His scene was kind of pointless
    >I'm an indentured servant to this immoral ugly fat dirty space hillbilly
    >I honor my debts instead of killing him and setting myself free
    >he for some reason bets me I can't tame Buckbeak, if i win i get free of 12 years of work
    >i tame Buckbeak by being courteous like I saw in Harry potter and get my freedom the proper way
    >Buckbeak then kills the hillbilly as i knew he would

Also, was I meant to whoop and cheer at the hillbilly being killed? Because he didn't really seem that bad? The guy was working off his apparently sizable debt, but he gave him a possible out on a bet, and then he actually honored the bet and cancelled his debt to him. It seemed like the sort of fate you'd give him if he tried to go back on his word or cheat them or something.

        the hillbilly was white.
whites in this movie are either evil or emasculated cucks

Yeah, that shit was dumb & didn't make sense. If he looked & behaved like Watto, then it would be another story & his death would've been a satisfactory one due to how sleazy & amoral he is. But in the film this guy was just your regular old geezer with a what's fair is fair approach to things. So killing him off in a brutal fashion like he was some kind of an aggressive slave master is a masochistic move on the director's part (but he secretly enjoys that methinks).

Snyder introduced Turok as le serious character but once he gains his freedom, Turok suddenly turns into a le quip man in the worst traditions of MCU. But that's our boy Zack, always pushin' the Z to the ACK!

Netflix thumbnails have been absolute shit for so long. It seems like no one is running things over there and they're just letting morons do whatever they want. People still complain that trailers automatically run if you hover on a movie for too long or that shows nag you asking if you're still watching.

    >A noble captive with a royal past. Staz Nair is Tarak in REBEL MOON - PART ONE: A CHILD OF FIRE.
    >Relative newcomer Nair plays Tarak, a noble indentured servant who shares a bond with a flying creature called a bennu. It’s a connection with deep roots in the world Snyder is constructing.
    >“[Bennu] comes from Tarak’s home planet, originally,” Snyder reveals. “They’re kind of like the horses of their world.” There’s more to the story, of course. “You’re going to find out about Tarak’s backstory in Part Two, and you’re going to learn a little bit about the bennu, what role they play, and that he’s familiar with them,” he adds.
    >Nair was also able to put his own personal stamp on the character. “The language I speak in the movie, Samandritan, is an amalgamation of two languages: Russian, which is one of my native tongues, and Portuguese, which is a language I've been learning,” Nair said. “I had this amazing opportunity to use my culture in something that began as completely fictitious.”
And apparently the reason he didn't broke free before is because he is le noble and honor his commitments.

literally not true, are you moronic?
he really thought the super violent space nazi regime would take "sry, we don't have any surplus to spare" as an answer?
he should have just told him they have some surplus to spare and they will sell it to them and use the new equipment to make even more surplus in the future.
would have saved all their lives

            >he should have just told him they have some surplus to spare

He couldn't do that because they didn't have the surplus on hand that they should have because s.imp guy sold it to the rebels. The mayor was stuck between a rock and a hard place. The amount of grain they were missing wouldn't add up if the Imperials looked too hard.

He told them they had surplus CAPACITY to make grain. Not actual grain on hand. Which is why the Imperials told them to have it grown by the time they got back in ten weeks.

He was probably a dead man walking either way because their bins were empty. Because sim.p guy sold it to the rebels.

                >Do you have a lot of grain on hand/?
                >No

Protip you fricking zoomer. If you are going to lie stick to it and take it to the grave. Don't get all wishy washy with your story and never admit to lying. If you lie roll with it till the wheels fall off.

The mayor figured his best chance was to tell them they didn't have much capacity. Which would account for their not being much grain on hand. But NNOOO greedy moronic s.imp guy had to see dollar signs at the mention of triple price offer and told them they had excess capacity.

The real bad guys aren't even white. The white king was slain by mutts he invited to his military and close personal circle.

The theme the movie is going for, and this will become more apparent in the director's cut, is that expansionism and multiculturalism is a mixed bag because it dilutes the culture and identity of people, creating resentment and strife. The old king was slain by people from off-world that he tried to assimilate and befriend, Kora finds peace in a monocultural village where life is simple and its people have a strong connection to its land, several of the characters are people that lost their home and culture and are aimless.
