The dialog on most characters is abysmal. I'm fairly certain some of them communicate in a language that consists of the word "frick" over and over in different tones, pitches, and tempo to communicate. If there were a little more effort to convey a character's personality without "Look how fricking mature this fricking one is because he fricking says 'frick' like 30 fricking times every fricking line like a fricking badass" it would reflect a lot better. Outside of that, it's reasonably average for what it is trying to be.

There's a manga with similar concept. A normal hell for basic sinners and then the "deep hell" for murderer and rapists. I don't remember its name but one of the characters is a e-girl torturer.
God is replaced with "a council of elder angels" who are meanies and bigots apparently (according to the millennial writer) for kicking Lucifer out after he fricked around and caused trouble.
I finished up the singing scene in the first episode and turned it off. Feels like the creator wanted to take a pinch of Jack Skellington, Twilight Sparkle and Ariel and roll them all together to make Charlie. Add to it really unpleasant lyrics and questionable singing and the end result is not very good. What you get is a raunchy Ariel without Jack's charisma, or his singing ability. I liked the TV host side character from what little I saw of him, but none of the other characters have a screen presence

The dialog on most characters is abysmal. I'm fairly certain some of them communicate in a language that consists of the word "frick" over and over in different tones, pitches, and tempo to communicate. If there were a little more effort to convey a character's personality without "Look how fricking mature this fricking one is because he fricking says 'frick' like 30 fricking times every fricking line like a fricking badass" it would reflect a lot better. Outside of that, it's reasonably average for what it is trying to be.
It really is shit. Excessive swearing is a sign that the writer is unable to convey anything witty with character interactions, so instead opts to have them spew out non-stop profanities

I finished up the singing scene in the first episode and turned it off. Feels like the creator wanted to take a pinch of Jack Skellington, Twilight Sparkle and Ariel and roll them all together to make Charlie. Add to it really unpleasant lyrics and questionable singing and the end result is not very good. What you get is a raunchy Ariel without Jack's charisma, or his singing ability. I liked the TV host side character from what little I saw of him, but none of the other characters have a screen presence

The Charlie stuff is generally pretty good, and the Vox/Alistair stuff works, but a lot of the other character just drop random "frick"s that don't feel organic seemingly just to remind you this is an edgy show in Hell.
