Invincible is kind of stupid as a whole.

"Viltrumites are the strongest there is!"
"Okay, but what about the girl that can literally reshape matter on a whim? Kind of doesn't matter how hard you can punch if you can be turned into steam with a thought."
"Uhhhhhh... that doesn't work on Viltrumites. Viltrumites are made of SPECIAL matter. More special than you. Doesn't work."
"Wait, how does that even work? They still, like, eat regular food and breath regular air. Where does the special matter come from if their bodies are built from normal matter ingredients? Does this mean that viltrumite shit and piss is also special matter? Where-"
"SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP SHIT UP, GOD YOU ARE RUINING THIS FOR ME"

There are degrees of suspension of disbelief, anon. "I have an unusual power that violates thermodynamics" is so widely common that you could be hard pressed to find any fantasy or science fiction story where it DOESN'T happen in some form. Don't worry about it too much, accept the premise for what it is.
There is a big gulf between that and the author accidently invalidating their own story and having to backtrack that in real time and plain view with a 'fix' that makes less sense than leaving it unexplained. Fantasy doesn't have to adhere to reality, but a premise that doesn't even make sense by its own in-universe logic is just crap writing in any genre.

The smart atom thing is a ok concept but the explanation is mediocre. It does feel like some throwaway line because it is one.
This is a super hero setting after all so shit like this is the standard.

        >birds have to have their brains fire synapses which tell their wings to start moving up and down which causes lift which causes flight
        >birds are flying using their minds
        Prove me wrong.

The science of the worldbuilding of a story only needs to fly so far that the audience can suspend their disbelief. Sometimes, it genuinely fails to do so. Other times, some autist that overthinks and picks apart every little detail comes along and can’t accept that the super powers are really more like metaphors than honest hard scientific speculation that is supposed to work in real life science. Please try to assess which is happening here.

Fricking illiterate moron. Matter Manipulator girl is a one off designer hero they couldn't reproduce with an artificial block to prevent her from affecting living beings.

It was a good moment but looking back at it the set up was kinda dumb. Mostly because of the Viltrumite lore being dumb.

what exactly? How he didn't escape between the time he let go of his fist and grabbed his head?

The fight scene itself was good. I'm mostly talking about how the Viltrum Empire is a pretty meh motivation. That and how the a side character would probably solve the Empires main gene pool problem.

He was desperate, to be fair he could have relocated everyone after realising it was Ominiman.

Sounds stupid, but he should've stayed away and played support only. Maybe that way he could've survived

They all should have turned tail and run, but hindsight is 20/20.

One thing that makes no sense is the inconsistent power scaling. How could Nolan get hit by a beam that does this much damage and come out with a nose bleed but then a Viltrumite drops kick him in the back and it breaks his spine???

Something something... Smart Atom Field interaction. There is a explanation but the whole thing is a handwave.

Guardians of the Globe win with preparation, but that's the whole point of first gaining their trust and then attacking them by surprise.
