No, it tries to be more dark and more dramatic, and it sucks.
The psychotic break should have been the end of the show and even then it may have gone on a bit too long. I adore this fricking show and do still enjoy even the later episodes but they jumped 50 sharks to get to the last 2 seasons.
Yeah both great and it's all the show needed. EVERYTHING past the point House gets put into the looney bin is fanfic-tier.
The fricking S7 finale were they completely give up and just have House actually try to fricking murder Cuddy and her 3 year old daughter....like...the frick? Oh and then slap one more season on, cuz why not lol?

I accept that he was out of his mind and wasn't considering long-term consequences (murdering multiple people including a toddler) but it just felt OOC for him and by that point I was just over the antics. House forgetting Chase had a strawberry allergy still felt within the realm of reality for the show and the character. Especially since forgetting things was an entire arc in that season.

It was clearly shown that his "friend" could remember things for him perfectly.
i think post-rehab House would have been fine but they had Cuddy freak out over him relapsing a single time so he completely regressed back to the old House and none of his character development remained. it's one reason the last season was so weak, it's just a shitter version of the first 5 seasons with a worse team and a worse version of Cuddy.
i liked that because it felt like the reality of addicts

This is only really true of season 8. Even then, season 8's problem is moreso that Park and Adams were never going to be fully developed and only serve to remind you that the show is missing two of its most important characters.

What bugs me about the ending is, after Wilson dies, won't house go back to being miserable? I'm sure the ending is supposed to show that people can change and house is giving up what makes him happy to be with his only friend who is dying. I wish we got a better epiloge than riding off into the country.
House was clearly gunna blow his brains out of his skull with a shotgun the frame Wilson succumbed to the cancer. That was why they both rode off and why House faked his death so there was no take-backsies.
NOW, I would not have minded a final scene with a bearded House in Egypt solving rando medical problems under some other name. Just cuz it would be so silly. But either way there's no decent way to end the show at that point. It went on for too long.
he would last about 15 minutes in China until he wound up in a gulag for mouthing off to the wrong government official. he'd need some kind of powerful state sponsor to keep him out of trouble. especially considering the whole fugitive that faked his death thing.

He just found himself to be actually a Cuddy and not a House.
He's better as an Administrator since he wanna be a boss so much.
Because unless you can only keep actors for as long as they've signed a contract for; when it was first being made, that was probably for a few seasons (if it didn't get cancelled). Three seasons of American prime-time network TV is a big time investment, so it stands to reason they'd take a break. Hugh Laurie only stuck around because Fox gave him infinity billion dollars an episode.
that might have also just been a cultural thing. a lot of celebrities were getting into kabbalah, it was like the armstrong bracelet thing for rich people
I remember one episode where is this young man that has a relative in the hospital and he is really knowledgeable about medicine. They ask him "why don't you study to become a doctor? You have the talent for it." and he responds with "none of you wear wedding rings and you all look miserable".
>House drops two thick folders on the table in his office >"Alright team, what would cause a 21 y/o marathon runner and an otherwise healthy 27 y/o pregnant woman to have massive strokes and Bell's palsy?" >"First test: hold a magnet to each patient's shoulder"
It's been awhile since I watched but I thought they were a teaching hospital, meaning tuitionbux, plus I remember part of Cuddy's job was getting large gifts from donors.
I remember an episode where they casually mention a donor pumping a hundred million into the hospital. It's stated as a big deal, but nowhere near as big as I would have thought. Do Yank hospitals just get that kinda money thrown at them on an individual basis?
We have some hospitals that are affiliated with religions so that draws in donations. A lot of rich people and businesses donate to hospitals too. It's a way to buy good PR. In BrBa Gus is a major donor to the hospital. I'm sure most hospitals are also set up as charities or non-profits, meaning donations are tax deductible.

yes, think of today alone all the free money from autistic kids being fooled into troonyism
also, the clinic was a free clinic, thats where all the none-insurance none-private room having plot device characters exist
It's never gonna happen, house conned his way into living a cozy little life raising a talking mouse with his new family. it's crazy but it's actually real.
Actually very blackpilled
They had an episode where they bet Chase that if he acted like an american loser in a speed dating competition he'd still walk away with the most numbers and he does. Looks are the most important thing to women.
It was season 6 episode 1

I just checked this and it seems like house was seething because andre braugher called him out for caring about cuddy, which tracks
So pretty. Excellent in Banshee too
He did. It was just offscreen. Wilson and Foreman found him in the final episode by asking the therapist about it
whats something that got dropped?

Nah, house would never kill himself on purpose. He either died from old age or OD'd
I've always felt like House would go practice medicine in China after Wilson died. The chinks would let him do all the experiments he wants.
he would last about 15 minutes in China until he wound up in a gulag for mouthing off to the wrong government official. he'd need some kind of powerful state sponsor to keep him out of trouble. especially considering the whole fugitive that faked his death thing.

Based in a fantasy world where everyone has incredible insurance coverage.
Admit him!
I'm sure most hospitals are also set up as charities or non-profits, meaning donations are tax deductible.
>do yank hospitals blah blah all this money
yes, think of today alone all the free money from autistic kids being fooled into troonyism
also, the clinic was a free clinic, thats where all the none-insurance none-private room having plot device characters exist
How long until Old House semi-reboot?
It's never gonna happen, house conned his way into living a cozy little life raising a talking mouse with his new family. it's crazy but it's actually real.

Actually very blackpilled
They had an episode where they bet Chase that if he acted like an american loser in a speed dating competition he'd still walk away with the most numbers and he does. Looks are the most important thing to women.
It was season 6 episode 1
