This was actually a good flick. Poster make it seem like a wacky comedy.

I liked when that one kid rubbed her boobies. But it was extra special when they were night swimming and doofus was ignoring her, so she swam under the water and I think grabbed his dick. She liked grabbing dicks.

And then he was like, "Stop calling me Shit Pig" and she gets in kissing distance and seductively says, "Shit pig". She wanted to frick him so bad.

Was anyone using "chud" as an insult in 1991? I know its a reference to an 80s horror movie, but my impression was that it only became a thing fairly recently.

C.H.U.D. existed back then but not in the context it's used today. Calling someone a "scrub" had the same effect.

Dude, I noticed a lot of modern slang in the film. Nobody said "cringe" in the 80s.

Overall though, they got most of it right. Especially kids paying .75 cents extra for a "Frick" dog to show their friends. Back then, it was the only entertainment we had.

Back in my poonmasta days, me and my boys all took shots at the same chicks. So I felt that shit when his boy swooped in on his girl. I'm glad she left town.

I had just watched Nick Robinson play the Prince in "Damsel", looking like a skinny twink. I didn't recognize him in this film at all as the local badass/lifeguard.

If you were around for the early '90s, it's a nostalgia trip worth taking.

Then you MIGHT recognize vestiges, but 1998 was very different than 1991 in almost every conceivable fashion. Take the ride at face value, they get a lot of it right despite a couple glaring anachronisms (as have been pointed out ITT) in lingo. Still, I think this movie captures the feel of pre-1995 better than Stanger Things captured the '80s, for example.
