This wasn't that bad...

A lot of people was saying this movie was crap and shitty.
What annoyed me the most was how fricking stupid was that younger flash.
But I enjoyed some parts of it.

I laughed hard when George Clooney appeared in the end.

    It honestly wasn't bad.
Themes were on point and despite the memes Ezra is a good actor. He was great as older Flash and even though younger Flash was kind of hammy he really sold the kind of sheltered immaturity that the character had.

Keaton was good. Supergirl was good. The DCEU is just so toxic at this point that the movie never had a chance.

I watched it at the cinema and it is the only DC movie I have watched to date. I thought it was fine, people are 'Nickelback'ing it with the bandwagon hatred, it does stink of a paid (likely Disney) smear campaign.
I much preferred it to the Marvel movies I've seen. The Flash was able to achieve the kind of fun and campiness that comic book stories should be, the Marvel movies I've seen try to be something more and then tack on this artificial quirkiness to make up for it.

The main actor was kind of annoying and I don't like the Latino angle they were going. Also the opening scene was awful and had me worried about was I was getting into

You count those ps2 cutscenes as an actual appearance by an actor? This is your brain on consoomerism
You dont get my point, just cause reference past continuity dont mean you are tributing said continuity, Disney Star Wars shat on lore as did The Flash

Solid 6/10. Overall a little too unspectacular, had a terrible Wonder Woman scene, bad after credits and George Clooney scene and Ezra is way too neurotic throughout the first half of the movie.

If anything she retroactively made Cavill-Superman look much stronger than he was already.
She spent one day in the sun and got rekt by Zod a million different times while Cavill-Supes got him on the first try in MoS.

Why didn't Barry tell her that the secret trick was to snap his neck?

        >Why didn't Barry tell her that the secret trick was to snap his neck?
        Kek

And this film kills of MoS Superman as an infant to please those who disliked MoS
The film was finished before Gunn's reboot plans, he has nothing to do with the "course correction", original cut also had Superman killed off as an infant never to return
The producers had an unreasonable hatred towards Cavill and Man of Steel and wanted his Superman and continuity gone, thats also why there never was a Man of Steel 2
The producers behind The Flash are the same people who sabotaged theatrical release of Justice League

Okay but the film literally portrays killing Superman as a devastating event, having his replacement get raped in a time loop.

          >Okay but the film literally portrays killing Superman as a devastating event, having his replacement get raped in a time loop.
The film ends with the Snyder version of Superman erased from continuity and Aquaman among others having no memory of him
Why didn't Superman return in the end then and stayed dead? Why wasn't he in the intro? Greedy producers who clearly can both have the cake and eat it by fooling tools like you laugh behind your back

What you're crying about is not in the movie and the movie is mostly consistent with what came before. I don't really care what comes after I'm used to stories abruptly ending.

If you had analytic thinking and not buying into anything marketed by people you view as authority figures you would get it
The fil is neither for the haters of the Snyderverse, for the fans of the Snyderverse or the fans of The Flash
Its an inconsistent patchwork mess shat out by a couple of suits in a boardroom dissintrested in the source material

yeah, all of the desert scene was filmed on green screen with fake sand in a constructed set.
They were going to film on location in Morocco and then COVID restrictions hit
visually the 3rd act feels like an entirely different movie

This, it feels like it was filmed by five different directors over the course of several years, none of which watched the other's material.

This is why the character worked. I expected them to make her a Mary Sue, that just showed up out of no where and was instantly more powerful than Superman. But they didn't. One of the better writing decisions in the movie.

The final battle scene consists of a completely flat featureless plain, a bunch of the same guy running around randomly in an army uniform with a rifle, and the same CGI tank doing the same advance/shoot/turn in various stages.
And to that they added the space shit assets directly from Man of Steel.
The SFX in this movie are a complete joke.

Add to this the fact that this same battle, with infantry doing random shit and tanks firing up at shielded spaceships, has been going on for close to 24 hours in the same location.
Supergirl flies off, witnesses the start of the battle, shows up later that night as they are trying to re-power older Barry, helps, Barry recovers and they all fly back that way the next afternoon.
I'm not Hindu enough to enjoy this sloppy, amateurish crap (even for capeshit). Objectively worse than Josstice League, and I don't say that lightly.

It's not worse than Justice League because Justice League was a sloppy disjointed mess.

Flash at least had a consistent theme throughout with the "you can't change the past" narrative.

This movie was horrible. Ezra was annoying twice as much. Batman felt and looked horrible. Superman’s cousin was pointless durrrr she’s just here to die. The flash running was so fricking ugly no idea how that made it in. I kept waiting for it to get good but it never did.

It was fricking horrible. I didn't last ten minutes and I tried twice. I also went into it with an open mind despite despising all the previous Snyderslop, mostly because the actors are all talented. They were sadly not given material worth their abilities (with the exception of Gadot, who wouldn't be cast in a high school play in the real world), and the plot was a pointless and meandering mess attempting to masquerade as a complicated study of M-theory, while all the SFX was fricking trash unbecoming of even a video game operating under the false belief it was a vast depiction of kinetic wonder.

I cannot believe that shit like this costs 200 million dollars.
