I agree, my love for them is a big part of why I loved Terrifier 2 so much. Slashers are the most kino subgenre.
This is Cinemaphile. The butthole of the internet. Go clutch your pearls elsewhere you stupid fricking homosexual

you realize you're posting on a website famous for having actual gore threads right?

This website hasn't been "the butthole of the internet" since plebbit turned up. Once the phoneposters took off it was barely on life support. As soon as the zoomers turned up it was long dead.
As soon as atheism and trannies became mainstream and everyone here still thought being an atheist was a code word for "smart" and the unironic trap threads started to be made, then the site was no longer contrarian and contrarianism is what this site always was.

He's just upset because horror movies scare him too bad. He probably peed a little seeing your thread.
It's definitely the creepiest Art has been >kills kids >leads woman to demon rape >turns roastie into a living torso in a fate far worse than hacksaw or room-chan
>The second one is easy the worst horror movie ever made in the history of cinema
You don't watch many movies.
>Verification not required.
Literally the only """"""good""""" of the stories is the one with the killing seeds but, I cannot even call that one good, is like "hey, these seeds are killing people, yeah that's it, you were expecting something else?".
Garbage movies that lack the sleazy cheesy charm of old school gore films like Blood Feast or 80's slashers while Art the Clown is a shitty character with a stupid looking design and I'm tired of him being shilled.
He's not iconic, his movies are boring trash and OP is a homosexual!!!FACT!!!
>Have you seen the sequels to Blood Feast? All the sleazy charm of a gas station restroom.
Wasn't talking about the sequels. There's just something endearing about old Horror movies like BF, The Corpse Grinders etc... while I'm sorry.....
Disappointed in you this time, CreepyThinMan. Sometimes you drop based takes.
>Disappointed in you this time, CreepyThinMan. Sometimes you drop based takes.
But these Terrifier films, like the Saw movies, just feel mean spirited whereas old gore films had a goofy charm to them that is missing from Horror movies these days.
Anywho, here's an old article I wrote about a decade ago that explains my feelings towards the Horror genre.....
A lot of the appeal of Terrifier is the goofy charm though.
Skimmed through your article and agree that horror now isn't as good as the 70s-80s, and it'll most likely never be that good again. There's still some newer releases I enjoy.
Honestly it doesn't. That shit is so jarring and out of place because Damien is actually a massively talented effects artist that makes it look too real which makes the kills actually sad instead of funny.
Makes you wince a bit more than a HG Lewis movie might, but I still think the tone of the movies is too silly to make them very sad. Even though it's more "brutal" I don't feel that different watching Art kill people than I do watching Freddy or Jason kill people.
>He is the only true horror icon from the last decade, seriously name other iconic horror villain from last decade because I can't think of one.
I can't think of any over the last 20 years if not the last 30. I think the problem is that people are trying to create the next Horror icon whereas with movies like TCM, Halloween, Phantasm, F13th, ANOES etc.... it was filmmakers just trying to make a Horror movie that would make money and it just happened that they became iconic organically.
But you have movies like Terrifier or Jeepers Creepers where they're trying to push these characters as being iconic but they just aren't interesting from both a design perspective while their movies are generic and unmemorable.
Maybe if I was 20-25 years younger I might feel different but I think that it's also that I appreciate how much harder it was to make movies on film in the old days whereas Terrifier looks like it was shot on an iPhone.
Once I realized that “oh it’s just torture and that’s it” I shut it off. It is nothing like Halloween, TCM or 80s slashers because at least they had narrative to keep you engaged
>It is nothing like Halloween, TCM or 80s slashers because at least they had narrative to keep you engaged
Terrifier 1 maybe, but 2 is very narrative heavy. It's basically a NoES movie with Art the Clown instead.
Why can't we have a single good bread for this silly guy?
There's a banging Friday 13th thread up right now. None of the other slashers have to deal with this autism not even for that awful Scream IV release or Halloween Ends
The Terrifier (not 2016 but 2011 and features in All Hallow's Eve) is one of the best horror movies of all time. It is absolute gore porn kafkaesque kino. The ending is so fricked up it's actually art(pun not intended).
how did art get out of the tv
witchcraft
He got lessons from a certain someone.
I liked it too. Maybe more than Terrifier 1 even.
Terrifier 2 is my favorite Art movie. Hope 3 is good.

you mean someone posted in the thread more than once? Holy Shit Batman!
You were so mad about the thread that you replied to OP twice seething.

quiet shill
I doubt a shill would make a reply accusing themselves of being a shill. Seems pretty moronic.
I love when virgins get mad at movies they're not old enough to watch!
quiet shill
It's definitely the creepiest Art has been
>kills kids

Not to mention the huskier actor is much more threatening than the skinny guy in the new movies.
That is true, the guy being bigger is more threatening, but the new skinny actor at least is very good and entertaining
It is actually kinda funny when you think about it.
No Art and slightly lower budget but All Hollow's Eve 2 isn't too bad either.
>All Hollow's Eve 2 isn't too bad either.

Who is telling the truth?
Me.
Literally the only """"""good""""" of the stories is the one with the killing seeds but, I cannot even call that one good, is like "hey, these seeds are killing people, yeah that's it, you were expecting something else?".
Truth is often subjective.
Let's just say it's not as good as the first but I've seen much, much worse. I would at least call it watchable.
>omw to defeat art the clown
Art the Clown fears Linkara.
we need to send terrifier to the moon. best series in a long time
We need Terrifier in Space and Terrifier Christmas.
I find AHE to be the most disturbing depiction of Art, but I'd still say Terrifier and Terrifier 2 are better movies.
The second one is easy the worst horror movie ever made in the history of cinema though, and I know there's a third one but I cannot find it anywhere.
>The second one is easy the worst horror movie ever made in the history of cinema

I seriously don’t get the appeal
Once I realized that “oh it’s just torture and that’s it” I shut it off. It is nothing like Halloween, TCM or 80s slashers because at least they had narrative to keep you engaged
>80s slashers
brother half of those are cheap trash carry by shock value, lets not act like those were better.

Terrifier 1 maybe, but 2 is very narrative heavy. It's basically a NoES movie with Art the Clown instead.

I enjoyed it.

>awful Scream IV release or Halloween Ends
Assuming you mean Scream VI since you mentioned Halloween Ends. Scream 4 is kino.
The alien part ruined it.
I liked the alien. They should bring him back for a Terrifier movie.
It looked like they made the costume from items from under the kitchen sink. Totally ruined the atmosphere.
Eh the first short also felt pretty damn low budget so it didn't throw me off. I was enjoying the budget vibes, it's kinda charming.
