This was actually a really comfy show. It's a damn shame people didn't like it.

OP here, I post the wrong image
soul
It's the opposite of comfy. Loud, obnoxious, nobody had any charisma, the humor couldn't decide if it wanted to be reddit, mid-2010s HBO, or some drunk non-white woman's interpretation of the original anime.
Miscast, misshot, mishandled.
Reddit writers have gone full circle because they continually butcher the source material so badly that it's indistinguishable from a parody
WELCOME TO THE OUCH CHUDS
>It's a damn shame people didn't like it.
How does that matter?
if people liked it enough they'd keep making it. this is pretty simple stuff.
>Yes, you are Black, and you are Male.
Was this an actual line?
yes
Why would you ruin something like Bebop? I always get the feeling writing like this is motivated by deep-seated hate more than anything.
deep-seated hate is the root of every western adaptation in the last decade
>~~*western*~~
Nothing out of israeliteeywood is western
You’re describing all modern adaptations
It is.
Whoever owns the distribution rights for a property they did not actual create typically must pay royalties to the creators of that property
However, if they make their own version, they can potentially replace that original version with their own and pay infinitesimally smaller royalties
That's the only reason things are ever remade or adapted, it's not because the IP is just so strong or whatever, it's because some israelite somewhere wants to pay less money for some property they have leased out
Something like Cowboy Bebop, while being maybe the most massively accessible anime to ever exist is still fairly niche, and that niche is happy to not spend any more money on Bebop because most people have the series and movie readily available and have for decades, meaning whatever israelite-run company that currently owns the North American license to the property is not making anything off of that
But if those israelites made their own version that somehow became popular and the first result for whenever anyone googled Cowboy Bebop, they will have punished that niche group of goys who isn't giving them money by destroying the thing they like
This is the ONLY reason this ever happens, don't ever forget that
Depressing. This is why I always shit up “live action anime adaptation” threads.
you should see the picture of spike on the wall that some calarts shitter drew over
I remember that.
>Why would you ruin something like Bebop?
Because money laundering and anything white men like needs to be reimagined in a terrible, shitty way.
You're not allowed to have any heroes, chud.
I haven't seen a single minute of this have no idea what is it about and I haven't watched any weebtrash in my wife, but che chick makes my dick diamonds
It reminded me a lot of a Doctor Who kind of show. Just cheap and campy.
I'm gonna take a guess and say you liked the new Twisted Metal show too didn't you?
The frick are you on OP, they would of ruined the show completely, especially THE scene
>Someone else actually liked this show
There are DOZENS of us OP, maybe even hundreds. The flashback episode was legitimately kino and something missing from the original.
>The flashback episode was legitimately kino and something missing from the original
I really see the flashback being a big flaw in the narrative of the story, the original Bebop didn't have to spoonfeed what Spike or any of the crew went through but depended on more showing their backstory through the way the characters act or through silent glimpses into Spike's fake eye visions. Spelling out exactly what all the characters went through ruins the mystique of the cast but that's just me.
>The flashback episode was legitimately kino and something missing from the original.
Yeah, the original show really needed to establish that syndicate hitters have moronic names and Spike's real name is "Fearless" because the fricking women and israelites in charge of this bullshit thought viewers would need some kind of explanation for why Vicious is named is Vicious despite their version of character not being all that Vicious thus making their stupid code name thing or whatever completely pointless
I watched it before watching the original and found it mildly enjoyable. It got me to watch the anime so there's something positive.
you're already an irredeemable homosexual for not having watched the anime before
Bebop is Watanabe's second worst show.
Kids on the Slope > Champloo > Macross Plus > Bebop > Terror in Resonance.
(He didn't direct space dandy, Shingo Natsume did).
Champloo is a shameless attempt at recapturing Bebop and it fails at that
I don’t know how one person can be so wrong.
>I don’t know how one person can be so wrong.
well, you're posting here, when you should be on reddit
Kids on the slop is garbage after the 4 episode, when it stops being about music and music is just an innane background in a school romance triangle drama. Too bad because the jazz idea was great. I dont know why they drop that shit so fast.
Champloo is just Bebop but with the bad Black person music, not the good Black person music.
>Champloo is just Bebop but
The main plot is the opposite. Mugen's ex betrayed him. He lets her go and moves on. He survives. Spike's ex didn't betray him. She is killed. He takes on the syndicate, defeats Vicious, and dies.
hating bebop is pure contrarianism
Any still from this show looks like a cosplay photo shoot.
Why make a live action Cowboy Bebop if you are going to make it nothing like Cowboy Bebop?
>Why make a live action Cowboy Bebop if you are going to make it nothing like Cowboy Bebop?
>Why make a live action Death Note if you are going to make it nothing like Note?
>Why make a live action Resident Evil if you are going to make it nothing like Resident Evil?
These are all good questions.
>Why make a live action Death Note if you are going to make it nothing like Note?
The Jap live action was actually pretty good if you can get past the shit-tier cgi
It's funny because both Bebop and Death Note turned characters black and then also added Black person stereotypes to the characters that weren't previously present
>Black Jet is now a deadbeat dad who never sees his kid and doesn't pay child support
>Black L can't control his emotions, chimps out in a restaurant and tries to gun Light down in an alleyway
Black L was the best part of that Death Note car wreck.
That show was only liked by homosexuals.
You are a homosexual.
>me and my friends at anime con! XD
It's pretty funny that Jet being black wound up being the least offensive thing they changed.
It's insane that you're completely right, how did they frick this up so much
The guy they got was good. And they didn't change the character as much as others.
he seemed to genuinely like the character, in any case asian geezer spike and "tough latina" faye were way worse
They gave him a fricking wife and a kid, what the frick are you talking about?
there's a ridiculous and unintentionally comical scene where Black Jet in his future space badass outfit is walking through a completely mundane and modern-ass San Francisco suburb like the fricking Full House opening credits to give his kid a birthday present
Spike is the one they didn't change at all, aside from casting an old man and just making everything that was already there more stupid
I'm fricking talking about him still being relatively the same character. Adding those other buttholes a kid a wife whatever didn't change him that much as a bounty hunter or his interactions with Spike and Faye.
So they could've given him a gay sex scene but if everything else was the same you'd be okay with it, got it
That's a big leap from having a kid and wife and no I wouldn't be cool with that. Jet at least had an ex wife in the show so it's not that much of a stretch for him to have a wife and kid.
He didn't have an ex-wife in the anime, he had a woman that he probably would have married when he was a cop but she ran out on him.
If you don't understand why turning a character into a bad father devalues him, even if he still "acts the same" as he did in the original, where he wasn't a father at all, then you're fricking moronic.
It's the same as if Spike was also the exact same character as the anime, but still played by a 40 year old, which would then devalue the fact that his entire character arc is built for a man in his late 20s who spent most of his youth as essentially a triad or yakuza or mobster and now feels like he's not even really alive because the sum total of his life disappeared when he was betrayed by Julia.
But if he's 40 and that still happened, but it happened, potentially, two decades ago for him, it makes less fricking sense for the character, which makes it bad. Understand?
Cool you hated it with proficiency, good job. I liked it and didn't feel like live action Jet was that bad or as bad as they could have gone like you mentioned full on gay buttsex. It still us not that much of a fricking stretch from the anime since Jet did have a relationship. Jet wasn't some celibate fricking monk or some shit. But I get it your jimmies rustled too much but you probably saw that coming so the question is why did you watch knowing you were going to be this disappointed?
>hurr durr why did you watch
Because I like to have actual knowledge of the things I care to shit on as to not be a disingenuous homosexual
>not that much a stretch
So in your head the love of his life walking out on him is equitable to having been married and having a kid and then walking out on them to become a bounty hunter?
Because those are two very different things that reflect very differently upon the morals and character of a character.
>Jet wasn't some celibate monk
And this is a homosexualy hyperbolic response to an argument no one made.
You are moronic, the way you live your life, you might as well be a troony.
Damn dude the best part of you must've ran down your Mothers thigh and onto the cheap seats of your Fathers car the night you were conceived. There's probably a few states willing to post birth abort you if your Mother asked.
Nice argument homosexual.
What's it like being a reddit-brain who needs to force himself to like things even inside of a show he knows is shit? Are you also one of those Black folk in Star Wars threads saying "Yeah, the new movies sucked, by Kylo Ren was great!" or some other gay shit like that?
Stick to the fricking argument troony, or have a nice day before an actual Black person does it for you on a city bus for being as gross looking as you surely are.
It was all in good fun before but you're clearly mired in shit. I get it, but one day I hope you wake up and decide being an butthole isn't as much fun as it seems. I really didn't like the new star wars but wouldn't actively shit on anyone that does cause that requires too much energy.
Spike was never betrayed by Julia. Did you just watch the Netflix version? Did you never understand the plot of the original?
>Spike was never betrayed by Julia
>"Hey meet me here and we can run away togther"
>Julia doesn't
She didn't kill him like Vicious wanted, but since she also just fled the scene the same as Spike eventually did, she could've still just left with him
Julia was hunted by Vicious because she wouldn't kill Spike. She destroyed Spike's note so nobody could find him and let him fake his death and get away. She did it all for him while she was chased by thugs for three years. That's not betrayal. That's love.
>Spike is the one they didn't change at all, aside from casting an old man and just making everything that was already there more stupid
They ruined his backstory and made him a child killer.
I enjoyed the live action show too. People criticized it too harshly.
Literally the only good part was when John Noble showed up as Vicious's father and acted circles around that homosexual.
I liked it overall but didn't like how they made Vicious a spoiled little b***h. Also Faye hooking up with that chick randomly was fricking stupid and really didn't add shit to the story.
Was the corgi in it a lot? I like corgis. Look at these two!
reddit dog
you're a reddit dog
They ruined the corgi too. The cast abandoned Ein in the middle of nowhere.
I’ll say this much, I thought the live action Faye was pretty sexy. Not that I’d personally cast her for the role but she was cute
They were sent to the liquor store to get a $250 bottle of single malt scotch and came back with a $2 pineapple flavored malt beverage.
How hard is it to do a faithful adaptation? People just want to see scenes recreated with real people, it's all anyone ever envisions with these live action animes but they always mess up.
I do feel bad for Ed girl. She might've caught her break here but suits fricked up. Her biggest role get and it never even happened.
Too many cooks in the kitchen. People thinking they can improve on something that's already great.
Even if you are faithful, so much of this sort of thing depends on the art style used in it's creation. Like the way smoke lingers animated on an otherwise motionless shot throughout Bebop. That's an extremely difficult thing to pull off going from 2D to 3D.
This is one of those shows that makes you say out loud “these writers should strike for more pay”
It takes a 100% certifiable undeniable homosexual to be mad about this sexy b***h being cast
but then she read her lines. dialog was really the worst part of the whole show.
Incels who will never have sex calling attractive women ugly
great point troony
but I'll be jerking off to anime Faye for decades after you're worm food
so really I win
>another zoomer obsessed with a fridgebody feminist
go watch barbie again, homosexual
Pic not related?
I'd put benis in vagene but she does not match Faya at all.
I agree, she is cute but her boobs are nowhere near as nice as Faye’s.
Plus
this anon is sperging about how hot she is but never mentioned how they really toned down her attire from the anime. Like, Faye is a sexy femme fatale. What the frick is this shit.
>Faye is a sexy femme fatale.
She tries to be, but mostly she just embarrasses herself and lands on her face.
LICK LICK LICK SMOOCH LICK LICK LICK SMOOCH LICK LICK LICK SMOOCH LICK LICK LICK SMOOCH LICK LICK LICK SMOOCH GET PREGNANT LICK LICK LICK SMOOCH LICK LICK LICK SMOOCH LICK LICK LICK SMOOCH
implants?
There's something so sensual about her. Really nice body too.
I woulda watched this shit show if she’d been wearing this the whole time
>"welcome to the ouch!"
is a real sentence in this series
She's hot but she's a terrible Faye, she does not sell "Sexy, cutthroat, cunning femme fatale" at all
The writing and costume don't do her any favors but you can at least blame that on other people
>"Sexy, cutthroat, cunning femme fatale"
Faye's not that anyway
shes a jobber who pretends to be a femme fatale
They obviously wasted her but I'd still smash her
This is off-limits to men, she's gay.
I can fix her
for white wieners only
outfit still sucks
No bare tummy in low rise = no watch
>the sheer amount of smug on 2d faye
OK, one, if she wore a padded bra, I'd shrug that off.
Two, she clearly breaks the 4th wall multiple times keep her eyes and head on the camera work. She is very bad at knowing her mark and blocking.
Three, still would, she's hot af.
shed still have the shoulders of a mountain climber
the issue is they said "frick trying to be sexy" on a character who's opportunistic and lazy and whose outfit canonically begins and ends at "man, all these guys act like total morons whenever I wear this halter top" she doesnt wear a a "sexy anime bunny Croupier" uniform in the casino or a sexy version of a cult uniform, shes not an overtly sexual person, shes not the most vain person and she even acknowledges she will eventually age out of her looks a few times in the anime
Me on the right, being lovingly cradled.
you can tell from the opening alone that this was no budget, straight-to-dvd tier bologna
>lets do a shot-for-shot remake of the opening to show the fans we respect the original
>ok, but that's a lot of work, how about we save time by reusing footage we already shot and splicing it in?
>that sort of defeats the purpose of doing a shot-for-short remake, but lets do it anyway
>oh no, now it looks cheap and lazy and awful
>lets use it to market our show
NETFLIX
>Incelio was filtered
The opening song looked stupid, anon. Especially when Cho was running.
>lacks ability to think critically
>someone is passionate about something
>"WOW WHAT AN INCEL"
I bet your mom ties your shoes for you.
People just didn't get it.
Funny Bebop cosplays but I can't take cross-race cosplayers seriously.
Was this from AX this year?
I liked it. I would have watched a second season. Production was good. Music was on point. Jet being black didn't even bother me he was the best actor. I'd have watched a second season. Real shame
I didn't watch it mostly because I didn't want to have any negativity in mind, so I'm still neutral here just so I don't potentially commit more thought crimes - I don't want to go to the ouch
The One Piece live action will be good though.
It fricked up Gren so badly I refuse to watch.
I liked it OP I don't care what all these fricking incels say. It was a fine adaptation. Good, even. Downright astonishing at some points. The only Netflix "original" I have finished since The OA.
As always Netflix cancels everything good that I like.
>It was a fine adaptation. Good, even. Downright astonishing at some points.
it's fine if you enjoyed the show but calling it a good adaptation indicates that you never actually watched the original media
it's an objectively poor adaptation
even setting aside the race-swapping, the writing is shit and they completely butchered characters like Vicious
the visuals are also a contentious issue
I think the show looked bad because it's an anime and was never meant to be adapted like this
a lot of the shots have this cum-glazed negative clarity filter that looks like absolute shit
personally, I'm quite happy that this show was quickly cancelled and forgotten
I'm sure many of the people involved in the creation were real fans but overall it was an insult to the original media
impressive, very nice...
now type "Elliott Gould Marlowe" into google images
The writing was ass.
>can't post the webbum of her breasts because of some gay filter
Lame
its only "not total shit" in relation to how many even shittier CW-tier tv series adaptations exist
similarly to how "good animes" are just "not total shit" compared the brown sea of shounen isekai and moeshit
also
would fridge faye
its just seinfeld in space, and somehow not as good.
>ctrl + f + cum
>0 results
ok is that cum on her hand?
I didn't see it because Jet being black is a non-starter. The Spike actor looks like a huge pud also
>But I loved Black person Jet, he was great!
Good for you homosexual but I'll never know because I'm not watching that shit
I saw this recently and the Spike cast didn't bother me as much
How can anyone be okay with Spike being played by a 65 year old man?
>Spike needed to be in his late twenties.
>Faye needed to be asian.
>Julia needed to be a nordic blue-eyed blonde.
Netflix botched the casting
>faye needed to be asian
shes canonically US american...
shes from Singapore
faye valentine, a true chinese name...
That wasn't even her real name.
faye definitely is her real name
made up name
shes a jane doe from a space shuttle accident
I like the set design and it was pretty cool seeing elements of the cartoon in live action, but otherwise it was pretty terrible.
shittiest changes from the anime
They did her so wrong.
But he was the most embarrassing. Even worse than grandpa Spike.
>moshi moshi
As its own thing, I'd say it was good and entertaining. But it would've been better without the Cowboy Bebop name and IP.
SPIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIKE
SPIKE SPIEGEEEEL
wow it took a long time for this to come up. the pedos must be sleeping
i agree, shoud have made it less bombastic though
op pic looks like a fan film. I don't remember any junkyard surrounded by trees scene in the original show.
