it's cold outside
DUANE DIBBLEY?
Marooned is my favourite episode.
for me? it's polymorph
I find it hard to pick a favourite, there are so many good ones. Tikka to Ride is one of my favorites though, I also really enjoy the earlier seasons, despite being rough around the edges they have so much charm. Things do really kick off when Kryten comes in though, such a good character
Future Echoes for me
Also Back to Reality
Justice is also a classic one
Inquisitor is kino
>DELICIOUS
The first eps I ever saw were the latter few seasons where the whole crew was resurrected and they had some hot chick in the core group (Kochanski). BBC America was running a marathon and I happened to click into it, kept it on for several days straight. I know a lot of fans don't prefer these latter seasons, but they hold a special place in my heart.
Never thought I would see a RD basedjack image lmaooo. In my personal opinion the later seasons are definitely not as great as the earlier stuff but they certainly are still enjoyable and heaps better than more than 90% of TV coming out these days
They're comedic masterpieces compared to Back to Earth.
Agreed, BTE is painful to watch
white hole was the first episode I ever saw and was hooked immediately so it holds a special place for me similarly
I think my overall favourite episode is probably legion
I'm a Bong and feel the same because series 8 was the first one I saw as a wee lad. I don't understand the hate for it, the comedy was top tier even if the >soul left the show a bit since it was no longer just the Boys From the Dwarf. Series 7 is far worse imo.
I don't think anyone actually likes Kochanski as a character, even the Clare Grogan version, but everyone who says they wouldn't slam Chloe Annett is a liar.
>everyone who says they wouldn't slam Chloe Annett is a liar.
she's got all those in and out bits I like
For me, it’s Mr. Flibble.
this is an SOS distress call from the Cinemaphile general /reddwarf/
the posters are dead, killed by a troony leak
the only survivors are anon, who was banned during the disaster, and a tripgay who was safely posting in the old thread
revived 3 days later anon's only companions are a life form who evolved from tripgay and janny, a hologram simulation of the man who banned him

You are not OP Black person stop lying it's ME!
The whole show is meant to be an obvious analogy for life and dealing with nihilism. We're just nobodies in a universe that doesn't care about us drifting towards nowhere and there's no purpose or meaning. At least that's the show in its early seasons.
btw, YTV played this shit all the time late at night and I'd catch glimpses of it but not always full episodes. I remember the song and I remember Lister in his bunk chatting and not much else happening. to me it was a strange show but the song was really memorable to me. I think YTV was just replaying the first season on repeat forever.
Something kind of off-putting and scary about the show for me as a kid. It's this sense of lonliness and those shots of the ship scared me. I was like 5 btw.
>I was like 5 btw.
Hot, would smash.
Don't make jokes like that. Be better.
Anyways I'm British but I never watched it. Found episode 1 here. https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x269pjp Gonna give it ago.
>laughtrack
:/ Hmm... We shall see.
>Laugh track
That's a literal studio audience sat 20ft away from the set.
Please for the love of god don't use dailymotion for watching TV. Either just use https://fmoviesz.to/tv/red-dwarf-1q33x if you insist on streaming or just torrent every series like I do
Why not? No ads, decent quality, the videos never seem to be fricked with. I'll dip in every once in a while and watch Father Ted on there. I don't need fancy ultra HD bullshit for old 80s and 90s shows man.
It's just objectively a worse experience than fmovies with an ad blocker or just playing files locally in VLC
The earlier series are a bit rough around the edges as I mentioned. Personally I enjoy them a lot but if you don't find yourself enjoying them just stick with it until the series comes into it's own, in my opinion it's around season 3
>it's around season 3
There's a reason for that.
Exactlyyyyy, he adds so much to the show, imo it wouldn't be half of what it is without him. I love Robert Llewellyn, but I do wonder what the show would be like in some backwards universe where David Ross stayed on long time
I must be moronic because I've never thought about it like that but it makes a lot of sense actually. I'm doing a rewatch at the moment which is why I made this thread so I'll be thinking about that
Love you Max and I hope you're happy
How are the modern series, last thing I saw was the movie on earth?
They're alright. I'd put them somewhere between series 6 and 8. Microscopic budget works in its favour.
