Weird movie because it follows this weird premise of a guy basically throwing his life away for nothing to become a prison demon with a benevolent core while successfully maintaining a Peckinpahian illusion (because Peckinpah's characters weren't morons)

Did you even watch the movie? He throws away his life to protect his family (literally the only thing he gives a shit about) from the beast

At first he becomes a gang member because it's a necessity to not get raped and killed in prison. He's some sort of aggressive business executive and in the beginning of the movie he plays basketball in that sort of way as well. He's a man who is willing to do whatever to win and get by. In prison this means he's going to shove shit up his ass and shank other people until he's higher on the pecking order. That means going deeper into the shit.

Then it becomes needing to save his family by getting life in prison to be the top dog and not have the guy from Mindhunters kill his son and wife.

He didnt need to kill the Black person during the prison riot just to protect some beaner who was nothing to him. That ,the gun deal with the army fed, and the parole officer were weak and sloppy parts of the script.

the weakest part is him replacing beast with zero connections and destroyed reputation

You don't understand anon, prison is like a video game where you kill the final boss you get to take all his loot and stuff.

The film has its weak points but I dont think this is one of them. Money was already a legend among the AB and PEN1 by the time his sentence got extended for the first time, Redwood says this to him when he gets transfered to Corcoran and that even Beast was aware of his status. He has another 8 years after this of putting in work for the Brotherhood, and then somehow gets to the leader who has ran the group from max sec for years, and kills him without a scratch. Money is now seen as a God and probably inherited most of Beast's assets, and the respect of the Surenos after splitting the arms deal with the leader.

Roberts (the correctional officer who was working for Beast) was at Money's plea bargaining to see if Money would testify against Beast to the Omari Hardwick cop character. Money didn't say anything so it's likely Beast thought he was clean until he got the intel on Shotgun's death, which was after Money was back in Corcoran

What happens if the Mexicans see you crying?

Literally nothing. People cry in prison, it's depressing.

your overthinking it. he was just an ordinary business man guy that knew if he was going to be sucessful in prison he would have to play by the rules there the same way he did on the outside to become successful. his life was over the minute he went inside because it was impossible to not get into trouble fighting.

Great, now I remember Mindhunter exists and they're probably never going to make another season of it.
Netflix has fully adopted the Buzzfeed content creation formula. Forget producing good things for a limited audience. Focus on rage bait current issue rubbish.

They never will, it's already been confirmed, plus all the characters are much older now, would just be weird. Sucks because it was my favorite show by far.

All of them being older now would actually be perfect though because in the first two seasons they were setting up BTK/Dennis Rader who wasn't caught until 20 years after the show was set. They could have a timeskip, everyone is older, and they're back on the BTK cold case.

Mindhunter waa so boring and the MC was clearly a gay guy playing a straight guy. My sister even asied me once "is he meant to be gay?". I genuinely thought there was gonna be some twist about him being gay.
