Aliens and TMNT have been a thing almost forever. This was a fun twist on that. It's fricking HILARIOUS that it turns out the Shredder is a massive weeb.

Been awhile since I watched, what's the lore reason for him larping as a Japanese man for centuries?
>what's the lore reason for him larping as a Japanese man for centuries?
The Utroms landed in feudal Japan around the time of the original Shredder and Ch0rell thought it was the hypest shit ever.
Kino and then they revealed the REAL shredder and everyone used their super powers and failed until the REAL GHOST OF HAMATO YOSHI SWINGS HIS SWORD AND DEFEATS EVIL AND EVERYONE LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER UNTIL THEY GET TRANSPORTED TO THE YEAR 2099 THEN THE SHREDDER GETS TRANSPORTED ALSO AND TURNS INTO VIRUS SHREDDER shredder all of TECHNOLOGY
One of the benefits of making Yoshi and Splinter two separate entities is all the found family stuff they get to do.
With Splinter considering Yoshi his father, conveying the love, affection, and lessons he'd learned to his own sons.
people hate on season 5 but the ghost of Hamato yoshi getting the final blow on Shredder and getting to say goodbye to Splinter was so touching. It's some shonen as frick shit, making Yoshi this grandpa gohan figure makes him seem more legendary.
>Yes because worm clone Shredder isn't any less goofy, dude it's Turtles it's all goofy that's why it's great and you take it serious cause it's fun.
Worm shredder work because it was ninja Satanism and metal as hell. The comic foot were ninja demon worshipers.
It made perfect sense in the context of the series and was a clever workaround to explain how Shredder kept seemingly dying but coming back. TMNT 03 had some problems but I'm sick of people acting like this was one of them just because the original series didn't do it.
This made me so disappointed as a kid. It was like a fricking punchline. >HEY YOU KNOW THAT SUPER COOL AND SCARY VILLAIN? LOL HE'S ACTUALLY A TINY SQUID ALIEN THING
The Utroms just aren't compelling villains. TMNT's history with aliens and interdimensional stuff doesn't make them much cooler or any more interesting.
What's moronic is despite learning her "father" was a genocidal brain alien she still chose to betray Splinter Clan and carry on the legacy of the Foot Clan. At least Hun and Baxter Stockman tried to walk away. But she had been on the edge of leaving for a whole year
It never bugged me and it never will, if anything just shows how much more badass he is, fact he little alien dude doing this shit.
Why?

lore streamlining is almost always a good thing
I hated it when I first saw it but kinda love it now makes more sense the enemy of mutant turtles and a rat would be a alien blob in a samurai suit.
I wonder if people would be more ok if he was a demon instead of an alien, like the Tengu shredder.

He'll be fine.

How would you have done a 4th Shredder?
It's always funny to see 03 guys bend over backwards to praise this shit but then hate on 87 for being too zany.
Me neither. It removed asian representation
