Sentry was initially short haired, becoming Fabio was a Bendis era thing that stuck forever afterwards. At least it made sense at the time because he became an Avenger and that team already had a couple of short haired blondes (Captain America and Hawekeye).

That's actually pretty dope, Steven Yeun is a good actor and was great in Beef, he can 100% pull off unhinged super god.
Well, at least with a good director, but this is recent MCU, so I won't try to form any opinion before watching it

50/50. Yuen is a higher profile actor so it could be a one and done however despite becoming a bigger name in Hollywood within the last 3 years he still hasn't shyed away from doing the weird nerd shit he was doing in the 2010's.

It's that or get jobbed to hell. The villains in his three minis were his evil alter-ego for 2 of them, and on the third it was his vengeful PTSD sidekick gaining the same powers Sentry had. Even the Avengers were side characters.

Post-Bendis it's canon he gets big muscles, godlike powers, and long hair when becoming Sentry, so it's a good enough comparison.
Sentry has always been middle aged, with substance abuse and mental issues. He shouldn't be played by anybody too young.

Wonder if they will keep Sentry's heroin origin. Also kinda lame that they revealed that Void would be his split personality right off the bat. That mystery is one of Sentry's biggest selling point
I doubt they'll make that explicit, it could get them an R rating. And it could work as long as it's a mystery for the characters and normies. Most of them shouldn't know Sentry in the first place, and the marketing shouldn't focus too much on the Void. The Multiverse of Madness trailer focused more on evil Strange than Scarlet Witch for the villain.
