looked it up for OP, it’s Marvel Two-In-One #68, no idea what the content is that needs this. Synopsis says the Thing and Angel fight a dude in a castle who has Brotherhood of Evil Mutants robots. Never read this issue
Let’s see… >Starts with Thing doing Saturday Night Fever reference joke at a disco >Is immediately followed by a Don Knotts joke and a reference to a jazz trombonist who I had to google and apparently has been dead since 1956 so that was already over twenty years old reference when the comic was originally published >Then there’s a Studio 54 reference >Fantasy Island reference which at least kinda works >A woman dressed up like Scarlet Witch shows up for total of four panels and doesn’t have a single line of dialogue nor does she do anything because she’s just there as a creepy stand-in moll for the bad guy
Also, the villain is Toad of all people who is doing an Arcade ripoff thing for no real reason and he basically gets defeated because his financial backer calls and demands Toad to repay the loaned money back and he gets demoralised and shrivels into a fetal position. Warren then just offers to pay the loan back and turns the castle (which is Dr Doon’s castle from FF#5) into a theme park run by Toad. WTF. The entire story is bad and in general just a weird choice for a reprint but I guess with Angel there’s very little to choose from.
It’s weird and funny in a way, sure. But it’s a terrible story. The villain shows up like couple of pages before the end and then gives up because he can’t pay a loan. Toad literally has no reason to be there. There is no reason why it couldn’t have been just an Arcade story. It’s also completely nonsensical with its ending.
Arcade at the time wasn't popular, and his only US appearance was a reprint of that UK Cap Britain / Spider-Man story. Arcade would be reused by Claremont pretty soon though
That's not important. What's important is that the tumblrfolk are tards. Everyone from that side of the hill is tardy. Never been there myself, I ain't no tumblrtard, but they're a threat to our way of life and we should probably kill them.
Yeah but you're... he's... you're triggered by, he's triggered by - I mean, HE'S triggered and YOU'RE triggered by HIM being triggered by people being triggered, so in this scenario YOU'RE the triggered one because you're triggered by him being triggered by being triggered by the triggered people. So, you know. So there.
you guys notice how we hardly, if ever, saw 'this is old stuff p-pwease don't get upsetti spaghetti over it!' warnings before the 2000s? like, p much thruout human history? no book or show or movie had to preface with that?
>you guys notice how we hardly, if ever, saw 'this is old stuff p-pwease don't get upsetti spaghetti over it!' warnings before the 2000s?
In superhero comics it only started in the very late 2000s and 2010s. Most of the 2000s Marvel was posting fap fodder and ultraviolence
i more so mean that the things society approves of have always changed with time, but when did you ever see a warning on an old piece of media telling the reader not to get spooked because it's old and bad
our sensibilities have always shifted but only now do people need to be prepared and forewarned and given a trauma blankey and a warm glass of milk before they read something from the past
Yes, mocking something is 'getting triggered'. Triggered just means offended. Did you think it still referred to actual PTSD triggers? Or some special emotion only found in other people?
>Mocking something implies you're offended by it
Again, when you're only capable of feeling a small set of emotions, you see them everywhere
That bug is grossing me out? No, it offended me!
That ice cream isn't tasty? No, it's offensive!
It started to rain? I'M OFFENDED!
A person online mocked something I like? I-I'M OFFENDED... So.. They must... ALSO BE OFFENDED! EUREKA I FIGURED IT OUT!
You see not fear. Contempt? Threats? Bad faith? eyes like daggers(maybe change it to when you wear your papier mache heart on your sleeve) I'll get a good one sometime.
Having warnings about content is old stuff, like rating in movies and video games. The news had It too, they just mean "if you watch this, don't complain later".
Is like tags in porn if you think about It.
What Angel story needs this? He’s not in any of the issue where Kitty says the N word
without telling me what the reprint story is about, this means nothing to me.
shit thread, op. do better next time.

>Never read this issue
Then why are you trying to tell me about it?
lemme guess, it references that biological sex exists, or
some similarly unhoy shit
Warren's hanging out at a disco with obvious prostitutes
plus the references are incredibly dated
>plus the references are incredibly dated

>The entire story is bad
Bad? That shit's hilarious. Then again I love weird one-offs like this.

They could had chosen the classic Angel vs Iron Man story instead
>classic
You mean an obscure Tales of Suspense story nobody remembers?
yes, that one. like I said, CLASSIC
Do you need a trigger warning for the trigger warning?
If enough people b***h about it
Absolutely. Grow ass men can’t handle seeing trigger warnings without their own content warning preceding it.
Yes, that’s literally what tumblrtards did
Apparently “trigger” triggers people scared of guns or some shit so they changed it to “content”
Content warnings precede trigger warnings by several years.
That's not important. What's important is that the tumblrfolk are tards. Everyone from that side of the hill is tardy. Never been there myself, I ain't no tumblrtard, but they're a threat to our way of life and we should probably kill them.
Go do that, we'll wait. Poss results.
This shit needs to be outlawed.
All you need to do is cut off the DEI money and shit like this will stop happening.
You also need to unfrick the economy so men actually buy things again, good luck
>DEI
moron
yeah
>Gets triggered by a trigger warning
I get triggered by a dumbass pic reply to a post that gets triggered by a trigger warning. get on my level gay
This is fine. It shows constraint that it's not a weepy paragraph flagellating themselves.
And at least they're publishing it, rather than being disgusting b***hes like they are with the Predator material.
>people getting triggered over a trigger warning
>Mocking something is 'getting triggered'
When you live in fear, you see fear in the eyes of everyone else you meet
you guys notice how we hardly, if ever, saw 'this is old stuff p-pwease don't get upsetti spaghetti over it!' warnings before the 2000s? like, p much thruout human history? no book or show or movie had to preface with that?
also
fricking trips of truth

weep for the world, for it is dying
i more so mean that the things society approves of have always changed with time, but when did you ever see a warning on an old piece of media telling the reader not to get spooked because it's old and bad
our sensibilities have always shifted but only now do people need to be prepared and forewarned and given a trauma blankey and a warm glass of milk before they read something from the past
Back then didn't we just ban it?
Yes, mocking something is 'getting triggered'. Triggered just means offended. Did you think it still referred to actual PTSD triggers? Or some special emotion only found in other people?

Someone is triggered here
You see not fear. Contempt? Threats? Bad faith? eyes like daggers(maybe change it to when you wear your papier mache heart on your sleeve) I'll get a good one sometime.
>It could warn of any trigger but the warning itself...
It’s probably just Beast or someone calling Jean Grey a ‘frail’
Damn, can't believe they reprinted the story where Beast and Angel have gay sex for like 20 pages
they what
Why is this generation such a pack of pussies.
They aren't. That's the wrong takeaway. If anything it's brash, reflected in the greater level of kowtowing from the salespeeps.
Having warnings about content is old stuff, like rating in movies and video games. The news had It too, they just mean "if you watch this, don't complain later".
Is like tags in porn if you think about It.
Probably because of Toad's Scarlet Witch sex-bot.
