in his early 60s.

In Davenports in Demise the plot should have been about how because of the actions that took place in that Ep, not only is Andrea's dad the most hated man in all of Brighton, the town is actually smartening up of all the other terrible things Davenports has done for their community
In a desperate attempt to course correct, Maxwell sends Andrea to do PR but not only do her lies not help the company, it also results with her being honest with the consumers not helping the company either so she has to go to her dad and tell him "We're done. Its both our faults but effective immediately literally no one morally or ethically can be seen shopping at Davenports anymore."

This show was completely unidentifiable once they completely reworked the entire pitch concept and now it felt hollow and meaningless since good animation and nice character designs don't sell a show
