It always makes me chuckle that the left b***hes about Conservatives banning literal porn in schools while censoring or outright banning books for being mildly "offensive"

God I didn't even think of that, I'd rather a banned untouch book you'll eventually be able to find than a censored book with no indication it's even been censored. This is so fricked.

no man didn't you read about the GRAPHIC novel version of Anne Frank? They made porn out of it and put it in schools! There's no need for that story to be graphic!

No. It's LGBT slice of life books, like shit from Gabby Riviera.

The fact she has near-constant frick me eyes in this GN still blows my mind. Even moreso when you realized it was sanctioned by their estate.

I really didn't get the confederate love for her, but now I do.

Most of the stuff the censorship busybodies claim is aimed at 6 year olds isn't. The stuff that IS aimed at 6 year olds explain sex in a way that will make the kid realise if they're being molested, so they can tell someone. A prepubescent kid isn't going to go out and frick because he read a library book explaining sex but they will recognise the things being described if it's being done to them at some point and know it's not okay for a kid.

Feel like teens is best. 12 years old is when we should teach them that shit.

Why are we telling 6 year olds about gay buttsecks

You're behind on the times. See Blues Clues, and the like. And I've seen review copies of what future educational books are going to be like.

their real goal is to remove all forms of sex ed and abortion so that the kids will end up teenage parents because they thought you couldn't get pregnant if you fricked in a pool and similar ideas, feeding the meat packing places and other factories or fast food places with underage workers that they can pay a pittance because 'you're just a kid'

That's not aimed at 6 year olds. It's someone's life memoir. Are you moronic?

Was literally in elementary schools which is entirely why it was banned from schools in the first place.

                Anonymous

No it wasn't in elementary schools, one middle school teacher brought it to their classroom to read some snippets to the class, not even letting them read it and thus seeing the pictures, and then it's been banned in high schools. Again, you've swallowed pro-censorship propaganda. At no point has six year olds been checking it out from their school library. It's pearl-clutching.

                [...]
                Ok
It's still in libraries where 6 year olds can read it

There's lots of books in libraries that six year olds aren't allowed to read. Should we ban everything that a child can't read from libraries, just on the off-chance that the librarians and parents don't pay attention and let a six year old borrow The Road?

ehhh, sounds like teacher was in the wrong for bringing it in. kids might want to continue reading it from the preview

                Anonymous

So? That doesn't justify censorship in higher forms of education, which is what's happening. Older teens are not going to go nuts by reading a comic book memoir that happens to show a fricking strapon in one panel.

Public funds shouldn't be used to put stupid overtly pornagraphic shit in libraries especially school libraries. If you're that fricking desperate to read a graphic novel where the protagonist gets their prosthetic penis sucked off you can buy it yourself.

Oh so now it's just an argument about how public funds are used in high schools, not about six year olds reading it?

                Anonymous

wait so is it a middle school teacher or high school? is the ban blanketed on all educational levels? Are there schools in the area that has faculties for both middle school and high school, thus sharing the same libraries? my school used to be huge and had elementary, middle and high all together and apart from the kindergartner stuff the library was shared across all levels, so I could understand it if per-level bans are not enough

Honestly the thing I dislike the most about the content of this one is how many animals Tintin kills. He blows up a Rhino with fricking dynamite. Tintin's usually a likeable protagonist, but there isn't much likable about pointlessly blowing up a Rhino with dynamite.

      >censoring roahld dahl books
Censorship is worse than banning, IMO. What they're doing to Dahl and Fleming's books is ridiculous.
At least when a book is banned there's always a way to find a copy somewhere. When it's "only" censored, finding the real deal becomes much harder. And you have to be aware that what you're looking for WAS censored to begin with; otherwise you'll get screwed. Because they don't preface books with a trigger warning in this case, huh?

I only found out about the censoring by accident. I went to my local used book shop i normally frequent for comics and books. I picked charlie and the chocolate factory to read to my kid, the guy at the till said good choice on getting an old uncensored version... i had to ask him what he meant. Apparently pointing out fat people are fat and kids who think they are cowboys have lots of guns is bad.

To be fair when the right "bans" something it's in public institutions. You're still completely capable of purchasing the item in question via private enterprises and stores. When the Left censors or bans a work of art it is banned from private publishers and can not be purchased whatsoever. What the left is doing is easily way more morally reprehensible.

Not only is it reprehensible, but It also manufactures conservatives or, at the very least drives people to the right. Frick, all you have to do these days to be driven to the right is stand fricking still for five minutes.
