>Thousands of artists desperately try to mimic anime
>Japan doesn't give a single frick
>Pic related's cartoons have absolutely nothing to do with anime
>Japan loves them so much, several studios hired it to design their vidyas
Unironically how did they do it?

Why would the Japanese want foreign knockoffs of their own things?
That's Unamerican talk.
Cause Japanese aren't pussies like the west. No wonder why western cartoonists are trying to get in to the Japanese animation industry.
Are you an AI?
No just a fricking loser who actually gives a frick about the animation industry. Which is why I'm glad these woke losers who can't draw worth a frick is out in the streets. Japan and AI animators from India will replace these hack "cartoonists"
What? The strikes are only affecting actors, not animatiors
Anon, they’re an avatargay, it’s not surprising they’re moronic and talking out of their ass.
Why would he be? If you were saying that to shit on him as a stupid person, fine, but are you so delusional you think that’s what AI really looks like?
Are there even AI bots on Cinemaphile or is that just a urban Cinemaphile myth like the "Spongebob storyboard artist".
There are bots on Cinemaphile in general
What's the name of this anime again i kinda forgot about it
Birchy it's good to see you back again i notice your Karine art
Thanks.
>Birchy
>Augie Dogie
You two need to have a nice day.
>Japan loves them so much, several studios hired it to design their vidyas
Bitch, you mean 3 ps2 games in the mid 2000s that didn't sell well? I know this is bait but at least try.
I don't even like the style of most anime but to say "Japan doesn't give a single frick" about the style is funny when it's so oversaturated.
>Japan doesn't give a single frick
Tell that to the amount of collabs the anime industry has done with France. They care if it's a country that actually respects the medium.
John K's style is heavily inspired on Golden Age cartoons and Nips love those too.
Yep look at Fleischer and Disney, without them Anime would not be much of a thing.
I never cared a whole lot for R&S, but I like the style that it created. My favorite part is the painted close-ups (which later on Spongebob started using)
Because they want something they can't get in their own country. Going to America for knock-off anime is like going to Japan to eat McDonald's. Hell, do they even like Avatar: The Last Airbender in Japan?
Another important thing is that Spumco is the only studio besides AKA to master well-drawn cartoony cartoons in recent memory.
Which Japanese studios and projects have used spumco employees? Is this about one piece?
Atlus is one of them
They also did this.
there's also a really obscure on called Space Fishermen that doesn't get talked about as much as the other two
>Thousands of artists desperately try to mimic anime
Toei has been hiring them to do One Piece and Pierrot has been doing the same with Boruto, Japan is hiring them, you're just pissed that they're not hiring gaijin to do moeblob or fan service sows.
Telecom with Galaxy High, John K was also a character designer on Osamu Dezaki's Little Nemo Pilot as well.
(at 20:38)
John K art fitted the retro wacky psychedelic style Japan was slightly obsessed with in the 2000 for some reason.
i still love super milk chan's style a lot.
more than the show itself
Is "Japan likes John K" the new imaginary cope from john k stans
but 10 Japanese do, so it must be the majority
The whole point of consuming foreign media is to experience something different from what you're used to. Why would you watch the same shit your country already does but worse? Didn't those countless of weebs you mentioned early make this obvious to you?
Where’s Guy? I’m shocked he’s not here.
Looks like jannies finally did their job and banned his ass.
>several studios hired it to design their vidyas
Reminder Go Go Hypergrind had to eventually hire another artist because John was taking too long to deliver
Really makes you think
You have any proof of these claims other than your butthole?
Something I noticed is all Japanese animation is super stiff. Even “cartoony” studios like Gainax or Trigger, who have westaboo’s in them, still have this stiffness. It might unironically have a lot to do with their rigid, perfectionist animation culture.
John K’s style has always been counter culture and very elastic. It’s not hard to see why they are in awe of it.
Telecom will like to have a word with you.
Western character designers and storyboards. The Japanese can ink and color it really well, though.
Most of the storyboards are from Japan and Japan did secondary and background character designs.

Gee it's almost as if cultural and art history are related and once you ditch your own in favor of aping a foreign style you create the worst of both worlds.
Stick to your native philosophies and do what's been passed down to you: it's going to create the most sound artistic style and nobody will be able to replicate it, just like how Japan can't replicate Western cartoons and the West can't replicate anime.
Except if you make a joke about atomic bombs
