I liked him. His design is pretty good, "British punk parody Spiderman" is a fun concept, and I think he actually turned out to be more interesting as a character than Peter was. He was also just entertaining to watch, he spends basically his entire screen time broing it up and shit talking Miguel while brazenly stealing shit, and it's made clear that he does this so much nobody even questions his constant petty theft anymore.
Plus they managed to give him a surprising amount of depth despite the fact that he only really shows up for like 20 minutes. Seriously, he's in like 2 scenes and then almost literally peaces out of the plot, we don't see him again for the rest of the movie. It would have been really easy to lean into the joke and just make him a generic, shallow, punk pastiche, but he's shown to be smart, aware, and genuinely perceptive. Dude spent weeks or months stealing the components to make the dimension traveling bracelets literally right in front of everyone and masking it as the kind of ultimately meaningless "frick the man" anti-authority troublemaking you'd expect from a sterotypical punk. That's a damn good plan and shows a lot of forethought and awareness. They clearly went out of their way to make him more than just a one note joke and it worked really well.
