It was FX's follow-up to The Shield, Ryan Murphy had a minor hit with Popular that he parlayed into getting creative control over the show, and basically had free reign to do whatever they wanted.
Probably reappeared on streaming after being MIA for a while. IIRC Netflix dropped it a couple of years back and wasn't around on any other platform.
Probably because the majority of the episodes were monster-of-the-week setups w/ plastic surgery cases, and the times it tries to do something with the characters, it never pays off after 2-3 seasons of build up. These characters are self-destructive and never allowed to be happy.
people lost their minds after 9/11
every show tried to be 24
everything had to be INTENSE with SHAKY CAMERAS and HIGH STAKES
The early seasons of the shield suffer from this a bit
It's where the meme about a nature documentary showing some mundane insect has flaming special effects and metal guitar music in the background kind of started
The number one show in the US was WWF wrestling on Monday nights, competing against fricking NFL football and winning with crazy storylines of kidnapping the CEOs daughter and shit
Middle aged Americans just saw a plane(and maybe some thermite) blow up their biggest skyscrapers in their most iconic city, of course it's totally normal for plastic surgeons to get into crazy shit, and if it isn't it better be, I got some guy telling me it's threat level orange and were gonna explode tomorrow, frick if I wanna watch some boring docs give bimbos boring nose jobs
Damn that's pretty insightful, activated my almonds. If 9/11 created a culture that demanded X-treme media, what did our culture demand to get the globohomosexual slop we see today?
It's fascinating how Americans can find out there country committed or participated in genocide multiple times and basically react with So What, but when one of their buildings falls down they lose their mind forever.

Everything used to be edgier dude. Today's media is more sanitized than ever. Back then controversy just meant better ratings not a gaggle of nolifes on twitter mass spamming your advertising partners
I miss the days where shows actually tried to be offensive and ridiculous as possible.
The show went to shit after the Carver saga and when they went to LA. It became another homosexual ass LA show. When it was in Miami it was actually interesting or atleast different.
Ryan Murphy, the creator of the show - homosexual, branched off to make homosexual ass show called Glee where all of his attention went. That’s when Nip/Tuck, and society, suffered.
Nip tuck was dignified and classy but Glee was so fricking obnoxious and gay
And we’re still living in the war torn woke shithole era that is Glee
>Nip tuck was dignified and classy
I'm going to list Nip/Tuck plots I remember
A woman's husband comes back from Iraq and shoots their dog because she was making it eat her pussy
Sean's girlfriend shits herself in a hot tub
Bradley Cooper fractures a vertebra trying to suck his own dick
Christian gets raped in his ass
Sean's kid get turned out in gay porn by Christian's pornstar ex.
Necrophile fricks his dead sister
etc etc
>Sean's kid get turned out in gay porn by Christian's pornstar ex.
Kino sub plot and his entire story arc was so crazy, it’s those things I liked most about the show
>Nip tuck was dignified and classy
Ah yes, the show where the MC has a literal cuck niglet baby and there's an episode centered around blacked cuck subculture. The very definition of class!

I remember giving zero fricks after The Carver season happened. It was entertaining when it was on but maybe the conclusion or the allure of the show was dead after
It existed in the brief golden age of TV where they wanted to push boundaries and be as weird and offensive as possible. We're not in the "safely gross" era where you can be as wild as you want to be within a very very narrow boundary that wokesters approve of.
I remember the episode where the WMAF couple comes in looking to have the fiance's eye changed to look Asian to try and fool her parents or something. Also the homosexual dying of AIDS who wants to look healthier so he can pozz more people.
I've made two or three attempts to get into this show because Julian McMahon is kino. It's trying so hard to be edgy in that gay 90s basic cable way that it's impossible for me to get into.
All the characters are scumbags and everything they're doing is repulsive over a B-tier 90s soundtrack.
>reddit spacing homosexual.
If you were old enough to have watched it when it aired you wouldn't be crying about the 90s like all zoomers do. Was it a trashy show full of all kinds of nonsense and outlandish shit? Yes. Was it entertaining and engaging? Yes. Did it make me cry when Sean helped that lady kill herself when she had cancer becuse my mother was dying of cancer at the same time? Yes.
was this show recently posted on zoomer.yahoo or something?

It was a pretty decent and weird show. Strange it was forgotten so quickly.

This. By the time it got to the lobster claw episode I was like frick this shit and dropped it.
>forgotten
It’s the fate of all episodic kino

>what did our culture demand
wholesome, comfy, big chungus uwu
OR
stunning, brave, important
That seems right to me. What caused us to demand something so inane?
No one demanded it. Occupy wall Street was infiltrated and subverted and the useful idiots have danced to the tune ever since.
It's fascinating how Americans can find out there country committed or participated in genocide multiple times and basically react with So What, but when one of their buildings falls down they lose their mind forever.
Its the fact it happened at all. They had felt as though they were invincible, only to find out how easy it was for them to get punkd.
> committed or participated in genocide multiple times
lol. Also post flag, gay
bots talking to bots, what a time to be alive
memory-holed kino
I couldn't make it through the first episode with black Little Orphan Annie, does it get less cringe with time?
Don't pay attention to anything that isn't Denny.
Denny Crane
Dumb frick
Everything used to be edgier dude. Today's media is more sanitized than ever. Back then controversy just meant better ratings not a gaggle of nolifes on twitter mass spamming your advertising partners
It was a different time.

I still don't know what to think of the mess that was him turning into a chaser.
Sean's agent kills a rival agent by force feeding him teddy bear stuffing.
>Nip tuck was dignified and classy
Ah yes, the show where the MC has a literal cuck niglet baby and there's an episode centered around blacked cuck subculture. The very definition of class!
like it or not all the richgays are fricking each other's wives while they watch
All My other points stand
I love this scene so fricking much

typo: we're NOW in the safely gross era
>the carver
>the troony
>the carver ended up being the troony
Some insane shit
al i remember is dr doom fricking jean grey who was a troony
I remember the episode where the WMAF couple comes in looking to have the fiance's eye changed to look Asian to try and fool her parents or something. Also the homosexual dying of AIDS who wants to look healthier so he can pozz more people.
>its Sean getting saved from his serial killer gf by another serial killer episode

I can't wait for you moronic pig fricks to be drafted.

That's how everyone feels about you zoomers.
You really should example your life if you're defending a largely forgotten shitty basic cable show from 25 years ago, homosexual.
Also I'm old enough to tell you to get the frick off my lawn and go get a job, you fricking queer.

Holy shit, you're a complete fricking homosexual.
Yeah, if you want to give me a hard time because it hit close to home while my mother was dying, go for it.
I remember that wierd looking michael jackson freak.
He was really unsettling
early days chris pine
>Be Mime
>Do Crime
very based pulp show. in pre-internet days it was my best fap material
Had cole from charmed and sex as far as I remember. Absolute sneaking some tv in when your meant to be asleep kino
This was the first show or movie where I saw a hot regular height chick having an affair with a dwarf, are there any others?
Christian sticks his dick in a troony and makes this face because it is at that moment he knows

tfw you’ve been bamboozled
