this movie looks like shit tho and extremely pandering and try hard, why do they have to speak in spanish every two words? why do they center the film around his family instead of around him? why can't they be background characters like aunt May in the sam raimi spiderman movies? why are blue beetle powers more like green lantern rather than Ironman in endgame? why is the story not centered in the succession line of the blue beetle showing Ted Kord passing his legacy to Jaime like in the spiderverse movies? why is this movie so shit??????
I've said this in every thread on this shit movie. I'm half Mexican, I read the original run of his Blue Beetle comic, I like the actor from Cobra Kai, I'm the target audience for this movie. I will NEVER fricking watch it in theaters, here's why:
-The "super hero with a wacky family" angle is cringe and repellant.
-I fricking hate rap and hip-hop and it's played through the entire fricking trailer.
-No compelling villain, he has several in the comics but instead Susan Sarandon said in an interview she's the villain and she plays "the face of evil white corporate capitalism" or some dumb shit. No thanks, elderly women aren't intimidating.
-George Lopez is an butthole, his character looks like an butthole, then he opens his mouth and calls Batman a fascist so I know he's an butthole.
I'm keeping my pesos.
