>this was so shit that now we've got people unironically trying to claim that Evil Dead '13 was some kind of underappreciated gem
>this was so shit that now we've got people unironically trying to claim that Evil Dead '13 was some kind of underappreciated gem
I like both. Jokes on you.
It feels weird to say this, but I want to bang the "son". I had a Lee Lemon moment with the actor in One Piece. The mom's pretty hot too, she kind of reminds me of Casey Anthony, which had to be intentional.
same
it's an ftm tho so it makes sense
Sons a tyranny bruh
I want Danny to come over and play video games, and show him how to suck dick.
Evil Dead remake was genuinely great. EDR was just “fine” imo. Really failed on a character level but good aesthetics
The remake was ok. It really lacked the low tech home movies feel to the fake gore and costumes, the characters all sucked complete ass and the finale is a total shitshow compared to the original, zero tension at all.
My girlfriend convinced me to go and see this with her. It was one of the worst films I've ever seen.
There were morons on that train way before this ever came out. Horror has been shit for a very long time, so when something barely non-shit enough to look good compared to the rest of it comes by, there will be many a coper.
Horror can't survive in the current psychology of people post social media. It requires building up a lot of tension and suspending your disbelief heavily, you can't achieve that with an audience that has a collective attention span of 3 seconds and is constantly rolling their eyes saying what THEY would do if their best friend suddenly tried to murder them in a cabin at night.
This is very, very true. well put. back in the day, boomers were so dumb and gullible that they ethos was one where they didn't have many answers to mysteries and there was still esoterism abound. for them these things were put in film for the first time and they were fantastic. Even Hammer horror flicks are awesome.
This plus the fact that we're exposed to behind the scene footage of actors and sets, green screen and CGI exposure which watered down horror for the young generation. Now all they think about is how the actors shot these scenes with tens of cameramen and crews next to them infront of a green screen.
The world seems inherently less frightening now that everyone has a smart phone and is posting on the internet. When I think about the vibe in a movie like the Ring, which is only 20 years old, it feels somehow impossible to imagine that vibe existing now.
I'm not talking about dumb stuff like plot mechanics being ruined by cellphones. I mean reality itself has somehow become less spooky.
It's impossible for anything to be truly dark and eerie when I know there are dipshits posting on twitter.
While this is indeed true, I cannot say it is so entirely for the EDR-make and EDRise. They are wholesome horrors within their own right, compared to the other slop like, Insidious, The Conjuring universe and the Taking Of and Possession Of. Those are all shit compared to ED. Not even the new Exorcist is as good.
Rise was fine but just felt like a generic possession film. Which isn't a bad thing.
Deadstream is the true successor to Evil Dead.
Demon Wind is the true successor to Evil Dead
>Deadstream
thanks for the recommendation
that movie fricking sucks
Ackhtually, Drag Me To Hell I’d considered the last true entry into evil dead
Watched because of this post tonight. It’s pretty good, solid 7, worth watching. Wouldn’t say it’s anywhere close to ED though
>unironically
homosexual speak
2013 version was very well done. could have been better, but for fans and those who appreciatate the classics, it was great. 2023 isn't bad, either. you're just a dumb femme-brained homosexual.
It wasn't like Rise had an epic apocalypse setup but it didn't live up to the scale of its own fricking premise anyway
Pic related, it was "Evil Dead in an apartment building" and actually utilized its own setting
can't find a good link to download Demon Wind. Anyone with a seed?
Would demon mommy be down for some /ss/?
The series ended in army even the tv show didn't get the movies
it was not that bad
what the frick are you on about
the gore was fine it was unnerving
and it was made for cheap.
give them a bigger budget and maybe they could of left the apartment building.
It did fine for what it had.
jay was over way too zealous about this series
that didnt exactly have a super high bar to begin with
she was great
She was hot, and that's good enough.
She was, and I wouldn’t mind sticking my penis into her vegana and ejaculating, if you catch my meaning.
Frick
>Please anon...
>Just... just let me go...
>I can't do this anymore...
i love her so much bros
Bad teeth
I got a squeezer from a methhead who looked just like that. Good times.
Remake was great and I went in wanting to hate it, although I feel the same about this one I doubt it will have the same result.
Was it actually shit? haven't seen it yet
the first remake was good, yeah. It's one of the only movies I'd consider ''scary'' alongside dolls (1987), there's a scene in the attic where a doll moves and it genuinely caught me off guard.
Army of Darkness and Evil Dead 2 are my favourite movies. I'll actually irl fight anyone that doesn't like Bruce Campbell.
Is there a single good horror sequel?
>inb4 Aliens
It's a decent movie, but it's a dogshit Alien movie.
Brides of Dracula
The Evil Dead - 8/10
Evil Dead 2 - 10/10
Army of Darkness - 5/10
Evil Dead 2013 - 7/10
Evil Dead Rise - 6/10
>Army of Darkness - 5/10
Frick you.
I liked rise and the 13 remake. Why do people hate it? Also which of the kids was the troony? I couldn't tell if it was ftm dj or mtf b***hy girl
13 is good. People just b***hed because it was more like the original and less like the quipfest sequels. The glasses guy was a fricking tank btw. Took 2 and a half deadites with him despite being a lanklet who got shot, hit and stabbed a gazillion times.
>zoomer women are so broken that mommies and kids are scary
really makes you think
It was a solid film. It was nice to see the mom and her kids die brutally. That’s pretty brave and epic.
Evil Dead '13 is easily the best piece of ED media. Raimi/Bruce gays can frick off.
I just didn't like how it buffed Deadites. They're not supposed to be nigh invincible like this. So the only way to even kill one (1) anymore is to have a trash compactor or wood chipper around at all times? Writers have no sense of scale or practicality. It just has to be BIGGER AND BADDER AND MORE DANGEROUS. Dumb.
Could just be the deadites from this specific necronomicon are stronger. They did say there were 3
this was metal though
Better location than the actual core of the movie.
I think "you're damned if you do damned if you don't" when it comes to repeating things in sequels, like locations for example.
I liked the change of location. They did a good job making a building in the middle of the city feel isolated
Yeah this movie was fricking terrible. generic slop.
Name a better horror movie that came out recently
